We has Washington Street Cafe cater our wedding. They were very easy to work with. They made it so easy to get everything together, (and we booked them pretty last minute) but they were very responsive and helped us make sure everything went smoothly. The food was excellent! We had the Southern Style Barbecue and everything was so tasty and fresh. I cannot recommend them enough to anyone looking for a stress free dining experience for their wedding!! read more

This review is based on the catering services only (first hand experience). We ordered catering from Washington Street Catering very recently. The trays of delicious food were delivered promptly in time for our noontime workshop luncheon, complete with napkins, utensils, and plates. We had gourmet wraps and sandwiches on baguettes with ham & cheese, turkey, roast beef, tuna salad, chicken salad, and veggie style, plus pasta salad and tomatoes & buffalo mozzarella, and potato chips. For dessert, the trays of brownies, cookies, and fruit bars were very enjoyable. The staff and our clients loved the food! If we have another luncheon, we would order from Washington Street Catering again. read more

WSC catered my husband's office Christmas party at our home in Concord. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We had heavy appetizers: petite beef and chicken kabobs, pulled chicken sliders, stuffed mushrooms, stuffed grape leaves, fresh fruit kabobs, tabouleh salad, humus, pita chips and crudites, and baklava. Everything was fresh and delicious and the presentation was lovely. Our guests raved about the food and asked who did the catering. I think WSC will get some more business! We will definitely use them next Christmas and for any other catering needs. read more

Definitely a hidden gem in Concord ,although it's a bit off the beaten path it's a must stop for deli sandwiches and salads. Their Cuban Panini is one of the best in the Concord area. we scheduled a cookout at the local Community Center through the Washington st caterers and it was awesome they showed up 15-20 early for set up and used the space we had prepared for them they were professional, polite and conscientious and the food was excellent ! the cookout food was all cooked for the agreed start time of noon and there were no complaints about any of the food or service the weather was 91 and it was the first day of a heat wave here in NH we would recommend this business to anyone interested in catering an event thank you again for contributing to this successful gathering and enjoyable afternoon read more

We contacted the restaurant for catering a small get-together after a memorial service. The staff was extremely helpful and caring. I was given helpful advice on my suggested menu. We picked up the food a day before the event. Everything was carefully arranged and packaged. The food was absolutely great. A hidden gem in Concord! This small lunch cafe has recently expanded its hours to offer dinner. They have added socially distanced outdoor seating, and have recently received their liquor license. As much as I like this place and will continue to practically eat there everyday, this morning's interaction was a little perturbing. I ordered the "Hearty Breakfast" for $3.25. The sign says it includes two eggs with homefries AND toast. However, when they nicely brought my breakfast out to me, there was a bunch of homefries but no toast. I figured that perhaps the toast was just getting finished and it would be out shortly, but it never came. I know, I know, toast is toast and I probably should've just left it alone, but I didn't want to come on here and talk about how they just didn't give me toast if I didn't even have the courage to ask about it myself. So that's just what I did, as I was on my way out I asked "Wasn't there supposed to be toast along with my breakfast?" And, the girl behind the counter said "Not all the time." So, perhaps I'm just quibbling about toast, but come on. If you have it on the sign, doesn't that mean it comes with the meal? And, if it doesn't, then why not put the word OR instead of AND. It can't be an arbitrary thing. But, in other news, the homefries are actually quite good. read more

We spent several months coordinating with Washington Street Cafe Catering for our wedding date. We go so far as to send them our deposit check in the mail (as paying by card is an additional fee) and the day before they received our check they booked someone else on our date. We informed them we had sent the check in the mail and requested a contract be signed but they do not use contracts for booking (another red flag). We asked why they wouldn't have given us priority given the number of times they assured us they were available on our date and the length of time we had been coordinating with them and they simply said business is first come first serve. Of course they have every legal right to book whomever they choose until a deposit is secured but nonetheless we felt that this was a discourtesy to us. We were extremely disappointed by Washington Street Cafe's lack of professional courtesy. read more

Washington St Cafe, Garrett and their catering team and John and Marie, I cannot thank you enough. The food and service they provided at our wedding on Halloween this past weekend was the best ever. They were kind, attentive, and accommodating when the timing shifted around through out the day as is bound to happen when you plan a wedding on a full moon. Their servers and Garrett were so polite, they made sure there was food from the cocktail hour waiting for my husband and I since we missed it due to pictures. We also had to kind of stage our cake cutting early so the photographers could get it and they jumped into help even though they were already bussing tables and cleaning their line. Instead of a tasting prior to the event our wedding party and my husband and I ordered one of each dinner platter off the regular menu and it was absolutely delicious. Garret and Kirsty did an awesome job organizing and serving the taco bar lunch and the backyard BBQ dinner. Marie was great to work with and was super helpful and flexible in planning the menu. The place has so much potential, but can't live up to it. The menu is good. The food is good. However, portions are tiny and the price for a small portion doesn't match up. For example, I got the Mazza platter, which includes two small pieces of falafel, one scoop of hummus, a small amount of tabouli, and a few pita chips for $8.18. It's just not enough food for the price! And, the menu says pita, not pita chips. Go next door to Amanda at the law school and get food for half the price and twice as large of a portion. My story tells you everything you need to know about this place. Perfect example of "do as I say not as I do" I went into this restaurant and had a mask in my hands and was ready to put it on and was summarily reminded that I had to have the mask on when I entered the store....fine. I get that. But when I told the woman I did not think it was fair that the owner of the place could walk freely about the place with no mask whatsoever, I was yelled at by the woman that "He owns the place, he can do whatever he wants", etc and that I could eat somewhere else. How little respect does this owner have for his employees? How do they continue to work for this guy? AND feel the need to defend him. These people on the front line have been dealing with 15 months of sacrificing and risk and this jabroney gets to walk around like that? Food was decent. I first experienced the BBQ catering of Washington St. Cafe two years ago at a friend's outdoor wedding. I loved their food. So when my daughter wanted to do an outdoor beach wedding and we were looking for great informal fare (burgers, hot dogs, chicken, veggie burgers, sides, cookies & brownies) at an affordable price, I went with them. Their staff was ultra professional from the office staff who took the booking and communicated details to me, to the staff members who they sent to cook and serve the food at the reception. They arrived with plenty of time to spare (and were flexible when we were running late) and were so helpful and accommodating. They made excellent decisions that were for the best of my guests--and without pestering me about every detail. The food was delicious--my guests loved it!!! read more
