I explained how disappointed I was because when I dropped off the garments, there was no mention about having to replace the fabric of the belt loops or completely altering the back of the skirt where the zipper was. She asked what she could do to make it right. I could tell she really cares about her business and customers, as well as the quality of work they produce. I explained that there wasn't much because of how altered they both were but instead, to make sure her parents fully understood what the customer was wanting and not to be afraid to say no if they couldn't actually do it. She agreed and again, couldn't have been more apologetic. This was a learning lesson for both parties and I know how to move forward. In the beginning, she asked if she could give me a refund. I declined at first because I wasn't seeking one but instead, was really hoping something could be done about my clothes. After a few phone calls, I decided I'd go ahead and take it. Prior to this, It had been a while since I've brought something to them but because this was handled so professionally, I'll continue using them but for dry cleaning only. Michelle, thank you for your kindness and empathy you displayed in trying to remedy this situation.

But most of the machines are 4 Loads and Up, so if you need a small, quick wash, you'll be paying $8+ for a wash. No matter what. The first thing I noticed is that the counter attendant was very frantic. Also, there was 3 or 4 year old child in the dry cleaning area where they store the garments that have already been cleaned. The next thing, I hear is a profanity-laced rant coming from a Tiktok video that was playing in the background. I told the counter attendant that type of language was very inappropriate in a professional environment. Her response was she has no control over what is playing on Tiktok. Instead of her saying, I will turn off the cellphone, she continued to allow this young child to hear all of this profanity including the customers in the store. She had no RESPECT for the store or herself. I hope the owner of this American Cleaners reads this review and takes action. Hiring nonprofessional people is a reflection of his establishment. I picked my clothes up from the counter and left. I never encounter this level of disrespect and ghetto behavior.

There is also plenty of counters to fold your laundry on compared to other facilities that are the same size. The dry is free with the wash. I met 2 wonderful folks from this location....Nikki and Nina. They were great...so nice and helpful! I was going to have some alterations done on some other clothing. However after discussing what it could cost, Nikki was honest enough to say it may not be worth it as I could buy something for almost the same cost. I so appreciated her honesty!!! I will bring all my clothes to this location...but highly recommend any of the West Oak Cleaner locations.
