I made a whole account just to leave a review. This place is not racist and the employees do the best under the pressure they have to handle, to keep in mind these people do not just serve you in person they serve 100s of buisness in the area, supplying stores with flowers and nurseries with plants. They are doing ALOT. With that said I am very disheartened by how awful this place has been the last year, maybe longer. I own a small shop and purchase flowers and plants here, I have only experienced a small handful of happy employees, I have always enjoyed working with maddi and del for my flowers, both ladies are always slammed busy but take time to answer all of my questions. The plant department is my biggest issue. It has been a mess for a couple of years, prices are difficult to find, all over Washington floral really but maybe more so on the plants and their selection is always the same. The only glimmer of hope I saw there was a sweet gal named Kayla who ALWAYS dropped everything to help me find the plants that would do best for my business not just trying to sell me things and was so bubbly and kind I started to enjoy it, I was told she unfortunately left recently but the lady they replaced her with Lea was awful, scattered and seemed confused, definitely needed better training and her people skills were not there in the slightest. She was on her computer the whole time not even looking up at me to answer a question. These are all just my experiences and it's sad to see, I've been coming to Washington floral for 7 years and think I'll need to find somewhere else for my plants. read more

Racist, rude and inconsiderate staff!! I cannot believe what just happened to me. My daughter (who is white) told me to visit this shop because they just got a huge shipment of my favorite plant and the staff was super friendly and helpful to her. Well, I walk in (I'm mixed and my hair is currently in braids) and see the cart, full of plants. Literally the MINUTE I started looking at the plants, staff swooped in and removed TWO full pallets of the biggest and prettiest specimens, joking that they were already spoken for and that she "had been meaning to save one for herself." This is after I asked her if they were for sale and she said yes. She kept circling around me the entire time and I thought at first she was trying to help but realized that she was watching to see if I was going to steal something. So I was left looking at one palette of the sad looking leftovers while she looked over my shoulder. At first I thought I was overreacting, but then moments later I saw the same staff person and another staff member fawning over a white lady who was apparently picking up the plants that had been "reserved" for her. They literally told her there were more in the back that she could choose from. I felt sick to my stomach. I have never been treated so poorly in my life, nor have I felt such obvious disregard for myself as a potential customer based solely on my appearance. Little do they know I am a collector and willing to freely spend my dollars when I find a reliable source of rare plants. I can tell you, this is one place I will NEVER give my business to and neither should you. read more

Be aware that while you shop here you won't be able to find anyone to help you (tried numerous times), and if you have questions about what you're buying and the price of it you'll be talked down to and lied to about the price. Here's what happened: found them on tiktok, decided to pay a visit as a plant hoarder. First few visits were fine. Couldn't get help when I had questions but whatever I can google care tips. The last two times though it went downhill...FAST. The first thing I'm going to address is the fact that three times now employees have stood at their kiosk but refused to help the long line of predominantly white customers until the WOC get up to the register that's open. THEN they open up for the one person behind us and are friendly and chatty with the white customers all while barely acknowledging the presence of paying customers of color. The second thing is their inconsistent and choosy pricing. Two weeks ago I bought a bunch of black lilies. When ringing them up they counted the stems in the bunch and when I asked why, I was told "it's to make sure there's 10 in the bunch since this is sold as a bunch." Okay, not a problem! Then when I got in the car I looked at the invoice and I was charged $4 per stem, instead of as a bunch. When I called to ask why I was informed that "those flowers are sold by the stem and priced as such. They aren't sold in a bunch." Uhm, okay but that's not what I was told when I was paying. Also note that they typically have you check-out, get an invoice and then walk across the way to pay at the cashiers office. Today we were told that we could pay where we were checking out. Then the woman who told us that (who works in accounts receivable and was honestly the nicest person we encountered), went back to her office and gave us to Tia. Tia was the one who lied about the bunch of lilies being sold as a bunch previously. Today, when she took over, she told us to go pay at the cashier. We asked why when the other woman told us to pay there. Immediately she got hostile and irritable with us over questioning that, and responded with, "fine, whatever, you can pay here." Then she offered to wrap our vases, and decided after the payment interaction, that she couldn't be bothered to do her job. So I asked her if she could wrap them like she said she would. She also didn't like that and haphazardly wrapped them. We asked another clerk to come over and finish wrapping our items up so we could leave. That secondary employee came outside and apologized for us having a less than stellar experience and we gave him the full run down of what's taken place AND HIS ACTUAL RESPONSE TO US WAS "well I'm a manager and there's nothing I can really do." So, don't waste your money if you're just an individual shopper. read more

Came to this cute wholesale plant store on a Sunday. Hours are short from 12pm-2pm. Be ready to grab what speaks to you! It felt very therapeutic to be roaming around this store with such helpful staff members. I will definitely be back for more! I can't wait to tell friends about this place. read more

The staff, even though they were in the middle of restocking for a season change, were friendly and knowledgeable. I heard about how amazing this place was on TikTok, and had to check it out myself. Getting there I was a little surprised there wasn't more of a selection of live plants available, and I was disappointed at the prices! $60 for a mature snake plant, $80 for a mature-ish fiddle leaf fig tree? I can spend half that at Costco, Lowe's, or HomeDepot. You can also buy little baby versions of the plants, but even those felt expensive for what they are. I did buy a cute unicorn planter, and was totally happy with the price of that. read more

I ordered fresh flowers for our wedding 2 months in advance. Very specific flowers. Half of the order was correct, but was told they didn't have the others as they got in whatever the grower sent (which doesn't make sense). Nothing close to what I ordered. This was the day before our wedding, there was no other option than to choose something else. We paid in advance and should have received a call rather than a last minute surprise. Having to choose a different main flower threw the whole look off. We were very upset and didn't need the extra stress. They did however give us a extra dozen of the correct roses for free which we did use, but would have rather had the right ones. They should let people know beforehand they may not get the flowers they paid for. Also, the lady at the cashier window was rude both times I was there. Terrible service, so rude and inconsiderate of shoppers. This is probably the only review I've ever felt like I needed to write. Every time I call them the sales associates are so rude and won't answer a single question normally.. the guy - pablo- I just spoke to on the phone literally sighed out loud into the phone with the first couple words I said to him. He didn't even answer my question. This isn't the first time, I've had this happen over and over. I'm not the type of person to want to chat for long and normally don't ask too many questions so coming from me this is big. I'm so disappointed that local flower lovers can be this rude and inconsiderate of others, I don't even know how to put it into the correct words. They ruined my wedding bouquets! I ordered all my wedding flowers through my florist, who uses this service. All the flowers she ordered for me did come in, including the ones in my specific wedding colors, and ones that would be the focal point of my bridal bouquet, however when she went to pick them up, someone had apparently taken all my special order flowers and sold them to someone else. Luckily, my florist and friends found enough of the colors I wanted at the supermarkets to save the table settings and bouquets. It is incredibly unprofessional to take flowers from a private order and sell them out, especially from something as important as a wedding; I would not recommend this service unless you are a very big store. read more
