The service here has gone way down hill since the man started working here Normally it's two women who are not very friendly to us but I noticed very kind to the white customers ...we used to come here weekly but enough is enough The final example of racism and rude behavior here we were standing in line I was in the middle of ordering a white customer walks in behind me and the woman at the cash register with the gray hair says oh I need to take him first because he called earlier I'm literally in the middle of speaking my order to her and she says this we will never ever come here or support a business like this here are some more examples of why we were unfortunately not be eating at this restaurant ever again! The man is extremely rude you can tell he doesn't want to be working here...I have seen him speak very rudely to the staff that makes the sushi making for an extremely uncomfortable situation! I really love the sushi here and have gone several times however they are so rude if you ask for more soy sauce or chopsticks or anything at all. They are stingy and give you the bare minimum. I've order several rolls, obviously for a big family and get home to find just one pair of chop sticks and 3 tiny packets of soy sauce when the order was huge and expensive. Was in the mood for sushi, but didn't want to break the bank. This place is not super authentic-- they offer all the no frills more Americanized type of rolls. Definitely a casual sushi spot. Crispy Rice Appetizer--4 pieces to an order. I think this is inspired from Nobu's crispy rice with tuna. I could tell this was a new item on the menu and the chefs didn't really know how to make it yet. I think this dish has alot of potential to be one of their best items but they fried the rice too much and was a few notches after crispy which made it too hard and not as enjoyable. The spicy tuna and sauce on top had good flavor which I liked. California Roll--Pretty standard. The price on their basic rolls are the lowest I have seen in a while and I think these are a steal for the cost ($5). Salmon Nigiri--Good. I liked their fish to rice ratio (not too much rice). Have had better salmon cuts but ok for the price. Black Tiger Roll--Would skip on this next time. The sauce on top made it overly sweet and didn't match the unagi (which is already slightly sweet). Thought the crunch on top was unnecessary. Overall, this is a great spot for when you want sushi (particularly roll type) and are not looking for a super authentic meal or high quality cuts. More of a 3.5 stars but rounding up bc service was friendly and for what it is, I think the price point is great and would come again and try other rolls. read more

This review is only for delivery: There weren't any issues with the delivery, but after ordering, we received a call that they were unable to fulfill the order of the Tom Kha noodles. So we just changed the order to udon noodles. We ordered a variation of food of udon noodles, steamed gyoza, lion king, sake tower, dragon, snow mountain, and spicy hamachi maki. The best thing from what we ordered was the sake tower, having a good mix of rice, avocado, sake, and crab salad topped with seaweed salad. The rest of the order was really ok.... All the rolls fell apart and the fish was mediocre in terms of freshness I'm honestly not sure if I would order from here again, maybe it would be better in store but I'm not really tempted to give it another try read more

Im going through a lot rn so I get super fucking weird and sensitive if people dont roll the red carpet out for me when I get to a restaurant. I decided not leaving a tip would be standing up for myself Boy did the gods reveal me to be the asshole. Please tip the girl shes super nice and the rest of the crew, they kinda annoyed me because they were experiencing joy as I was not... Tip them too!! This sush was so f**** good. I ate it in my car on the 17 until I was like pull over. Lets all refocus away from all the bad decisions I made this day and refocus on How fresh the fish was, how the ingredients and mix for a spicy tuna roll and the yam roll I got were so chefs kiss that Im writing a 5 star review for a tuna roll. Drove past this place for years and finally gave it a try. So glad we did! Enjoyed two Bento Boxes (pick 3 items plus rice, salad and miso soup). Lots of food and kind service. Only ding was listening to K-Pop music our entire meal, but then I must be getting old. Next time we'll split a Bento Box plus order one roll - That will be plenty for us two. If I could rate this 6 stars, I would. The food was amazing and the fish was high quality. The tempura was also the best I've ever had. The tea was delicious. They did mess up our order and gave us a different dish than we asked but then corrected it and gave us the right dish so we technically got a free roll. They gave us our food surprisingly fast and usually sushi restaurants give small amounts but they have us a large amount. Super friendly. read more

9/11.. it has now been 10 days and the charge was never removed from my credit card. I have reached out to the restaurant and 'rapidyum' and have been ignored by both. Super unprofessional. DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE. They do not tell you the wait time ahead of time and they force you to pay with a card. Only after I paid did they tell me it would 35 minutes for a SPICY TUNA ROLL. THAT IS RIDICULOUS. Called to confirm because that seemed insane. Was told that yes. At 530 on a Tuesday evening it will take me 35 minutes to get a spicy tuna roll. I ask if I can cancel since I JUST placed the order....that has to be done on the website. Wouldn't you know, the website has NO WAY to cancel your order. Called the restaurant again and was told sorry, we dont know how to use to app to cancel. All I wanted was a quick bite to eat. Oh yeah and all of this after I pre-tipped 22% on my card because I like to be extra supportive during these hard times. UPDATE: begrudgingly waited the 35 minutes. Went to pick up the order. They didn't make it because they didn't think I was gonna pick it up. And they still charged me. I'm furious. read more

First time trying this place. I'm picky about sushi and this was delicious!! My husband and I both got bento box lunches and everything was fresh and very good. Nothing was too salty and the flavors were perfect. I had the salmon teriyaki, spicy tuna roll and tempura. My husband got the chicken teriyaki, gyoza and tempura. Everything was great. I don't really know how this place has 4 stars. We went in for a quick lunch. They offered tap water or bottled water. We asked for tap and a dirty pitcher of water was left at our table. I asked for cold green tea and was brought regular ice tea (I think this was a language misunderstanding) It was suspicious dark and did not have any ice. I appreciate there were lots of pictures of the food. I ordered sashimi salad. It looked nothing like the picture. It was obvious they tried to hide ends and pieces of fish as sashimi. The flavor of the salad was too tangy since they mixed it with seaweed salad instead of putting it on the side. My husband ordered a plate of sashimi with no sauce because he has allergies, and it came out with sauce so we had to send it back. I also ordered a salmon skin roll that also tasted slightly off, but it was definitely bigger than I expected. Which is why I gave 2 stars. For the price we paid for lunch for 3 people $80 we could have gone to a much nicer place a little further away. Lesson learned. We will not be going back. read more

Let me start with an unexpected note. It's actually called Wasabi Tapas, not Wasabi Sushi, and it serves both Thai and Sushi dishes. Check out their web site to learn more about owner Kae Bailes' incredible journey to open a restaurant. We started with an Ahi Tower which is ahi piled high on sushi rice with avocado, shredded crab and their special sauce. Delicious. I wonder if the Salmon Tower is this good. We decided to try some specialty rolls, even though Yelp reviews were a bit mixed. Lion King is essentially a California roll wrapped with salmon and covered with spicy mayo, then baked. It's really good but too rich for me. I only wanted 3 of the 8 pieces. I enjoyed the Snow Mountain more. It's a hamachi roll topped w/spicy tuna and crabmeat. It's a more nuanced taste with only a touch of the spicy mayo. We also had Hamachi and Albacore nigiri. Both were quite fresh. Some yelpers complained the nigiri and rolls are small -- I didn't notice it although I suppose the prices were a dollar or two more than I expected. Everyone was quite nice. Their web site mentions a Japan-trained male sushi chef but, when we were there, the chef was female. My summary: solid sushi place to have in the rotation. read more

I hate to write this bc restaurants are struggling right now, but this place has a big quality control issue that are holding them back from being really decent 4+ stars consistently. I've ordered from them 15+ times. Last few times my orders were slap dashed together, missing important ingrediants, rice overcooked (like grains were almost indiscernable from each other) and under seasoned. Avocado used has been past due (like when the flesh is yellow green and dark brown) and they still use it. It ruins the entire roll. Has happened 3x now. Sushi is highly technical, you can't hide when things are off bc it's only a handful of ingredients. Quality is great when owner makes it (during the day I think), but evening orders have been off. When it varies so much and I'm paying full price, I sadly will not return. read more
