I needed to replace a spring thing to keep my band attached to my watch. He repaired it within minutes and charged only $5. He shared that he mostly does battery repair and not in- depth watch repair, but for a battery replacement, this is the place to go. read more

The shop is located inside another jewelry shop but there's a small sidewalk sign in front of the front door to let you know you're in the right place for Watchland. So follow your map apps and you'll find it inside. This was the best battery replacement experience I've ever had. First, it was the cheapest battery replacement I've ever seen. Second, the watchman was friendly and spoke to me the entire time he was working on my watches. Third, he finished both of my watches in about 5 minutes. As if all that wasn't enough, he offered me a bag for my watches and gave me a stamp card for future visits. This place will be my go to for my battery needs from now on. I have too many watches of my own already but if I didn't, he also has quite a number of nice watches on display at fairly inexpensive cost. I had the best watch battery experience here. I dropped in on a Saturday afternoon. I was planning to go to a different watch shop but saw the large banner outside. The gentleman was polite and very quick. The bonus was the price; less than $10. I own a lot of watches. Several of them are battery powered. I usually pay $15-$20 per battery change. This is the place for BATTERY REPLACEMENT for all your watch for the same price $7.95 +tax - Jack was pleasant. He changed batteries for 2 of my watches. Jack went out of his way fixed my watch chain with NO additional fee or a lecture about time is money as an excuse to charge me for more money. I was ecstatic when Jack went out of his way figuring a way to extend my watch chains (that I don't have) with different scrap parts that he has to accomplish my purpose of coming to his shop. Greatly appreciated his work. FYI: I was quoted a much higher price to change battery on my tiny watch from the other cranky watch guy in Tustin who kept lecturing about the different battery size ... and time is money and that he would spent 5 minutes extra on the tiny watch therefore the extra fees imposed. read more

Great find and great value. Got the battery replaced on one of my wife's watches. They did it in under 5 minutes and the price was very good. They also have a rewards program. They give you a business card that they stamp each time you get a battery change. After the 6tth stamp, your 7th battery change is free. I walked into the Village at Orange with a pristine new watch. I walked out with a broken watch: the 'house' around the clip which holds down the battery is bent on one side. All I wanted was my battery changed. I couldn't change it myself because the battery is held in position with a clip. And you need to "push the point of a very small bladed screwdriver, or a pin, into the hole at the clip's base to release it". I looked at the watch myself before coming to Watchland, with a jewelry loupe. Lawd, Lawd. I knew it was too easy. I knew he was too polite. (Sad commentary, I know.) Very reasonable price. At first, I walked out happily with all my purchases, but once I arrived at another destination I thought, Wait. Let me check. These days, living under US Tyranny, nearly every little thing is cause for distrust. Checking out a library book. Visiting a 'Genius" at Apple at Brea Mall. Using a restroom at MacDonald's. Ugh! I called him back and said Did you remove the bar that holds down the battery on my watch? He said "yes, 'we' don't need that". "We". I said, I want my part back. He said "I have it here". With the supervision of Village of Orange security officers Stephen and George, in case he should change his mind, I retrieved my part - in my watch - with the delicate housing bent. I liked that watch! Oh, and he never apologized. Because he didn't care. Update a few days later: The crown - that you wind up a watch with, has fallen off. This is a First for me. Benn going here for years for watch batteries. Less recently as I stopped wearing a watch in favor of my smart phone, however, I recently needed a watch so pulled out an old one from my drawer - which of course was dead. Luckily, and unlike a lot of other retailers at the Village Mall, Watchland is still there and able to get my watches working with no trouble at all. They even set the time on them. You would think that's expected, but now a days, you take whatever extra service you can get. I have questioned the quality of their batteries in the past as a couple times I felt like the battery died quicker than it should have. But that's a minor concern and overall, I've had good luck with them. read more

My 5th or 6th time here... the owner of this mall kiosk has true mastery over his craft, and his prices are affordable. I once took an ecodrive watch that was accidently stored in a drawer, which lead to the primary battery becoming empty and seemingly unchargeable. He turned away my business, told me to put it under a desk lamp for two days and call if I had any questions. Voila! It worked! can you believe it? An honest business in this day and age.... I have been having watch batteries replaced by Jack for many years, but had lost track of him after he left his Village of Orange location. Luckily someone I know tipped me off about his new location, because I had several watches needing new batteries. While there my husband mentioned his watch had a scratched crystal and Jack replaced it at a reasonable cost ($25 as I recall). We also noticed he replaces batteries in auto key fobs and had him replace two for us that had started acting intermittent. One stop shopping and reasonable prices.
