This is a great location in the midst of the densely developed area that is 'The Metropolitan'. I had to been in the area for another appointment so I stopped in for a Cortado. They seemed to have all the expected options. It's a small shop and I suspect they cater to the locals in the area as parking here is a terrific challenge. read more

Bad coffee, super expensive, bad service, odd employees. Place really has gone down hill

So I personally did not like my coffee but I'm not gonna blame the establishment because they had really good ratings and reviews so I can imagine their drinks are actually really good. First off, their establishment is so cute and cozy. I loved the different options they had. They had Vietnamese coffee and Thai tea which I desperately wanted one of those but I committed to strict keto this month so I couldn't have the sugar. I decided to get a cold brew with heavy cream and sf hazelnut syrup which is typically what I try to get anywhere I go. I think depending on what brand of sugar free syrups a business uses, determines if it taste good or not. It's always a hit or miss. This particular one wasn't sweet and made it bitter. Although I didn't like it, I still drank it. I will definitely try again when I can have sugar and try to Thai tea or Vietnamese coffee cuz that is one of my favorite! They are in the metropolitan area so please go if you haven't tried them yet. read more

Another Waterbean location I frequent and love! The menu offers a variety of hot and cold coffee drinks and pastries. I ordered an Americano, and it was delicious. It's centrally located, and the ambience is always great. Baristas are friendly and professional. There is free parking, but it gets packed as it's shared with other businesses. This spot is perfect for grabbing a coffee or tea and getting some work done. It was quiet on a Wednesday afternoon which surprised me in a great way! Many people were in and out grabbing coffee to go but there were plenty of tables and seating indoors. I had the matcha latte which was fantastic. Parking is easy since there is a large public garage attached to the building. The staff were friendly and the cafe was very clean. The Thai tea tastes like milk with a splash of tea. When I asked if they could add more tea, the man behind the counter was rude and only added another splash of tea. I get Thai tea all the time at home in California and they are much more flavorful than this. read more

I know I just left a review 2 weeks ago, but had to make an update right away. I visited on New Years Day with my husband, and again brought our laptops to work from. This time, I had ordered an Iced White Chocolate Latte & my husband ordered a peppermint hot chocolate. Let me tell you...the Iced White Chocolate Latte blew my mind. Waterbean is located in the Metropolitan shopping center and there is free 30 minute parking out front or you can hunt for a space in the parking deck. Inside, reasonably spaced tables and social distancing at the counter where I ordered an easy double espresso. They had four espresso coffees to choose from. Not quite overwhelming, but it was helpful that the young lady who took my order was able to make a recommendation. My coffee was ready a few moments later and it was perfect. Hot, rich, very dark. Very well caffeinated, which was appreciated. I sat for a bit, enjoyed it and their free wifi, and then moved on. Good stuff! i've been here multiple times and it's always great service and yummy drinks HOWEVER the man who was working today 9/4 with the mustache was extremely rude and dismissive. i asked for a pumpkin spice chai, it was DISGUSTING (see picture below) and when i asked if i could get a new drink or refund i was told "Well i made what you asked for, there's nothing i can do." I think it you are looking for a reliable cup of coffee I would come here. They do have a lot of flavor options. My friend got the gluten free muffin and really liked that as well. I was disappointed with the fact that the staff moved slower than molasses, no one even came to the counter to say one moment, and they didn't have an organized way of letting people know who's drink was next. I've gotten a cappuccino and a latte from here and they were both pretty acidic tasting for my liking. They have a great interior and it seems like a great place to work/study. They do have coffee/espresso flights which would be a fun thing to try! Unpleasant first experience -- Ordered: a plain bagel with lox and capers; and an everything bagel with lox, hold the capers. Received: plain bagel, no capers and NO LOX; everything bagel with capers and NO LOX I walked all the way back home only to realize this order was a mess. I returned to inquire about this order and to request a full refund. I was told the person who made this was from another location. They don't make lox bagels at other locations? Kiersten at the register said only the owner has the passcode to do refunds but she will call today to rectify this situation. I'll update my review upon the successful completion of my refund. Lesson: check your order at all locations, especially if you ordered the lox as I'm not sure which location the person who did not include lox normally works. read more

Came here on a rainy afternoon for an oat milk cappuccino to do some work. The cappuccino was a little bitter for my taste. I found a cozy corner near an outlet easily and stayed for an hour or so. The ambience is so cute! It looks like they got new chairs and I love all the plants. Cute coffee shop in the metropolitan! I love how calming it feels inside with art pieces that appear to be very intentional with the vibe - music that accompanies the softness of the atmosphere. I'm so glad there's a coffee shop in the midtown shopping center! I met a colleague here for a meeting at 9am. I was pleasantly surprised to find easy parking in the deck as it's sometimes a challenge with the Trader Joe's being so close by. Great spot to get away from a coffee crowd and go for your standard selection of coffees and methods! And they have my favorite coffee drink, The Volcano (explained below). Their coffee is USDA certified organic. Their signature drink is The Volcano and it's out of this world good -- my favorite thing on their menu; it's made condensed milk that represents the earth's core, cayenne pepper the magma, espresso the rock/crust, foam the steam, cocoa powder the ash, the sugar brûlée the lava. I also like their hot Vietnamese coffee, the flavor is really bold but smooth, but it's small in size. The rest of their drinks are pretty standard and ordinary -- they don't really do seasonal specialties. They do have some baked goods, which are good for a snack. They sell tea, coffee, and cups/mugs in the store. The atmosphere is clean and crisp. This particular location doesn't seem to get super swamped, so there's always seating. The staff is nice but aren't as attentive as I'd wish they'd be. However, my coffee is always made superb! read more

The syrup was thick and settled at the bottom and took quite a bit of effort to mix. Once we got it mixed up we agreed they tasted like weird cereal milk.
