When I said I was ordering more she seemed upset that she had to ring me up again, Nonetheless I ordered another lunch beef terriyaki, two pot sticker orders , and three soy wrapped sushi : (1) cucumber (1) avocado (1) sweet potato my total was $85.93 Price wasn't terribly bad, but the service was poor and didn't match up with what customer service should be. Have been here a few times. I decided to try the hibachi meal instead of sushi. I ordered scallops/veggies. Came with "salad" which was nothing but soaking wet iceberg lettuce and bland ginger dressing. I told the server to take her time with the food. She came out with the salad in one minute or less. I then said please take your time on the meal. She came back 2 minutes later with the meal. Not happy. The scallops were the small bay scallops which is fine for the price- but they had zero char on them - meaning they were not cooked on a hibachi whatsoever. They were steamed or something along those lines and tossed in soy sauce, but not cooked on a hibachi grill. The vegetables that came with it were peeled zucchini (which means the zucchini was probably near rotten), and there 2 slices of carrot, mushroom and onion, and 2 very tiny pieces of broccoli. She had asked me if I wanted fried rice or white steamed rice and I said fried rice please. Typically there's something in the fried rice. This was nothing but steamed rice that she had put soy sauce on. Not cooked on the grill at all. Very disappointing- the whole meal. I think their sushi is decent, but I would never get their hibachi meals again. Wish I'd have gone somewhere else as I don't go out to dinner often. read more

I'm so happy that Wasabi is around the corner from me. Their tempura is outstanding. Hubby and I usually order the shrimp and veggie tempura. It's packed with a crunch and piping hot. I like the "sunset boulevard" sushi -- it has mango on the top. And addicting. We tried the salmon katsu sushi -- so out of this world. It inspired us to make it at home it was just as delicious. Maybe our expectations were too high. ‍ I see some of the other reviewers photos and that is not at all what our food looked like when we brought it home. Most of the rolls were small. I agree with others, the food is mediocre. The Volcano Roll specified "baked conch, krab, mayo on top". There is def no conch. It looks like shredded imitation crab slightly toasted with a spicy sauce drizzled over it. The Dragon Roll ...... listed as "tuna, salmon, white fish, krab, cream cheese, fish eggs". That was the only fried roll we ordered and it was a major let down. The ratio of rice to the other ingredients that were supposed to be in the roll...ridiculous. Also a complete lack of batter on the outside. On a good note... both the miso soup and clear soup were amazing! Unless we're craving soup, we will be venturing elsewhere. read more

Came here for lunch with my parents on a weekday afternoon. It wasn't too busy, so we got our choice of seats and went with a booth in the back. Service was really quick and friendly! My mom had raved about the lunch special so I already knew what to look for. The menu had lots of options and really good prices. I settled on the 2 roll sushi meal and got miso soup and salad with ginger dressing (I heard another customer order ranch for their salad so I know there's more options which is great since most places just have one choice!) For my two rolls I picked the California roll and the crunchy tuna roll. The soup and salad came out together and were both great temperatures. The soup was piping hot and full of flavor and the salad was crisp! The dressing seemed a bit watery but that didn't stop me from devouring both immediately! The rolls were smaller than I'm used to, but were perfect bite sized morsels. The California roll was perfect! Good balance of crab, avocado, and cucumber. The crunchy tuna roll left a lot to be desired, no crunch factor at all which is what I was really looking forward too. Maybe the tuna filling was too moist so made the crunchy bits soggy too fast. We went in for lunch on the weekend. We were greeted by a young girl who seated us and took our order. We ordered the lunch special. We could see the chef in the back of the restaurant making our sushi. Our salad came first with the most delicious ginger dressing. Then came our bowls of soup. We got the miso soup and it was piping hot with lots of flavor. Our sushi rolls were perfect. All the ingredients were fresh and very tasty. Portions are pretty big. There was every kind of sushi roll you could think of on the menu plus many other items. I saw some tasty looking potstickers the table next to us ordered. Next time I will get some of those. The restaurant decor is a little lackluster, but the food and service absolutely make up for it! Their sushi menu is quite large (like a "War and Peace" novel), and is very descriptive for those not familiar with some of the more traditional sushi rolls. I like going there for Japanese beer, especially because they always bring a iced beer mug to the table! The ladies that serve you, are very attentive and have such a positive and upbeat attitude. Our family orders take-away sushi from here quite often. I've never eaten in the restaurant. I'm selfishly loathe to let the word out to too many people, but this is one of the best sushi restaurants in our area. They have a great selection, are always spot on with quality, and they really know how to put together good sushi. I'd say they are average price for sushi, not high, not low. However I will tell you that they messed up my order tried to say that a dragon roll shouldn't have avocado on top as it's pictured on their menu and I simply stated even after tipping them over two dollars for a take out order that the role was wrong. I'll admit I was little skeptical. Sushi? In Florida? In a Publix parking lot? But, I gave it a chance and was pleasantly surprised by this little strip mall sushi joint. Very nice family restaurant vibe and spacious interior considering the location. We got there around 11:15 (first customers of the day dorks) but within about 20 minutes, there were several take out orders being placed as well as several other tables filling up quickly. Do yourself a favor and order the lunch special ($6.99 for two rolls or $9.99 for three rolls) that include the sushi rolls of your choice, miso soup and a salad. Seriously a deal! The quality of the rolls were fresh and although a little petite in size, were just the right portion for lunch. I don't eat any meat, so I went with the veggie rolls which had a nice variety of mushrooms, avocado and cucumber. My sister got a variety that included shrimp, spicy tuna and the sweet potatoe rolls. Usually with the lunch specials at other places you are limited on the types of rolls you can mix and match. Not so here! Topped it off with iced grean teas and mochi red bean ice cream for dessert. For two of us, it was under $30 for a pretty stellar lunch.
