I have one eternity band that lost a stone, one bezel ring needed to be downsized and another bezel ring needed to have the stone replaced (due to poor quality). I drove over and got confused thinking this place was in the jewelry mart that I once visited prior. I noted that the jewelry mart was dark without any open signs or people walking inside. I called the Yelp number to ask if they were still open since it stated they were open until 6pm. A nice gentleman answered to phone and told me where they were located. Come on in, we are still open. As I approached the store, I saw two armed guards in front, and an empty queue line outside. The guard opened the door, I walked in and was welcomed by approximately 10 people to my left. It was slightly startling at first/like a car salesman place but it was less intimidating. I walked to Sean who greeted me and asked me to meet him at the counter behind me. I glanced around and noticed ICE, ICE baby everywhere. So much bling, I would have benefited from shades for sure. Sean came over quickly, introduced himself and got details of what brought me in today. We discussed each repair, resizing and stone reset or replacement request. He wasn't too sure about the elongated, bezel stone swap out. He said it may be pretty expensive and not sure if I would like to proceed. He asked why I wanted to replace it and I told him the quality of the stone was poor so I got a replacement. He gave me on the spot pricing for the repair and resizing. He offered to try something first for my swap request... he took the ring back and cleaned it up thinking it may have just needed a freshen up. Unfortunately, he agreed the stone quality was not as good. He then offered to get a second opinion about the swap out. A few minutes later, he and owner Gabe came out. Gabe gave me a quote for $400. He read my face and offered $100 less for the service. I agreed to the updated pricing and was happy. I agreed to the price to get all three items worked on. He informed me if I came in 2 hours early, I could have brought all 3 home with me same day. I was surprised and asked for details. Apparently, they have multiple repair folks, stone setters and watch workers in back. You can see all the staff members working in back with live camera feeds. I even saw a lady recording her stone setting process. I found this to be a very cool experience even though I didn't get to see it done on my own ring. Sean documented all the work for each item and placed it in their respective envelopes, I paid and off I went. ETA for completion next day or the following day latest. He gave me a heads up about the completion notification will come digitally when each item is ready. I can choose to wait for all three to be done before pick up. I greatly appreciated Sean's patient, inquisitive attitude concerning my swap out stone and attention to detail when it came to documenting item specifics. So far, a great experience with them! If you're looking for jewelry repair or looking for a new piece of bling, please stop in! Will provide an update when I get my rings back :)

It came with an appraisal stating a value of $14,000. Shortly after, I returned to have the ring resized and was told they also buy gold and jewelry. I brought in additional items and was given store credit. Later, I returned to use the remaining credit and was told by the owner that I had no credit left and would have to pay again. There was no clear record provided, no transparency, and no effort to resolve the discrepancy. I was essentially told the credit didn't exist anymore, and I had no documentation to challenge it at the time. In 2026, I scheduled an appointment to sell the same ring back to them. I clearly stated on the phone that I was bringing in a ring originally purchased from their store. When I arrived, they inspected it along with the appraisal, then told me they were not buying diamonds due to market conditions and lab-grown diamonds affecting resale value. This should have been communicated when I made the appointment. Instead, I wasted time going in for a meeting that should never have been scheduled. Overall, my experience with this business has been inconsistent, poorly communicated, and unprofessional. While they do carry attractive jewelry, I personally do not trust their business practices or transparency.

I was having difficulty getting the diamond and ring design I wanted for the price we were willing to pay. After being disappointed by several jewelers who gave us realistic expectations, I shared with my co-worker our troubles. He referred us to Prim Jewelers. After we met with them, we were ecstatic. They were going to give us what I wanted at an affordable price. Now I know why: I've wanted to trade-in my engagement ring for a new diamond and setting. I started researching how much we could get for it and discovered that my diamond is EGL INTERNATIONAL certified. As you may know, the lab has received criticism for diamond over grading and shut down in 2014 to save their reputation. Our "F" color "VS2" clarity diamond is, in reality, an "H" color "SI2/3" at best under GIA standards. We totally overpaid Prim Jewelers for an inferior product. As one reputable jeweler stated, "EGL certificates originating from Israel, Europe, or elsewhere other than New York and Los Angeles are for all intents and purposes fraudulent." I tried to verify the diamond certificate online recently. Maybe it's because they're out of business, but the certificate number could not be found. I will probably get next to nothing for this diamond and need to pay full price for a quality GIA-certified engagement ring. Thankfully my husband and I are in a better place financially to do so. Hard lesson learned. Prim Jewelers should be ashamed of this practice.

We were excited because we believed we were buying a real diamond engagement ring and gold wedding bands. Sledge told us it was a diamond, and it was also written on our receipt. I wore that ring every day, took our engagement photos with it, and made so many special memories leading up to our wedding. A few days before our wedding, we went back to have our rings cleaned since Sledge had told us he offered free cleanings. I even brought our receipt just in case he needed proof that we had purchased the rings there. He looked at my ring and commented that it was really dirty. Then he suddenly said, "This isn't a diamond." My husband and I actually laughed at first because we thought he was joking. We knew what we had paid for, and our receipt clearly stated it was a diamond. But then he tested it with a diamond tester again and repeated that it was not a diamond, it was cubic zirconia. We were completely shocked. We had paid over $1,000 for what we believed was a diamond ring, only to be told it was actually a stone worth a fraction of that. To make matters worse, this happened just days before our wedding. When he looked at our receipt, he admitted that he had sold us a diamond. Yet instead of taking responsibility or offering a solution, he suggested that someone must have removed the stone from my ring and replaced it without me noticing. He even suggested it could have been a housekeeper. I'm 22 years old. At the time, I lived alone and absolutely did not have a housekeeper. My ring was dirty because I never took it off. The suggestion that someone secretly swapped the stone was honestly insulting. To this day, I don't know whether we were scammed or whether a mistake was made somewhere along the way. What I do know is that we left feeling devastated, confused, and without any real resolution. My husband and I were just starting our lives together, and spending over $1,000 was a huge investment for us. We chose to shop small because we wanted to support a local business, but this experience left us heartbroken. I'm sharing this not out of spite, but because I think others deserve to know what happened to us. If you purchase jewelry here, I strongly recommend having it independently verified as soon as possible. I truly hope no one else has to experience what we did.
