I called ahead for recommendations for a 17 year old girls group for a birthday party. They didn't have a ski boat available but they told me the girls could tube behind a pontoon boat and a similar experience. Well that wasn't true. The pontoon boat was old, looked like something from the 1980s. It did good just to putter around the lake. We did a four hour rental and only had 30 minutes using the tube due to company forgetting the tube; delivered 45 minutes into the booking. But they forgot the life jackets. This took another 1.5 hours to get to us. And then they only brought 1. At this point we asked to change boat because of the whole lame situation. They said no because it would take too long. It was a horrible boat rental. Don't use this company. I paid $700 and didn't have fun. The girls were miserable. Worst Party rental ever!!!! read more

Great communication, easy to schedule, and great rental rates! Super convenient! I called to get an estimate on rental rates for jet ski's for my little brother and I for two hours the day before, and confirmed the morning of. They don't answer the first time typically, but immediately call you back and text you instructions on exactly how to get to the shore! On Saturdays/Sundays they typically keep the jet ski's out so you can confirm your time, arrive and you're ready to go! The jet ski's were in good condition, the rental paperwork was short and easy, and both gentleman were very friendly! This was a wonderful excursion on a beautiful summer day with my little brother, will definitely be renting again soon! For one jet ski for two hours was $160, with a credit deposit that is fully refundable. read more

This company was amazing! You arrange your reservation over the phone with Gabriel and then send a down payment electronically to hold your spot. He will tell you where to meet the boat on the day of your reservation and you bring the remaining payment in cash. We had James as our boat driver and it was a spectacular day!!! I treated my married son and his wife and other son and girlfriend to a four hour trip on the lake. We had SOO much fun! We all got to experience tubing and everyone but me tried the wakeboarding. James was an excellent coach who gave tips and tricks to help everyone be able to pull up out of the water and ski. We had contemplated renting from another company so that we could drive our own boat. I am SOO happy we didn't do that!! James was so much fun and regulated how hard and fast each person could go on the tube and then easily circled around to pick people up after they wiped out. We got there at the pre-arranged time - the pontoon was ready, clean and spacious. Okay, so where to begin. We had a bachelorette party in the middle of a pandemic and let me just tell you this was the best part of it all. We rented a pontoon with a driver and it was awesome. The owner gives you specific directions to make it easy to find. Mike, the driver, was prepared with a mask for covid precautions and was a great addition to our party. Boat had a speaker and mike allowed us to play all of our music, took us to great locations on the lake, and always checked in to make sure we were having a good time. We even added on an hour because we didn't want it to be over. So, if you're looking for something to do during this crazy time that is safe for a family/friend outing, rent from this company! Great service! Great rental rates! I had a blast this summer with all the toys and boats he had to offer. Getting out on the lake is very easy. I called James and told him what time I would be there. He had a boat and a driver waiting for me when I arrived. His staff help carry the cool of "food" to the boat so I didn't have to strain my back. Kind of mixed reviews about this experience. First off, James was VERY accommodating and understanding. If our experience was only based on James, I would give five stars. We ended up running 30 minutes late and he waited for us without reducing our time. We met him near a picnic table by the lake, which I though was kind of odd. Not sure if there is an actual physical location? Paid cash, which was what was specified on the phone. After taking the payment, we walked down to the boat and met our driver Josie. The boat was clean, well kept, and as pictured. We rented the large yellow pontoon. At first Josie was very reserved and quiet and was willing to take us around the lake wherever we wanted to go. He turned on the music and helped us pass out drinks. We drove around a bit, parked in the "party cove" and drove around some more. We then choose to return to the Party Cove and this is where things went a little south. Josie seemed to know the other boat drivers and once we parked the boat, he proceeded to go onto their boat and start having his own fun. Maybe we seemed really down to earth, maybe he thought we would be cool with him partying, in either case I felt this was somewhat inappropriate. Overall, I wouldn't even really think this was a big deal until he pressured us into paying an additional $70 to rent the boat for an additional hour. I know we were the ones that forked over the money but nevertheless I did not appreciate the pressure. Overall, if it wasn't for our driver's somewhat inappropriate behavior, I would give this company, the boat and experience 4 stars. Because of Josie, I am bringing down my rating to 3. read more

My experience with Flying and Floating Toys went very smoothly. I must say James is a very patient and understanding man. We booked our boat for 4 hours on Saturday, and we ended up being an hour late. He waited for us and was still very pleasant to us. We rented the pontoon, it was clean and looks just like the pictures. His prices are the most decent prices I got when calling around. The pricing for the driver is also a bargain, and worth the price, especially when drinking and boating. Our driver, Austin, was awesome! He was cool and laid back ... he allowed us to be very comfortable. He was so cool we tipped him! I will definitely rent with them again. read more

Outstanding experience! My wife and I wanted to give our four sons a great lake experience. I called around and decided to go with Flying and Floating Toys. I spoke with James, the owner, and booked an afternoon. What an incredible experience for my boys. James took us out himself. We asked him to give us a quick tour of the lake which he did. Make sure to do this. There are some unbelievable homes on the lake. We then began with the inner tube. Our kids absolutely loved it. Later, we went swimming for a while, did some water skiing and went back to tubing. We were on the lake for 6 hours and loved every second. I completely recommend James and Flying and Floating Toys. This was better than any day we have ever had at an amusement park and a much better value. You are the only customer and there are no lines. read more

James is a complete douchebag! We rented a jet ski for 2 hours from him and encountered a severe storm that day. We gave the boat back within one hour because of that. Yet he charged us for the two hours. He even insulted my girlfriend and to top it all off, he charged an extra $80 using my credit card without permission. That is stealing. I called and made a reservation for 2 jet skis on Labor Day. Everything was in order and James confirmed with me my reservation on Sunday (the day before) sending me details and directions so there will be confusion. When I was on my way to Lake Lewisville I just called just to let him know my buddy and I were on the way. He had informed me that he does not have any jet skis available. I replied, "Actually I have a reservation.." I continued to give my information so he would realize my information would be written down and seen as I had a reservation. But that did not matter because all he replied to me was that he had none available and that there were "extra" people that came that day. Now I chose this place because of the high rating on Yelp. And of course there are always that one or two bad reviews on a place of business but I really did not think they would just blow us off right before my reservation time! As a result my Labor Day weekend plans was gone and ruined. I do not know if this happens often but this def. left me with a bad experience. I would highly recommend another place like Just for Fun at Sneaky Petes. read more
