Cold in the middle Panini with gummy, low quality American cheese (not cheddar BTW). Nasty metallic tasting asparagus quiche with not a hint of asparagus taste. Warm, not hot, latte made by a cold barista. No smile, no gratitude, no humanness to the experience. My order could have been made by robots. Heck, with robots, I might have at least had hot food and beverages. Won't be back. This is my 4th, similar experience here. There are plenty of other options close to the ferry terminal. read more

I really enjoy spending my mornings here. The cafe is cute with a seaside theme, their sizes are named after shellfish! The barista is sweet and has a sincere smile as we talk about our week and joke. I particularly love this cafe because their lattes are amazing and my americano is never bitter. The barista knows her coffee. They have great pastries, paninis and my favorite Locally made Ice Cream! (Try the Affogato) they even have tiny cones called Papos. There are cookies in cute ways like animal shapes for the kids. They have a great selection of gluten free/vegetarian and organic options also.. great coffee, great place. read more

Cute little place if you are looking to stop for an afternoon pick-me-up. It is also very close to the Edmonds Ferry Landing, so a good place to keep in mind if you are looking for a place to stop while waiting for a ferry. The have coffee, yogurt, granola, some pastries and more importantly ice cream. When I was there, they featured 6 flavors of local ice cream. I tried the maple walnut and chocolate brownie flavors, which tasted great. The staff was friendly and although the space is small, there are a couple of tables and armchairs if you want to sit and enjoy a treat in their space. read more

The service was dismal. My kids wanted an ice cream float and the person waiting on us said flat out no. They had items to make espresso and Italian sodas how hard would it be to suggest adding a scoop of ice cream to a vanilla soda? I got one of their cold brew floats and the nitro brew float was so expensive $6.00 and so not coffee flavored. I asked if she could make it stronger and she flat out said no again.She could have offered to give me a shot of espresso or more nitro as she could tell I was not satisfied but she claimed that was the way the cold brew was made. Someone here needs to teach her some retail service etiquette. read more

Did not try their coffee. I got two small ice cream cones one for me and one for my wife on a sugar cone. The portions were very small for the price. One scoop was 4.00 and was about 2 inches in diameter. The staff was two girls who were edgy with each other and made for an awkward atmosphere. I knew I should have followed my gut and walked up the street to Starbucks. Ordered a Mexican mocha, a 16 oz latte and a 12 oz mocha. They don't take your name down, so pray no one else orders a latte and swipes your drink. The rude barista called "two lattes!" And when we said one is a mocha, she replied "well, which one is it? The only difference is chocolate anyways." She then proceeded to grab a spoon out of their sink, add a squirt of chocolate and put in on the counter without saying a word. This is probably my favorite coffee shop. The drip coffee here is phenomenal, and the best I've ever had. Yes folks it is better than Starbucks. The manager, is super friendly, always smiling, and says good morning to me. The blonde assistant manager, is always a friendly face, and makes my coffee for me, just the way I like it. She remembers me, and my coffee, which is nice because, sometimes I forget what I drink. read more

Went in here last Saturday with a coupon from living social. I don't think the employees working behind the counter could have been more rude and pretentious if they tried. Felt VERY unwelcome, like the fact that my friend and I were there was an inconvenience. Sad because I have never had a bad experience using one of these groupon type items and this was the first time I have. The only positive was that the food was pretty good. Cute little place right by the ferry! Limited and intimate seating. Some small tables outside for when weather is nice. They've got a good selection of teas, average selection of coffees, sandwiches and pastries. And they also have some ice cream! They have 4 options of cones including these adorable tiny "Papos" for $0.99. It's a quiet little cafe (until the people off the ferry come in), and prices are pretty average. We got an Iced Ginger Peach Black Tea, Mexican Mocha, and a cinnamon roll warmed up - which was deeeelishh! It has oats in it and is good sized as well! I would totally buy it again but I got the last one! My boyfriend did not enjoy his Mexican Mocha. Said it was overpowered with dark chocolate and was very bitter. On the other hand I enjoyed my Ginger Peach Black Tea! I asked for some extra peach syrup and it wasn't sweet enough for my taste, so I ended up asking for some extra syrup and ice and it was much better :) I would give this place 5 stars if my boyfriend had liked the Mexican Mocha. We had to wait a good 15 minutes for the ferry rush to die out to order our little papos! They are SO cute. It's all snoqualmie ice cream. We got vanilla bean and salted caramel. While eating their breakfast burrito I had to consider the starving children in Africa, so I wouldn't go in to get my money back. $7.00 for a pre packaged, frozen, then microwaved breakfast burrito. They don't tell you that you're paying for a sad 4.5 inch long vegetarian POWDERED egg burrito, but they will gladly take as much of your money as they can. Do not get the breakfast burrito. Go to McDonald's and save a few bucks. read more

Ever since Waterfront recently switched owners, the coffee aspect of this place is seriously lacking. Some of the staff is the same, but quite often the newer folks don't seem to understand how to take coffee orders. It's been a few months, and simple espresso orders often seem to baffle the cashier. It's a fine place for taking the kids to get ice-cream cones before boarding the ferry, but for a friendly cafe for a quality almond latte and scone, I'd suggest walking a few blocks to Walnut or Red Twig. read more

Wish I could give a better review but I'm feeling frustrated. They charge $7.00 for a cheese sandwich which although is high, it's fine. On the menu board I know what it cost when I ordered it. But then to charge for a cup of water to go with that is crazy. Bad business. Last week I ordered a coffee and a good looking guy comes in gets water with lots of ice for no+ charge. It's been quite awhile since I've ventured into Edmonds just to explore. Today was the perfect day . After a fun ferry boat ride with 2 small kids I thought it would be fun to get some ice cream for them and coffee for me. As we stepped into the shop the staff was friendly and I loved the atmosphere. They offered a pumpkin spice latte with homemade pumpkin whip. I normally don't get whip, but I had to try it out. Hands down the best pumpkin spice I've ever had (and I've tried so many different shops!). I was sure to rave to the staff as I wanted them to know they are certainly doing something right. My favorite coffee shop!! The coffee is flavorful and hot, and the pastries are pretty good too; not too sugar loaded. The staff is very friendly, and there's a really positive vibe sitting inside and having a cup of coffee by the window, especially on a rainy or cold day. They tend to stay open a little later than many of the other cafes in the area, which somehow stay in business with only banking hours. My hubs and frequent this place. Always impressed with their espresso drinks (Cafe Vita = YUM) and I love their mini cones. We pop in for a drink or cone and then walk around the beachfront. I have to say, I am surprised at all the negative reviews as we have never had a negative experience (and we are pretty about good service). I will say that their pastry case could use a sprucing up but we go for the coffee, not the pastries. I love the regular double latte and my husband LOVES the dirty chai. read more
