We had an excellent dinner @ Waterscapes this evening. We are staying at the Marina Inn. Our first night we wanted to stay in, this was a wonderful choose. The Char Fish was excellent. The bread arrived with a Madison jar filled with; goat cheese, olive oil, some rosemary and roasted tomatoes, I really enjoyed it. The Crab Cake was also delicious. I didn't care for Bloody Mary's but I was told the shrimp cocktail with Bloody Mary sauce was very good. It was a wonderful dinner and highly recommend for anyone staying in the Marina Inn or just visiting Myrtle and looking for a great dinner evening out.

Complimentary bread with that amazing spread!

We came to Waterscapes for a nice dinner out for our friends 30th birthday. We wanted nice and fancy, and that is exactly what we got. Located inside the grande dunes marina inn, is this tasteful restaurant with a wide range of delicious meals. Most of the meals on the menu offered were seafood. However, this is was the marina inn, so I didn't expect anything less. We sat down and received complimentary bread, with the best spread! It was olive oil, goat cheese (YUM!), sundries tomatoes, fresh rosemary and fresh thyme. It was so good, I want to try to create it at home myself. I ordered the seared salmon for dinner. It was absolutely amazing. I finished my entire plate which I normally don't do when we go out to eat. The salmon was cooked perfectly and laid on a bed of wilted kale and a pile of green lentils. I can't talk more highly of this dish. It was just that great. I'd go back just to eat it again. It is pricey in my opinion. My fiancé and I got the salmon dish, a chicken dish, and he also ordered one glass of wine. I skipped the alcohol that night, we did not get appetizers, nor dessert, and the bill came to $75 for the two of us, not including tip. But for a rare occasion and a nice place, I enjoyed myself a lot.

Pork, sitting on top of fingerling potatoes.

This place is why God gave us tastebuds! Visited in the off-season, so we were seated immediately. Shared a shrimp cocktail that was so good, with a very tangy cocktail sauce. I then had the pork entree with fingerling potatoes and arugula and it was everything I hope it would be! Fabulous flavor, tender to cut yet a little crispy on the outside. Hubs had the small filet, which was also tender and flavorful- no steak sauce needed! Splurged for dessert on the chocolate mouse cake and vanilla lavender creme brûlée. Both were perfect and a great end to a wonderful meal. Service was spot-on; Sharon was our waitress and she was very nice and attentive. Price-wise, entrees started from $22 and up. It was an expensive dinner, but overall one of the best meals I've ever had in MYB.

Celebrating a birthday, server Chris really knowledgeable about the wine. Confit duck nachos were amazing, salmon, scallops and filet mignon. Food was amazing. Service impeccable.

We had a wonderful meal at Waterscapes! The clams w/ pasta, and the pork chops were amazing. Apps and dessert were yummy, as well. I recommend this restaurant for it service and atmosphere.

Delicious burrata with tomatoes and parmesan crostini

We absolutely loved the food here. It's easy to miss, being in the basement of a hotel, but the food makes it worth seeking out. We had the burrata to start, the pasta with white clams, and the ribeye. The one thing that I didn't like about our meal was the roasted fingerlings that came with the ribeye. They were way overdone and we barely touched them. Besides that, everything was great and the service was fantastic! We took a stroll around the property afterward to try and work off some of our meal. If we make it back to Myrtle Beach one day, we will surely return to try some of their other dishes.

Narrow menu, but the food was great. Stephanie did a fabulous job taking care of our large group. A hidden gem.

We decided to sit at the bar. The server greeted us promptly, took our drink order, and gave us time to look over the menu. When she returned with our drinks, she explained the specials. My wife ordered the boneless rib roast (I believe that's what it was called) along with the asparagus soup. I ordered the deconstructed Wellington, cooked medium rare. When we arrived, there was only one other table, though a few more couples came in shortly after. I will say up front -- don't be in a hurry. They appear to cook one table at a time. Many of the entrées are served under a smoked dome, which I assume is for presentation. While it looked nice, it didn't add any flavor. My filet and the mushroom-stuffed puff pastry with demi-glace were served with the smoke, but the mashed potatoes and asparagus came on a separate plate. I didn't really understand this, as there was plenty of room to plate everything together. My wife's beef was served on top of her mashed potatoes in a bowl. The asparagus soup was ok needed some more seasoning for sure kind of bland wouldn't get it again. Once we started eating, my wife noticed her mashed potatoes weren't very hot. I checked mine and found that even in the center they were only warm. I asked the server for additional demi-glace since what I had was cold. While waiting, I cut into my steak. I first tried using the butter knife, which didn't work, and had to switch to the steak knife. The meat was cooked great and was tender, but slightly tougher than expected. When the demi-glace arrived, it was still not warm, so I asked for it to be heated again. The second time it came back steaming, which helped warm up both the potatoes. Overall, the food was good, but temperature was the main issue. I could understand this if multiple tables were being served at once, but we were sitting at the bar watching the kitchen, and only one table's food was being prepared at a time. There were two people cooking -- one handling apps and salads, and the other working on the main courses. Perhaps if they worked together, food could come out faster and hotter. That said, we will be back. The food itself was good, and several other dishes we saw going out to other tables looked very good as well. And the desserts sounded good. One star taken away because of the food temp. otherwise 5.

The owner stopped by our table multiple times. He and our waitress were so nice to our son, who I think was the only kid the in the restaurant. They explained how the food was made, making it overly clear how much care went in to everything they brought out. Their bruschetta bread and rolls are both made in house - and everyone loved them. I'm gluten free and they were able to accommodate with multiple multiple options. The menu had stars next to all the options they could make gluten free and it was SO NICE to have so many options. Even gf breaded chicken parm! I ended up trying the chicken fiorentina, which was excellent but am hopeful I can try the parm some day. Definitely go and meet them and have yourself a GREAT Italian dinner!!

Old school. Proper. The sort of spot where you mind your business and enjoy your meal, because whatever's going on across the room is none of your concern. They don't waste time getting you sorted either. Straight into it with a soup to start, name escapes me but I can still taste it clear as day. Silky, rich, proper comforting stuff. The kind that makes you stop mid sentence and give a little nod of approval. Then the homemade rolls arrive, warm, soft, and dangerously good. You tell yourself one and done, but let's be honest, that's never how it goes. For the entrée, I stayed loyal. Chicken Alfredo. My go to whenever I'm sizing up an Italian spot. And mate, this one delivered in full. Creamy without being over the top, seasoned just right, and put together like someone in the back takes real pride in what they're doing. No shortcuts, no funny business. The lady went for the trio, chicken, shrimp, veal, the full works. A confident order and she was well pleased, which tells you everything you need to know. Portion sizes? Exactly as they should be. Generous without being ridiculous. We gave it a proper go, waved the white flag halfway through, and still had a tidy bit left to take back to the condo. Arguably just as good the second time round. And then there's the service. Shoutout Sammi. Absolute star. Made a couple from Texas feel like regulars on their third visit. Attentive without hovering, sharp without being stiff. Just how it should be. Some places serve food. This place gives you a proper evening. Five stars. Locked in.
