Uh, no...but it's better than grabbing something from Sbarro and Chick-fil-a, and honestly, the sushi is pretty damn good. Don't want to wait or feel sketchy grabbing from the conveyer? I always love trying out conveyor belt sushi places, but they always seem to end up the same ... fun, but in terms of food, it's just mediocre "Americanized" sushi. Their salmon nigiri were actually quite good and seemed pretty fresh, but everything else did not taste as good. A lot of the rolls were falling apart on their plates as they made their way around the conveyor belt--they weren't being wrapped tightly enough. It's also quite amusing to see the PB&J "roll" make its way around. There are definitely always a lot of plates on the belt, but there isn't actually much variety of food--a few different types of sushi rolls, tuna/salmon/eel nigiri, spring/vegetable rolls, and the occasional cake. The waiters are very friendly and attentive. It's just that the food isn't worth spending your money on. To be clear, it's not the most fresh nor is it the best sushi I've ever eaten, it's because the experience altogether is one that I dearly love. I will keep going back over and over because it's so fun to grab your sushi from the conveyor and get the exact portion you expect. If you want truly fresh sushi, you can ask them to make it for you and they will make it on the spot as well as sashimi. My favorite plate there is the Seared Salmon. You've got to try that. The sear makes the flavor pop!!!!! The sushi isn't expensive and the wait isn't long. And I personally love ending my meal with a dessert from the conveyor as well. Again, this is not my favorite sushi restaurant and isn't the best sushi I've ever had. I should've read the reviews first. My wife and I ate here yesterday, on a busy Sunday afternoon. I've had much better conveyor-belt sushi in CA, Hong Kong, and Japan. Negative #1: Where's the food? The belt barely had any sushi. It was the same salmon sashimi moving over and over, and we eventually had to special-order what we wanted. WTF? Negative #2: Consistency Most of the rolls were cut WAY too small, about 2 cm in height. I've never seen such small sushi in my entire life. I only saw one other plate of cucumber rolls that was 1.5" high, but 99% of the rolls were about 1-2 cm. Second, the sashimi and nigiri sushi: the fish is cut paper thin. Our fish was fresh, but it was the lack of food on the belt and the consistency which makes this a 2-star review. If anyone from the restaurant is reading this: 1) Make sure those who aren't sitting right in front of the bar [where I suspect all the food is going] have some sushi to select off of the conveyor belt. 2) Train the chefs to actually make sushi in the right proportions. The sushi was delicious, especially for the price. We paid about $40 for two people, and got different varieties of sushi, edamame and mochi (dessert). We probably ate about 10 plates. The mochi was tender, sweet and succulent. Service is great, friendly, attentive. We came with our 8 month old daughter who sat in a highchair and threw her toy on the ground a billion times. A server always picked it up (even if it wasn't our assigned server) and oftentimes it was before we noticed anything had even dropped. Our server, Alvin, was very kind and was sure to pay attention to all the details. If you bring your baby, they will even offer to warm up the baby's food for you. It was a lot of fun, to be honest! The kids and I wanted to try this, because we had conveyor belt sushi in Hong Kong. The kids had a lot of fun being able to pick out the sushi as they go by. The kids bento box is a great value if you want to limit the $. For $5, the kid's bento box comes with drink, fruit, Rice and a choice: California roll or PB&J roll or chicken teriyaki as the main dish. However my kids were not able to resist getting additional yummies as they pass by. All in all, the sushi was okay. They do rolls and simple appetizers like edamame and shu mai. We tried the 3 desserts they offered. The Mochi was a little too soft. The kids did not like the texture. They offer a strawberry dessert. It is a pound cake cup with cream and strawberries. It's really fun, but be very careful what you pick out, otherwise, your bill can easily be over $25! Overall I'm satisfied with their food but not crazy for it. For what they are, it's really not bad. I was very excited to see Mochi, and I tried it. It's fresh made and the rice dough is delicious, but the fillings was ok. I didn't try a lot of raw sushi or sashimi because I don't know how long they let those dishes sit and go around...... By looking at it, I didn't pick out any this evening! This place was an immediate letdown once we sat down. It all started with the host saying we had a 25-minute wait which turned out to be 25 seconds. The thing I love about this place is that there is no wait for food, so if you're starving, you don't have to go through the hassle of waiting to order then waiting for your food.
