An elegant food hall with a great variety of food options, from Aburi Sushi, Jamaican Italian fusion (Rasta Pasta) to Turkish delights (Liu). They also have a couple of wine and cocktail bars too. Around the corner there is a lounge/bar area and during the Monday long weekend when I was there it was quite empty and great hang out spot to even get some work done. Service was quick and efficient and it was rather quiet, but it could've been because I went on a long weekend a while back so can't tell how a normal work week would've been like.

Nice food hall that has quite a variety of food options! Most were just opening or prepping when we walked in, so we didn't try any of the food, but from what I saw, they had Pub food, Japanese, Indian, Ice Cream, Desserts, Italian, and more. I like that it's an actual mix of food and not just the same type of food offering over and over again. We stopped at Waterworks Bar and had a few nicely crafted cocktails that we really enjoyed. Would definitely stop by here next time we're in Toronto to try the food!

Visually stunning food hall with a wide variety of dining options and a full bar. Excellent ramen at Musoshin and eggplant fries at Indian Street Food.

Waterworks food hall is a beautiful well designed space. There are a lot of great food options and bars to choose from so I feel like it can meet a lot of different tastes. I have to admit I did circle for sometime trying to decided, which isn't a bad thing but for someone who loves to eat, it becomes difficult to decide. I came here for a work social, so we had the East Annex Hall reserved for our group. There are a few private spaces like this which makes it a perfect option for socials. We were all given a gift card with money so I got the Drunken Noodles with beef from Soi Thaifoon and the Chili Fries from Harry's. As I mentioned there are so many options, from Mexican, Italian, Jamaican, Japanese....and so on! There are bars as well, coffee and dessert options. The main lower space has all the food options, there is a sizeable patio out front and also around the corner which was more of a courtyard. The upper space are private spaces and lower level is underground parking and the washrooms. It is a well thought out space! Service at the two places were great. Fast and friendly! Great experience and hopefully one day I can revisit!

This food hall is a repurposed space from the old Waterworks building. They haverenovated and repurposed it nicely. The interior looks nice, modern, stylish, clean, and air conditioned. There are artworks adorning the ceiling. There are a few different entrances to the food hall, and there are both indoor and outdoor patio seatings. It tends to get quite crowded and can be hard to find a seat, especially on weekends. The new location of Lee restaurant is connected to this food hall building. Although it has a nice ambience and interior design, the food selection is very typical. There doesn't seem to be anything unique (ramen, aburi sushi, burgers, pizza, tacos), except perhaps the stuffed naan (Pakistani fusion) that is somewhat unique.

My first time visiting the new Waterworks Food Hall and I regret not coming earlier! Love the space. They have plugs near a lot of the seats which make it a great spot to work (when it's not busy ofc - like maybe on a weekday!) A lot of variety in food - sushi, ramen, naan, vietnamese, coffee and turkish desserts! There's a super cute bar upstairs too. 10/10 recommend if you don't know where to eat.

After hearing about the Waterworks Food Hall, I wanted to check it out. Had an opportunity to explore this hall with a friend. The ambiance right off the bat was what drew us in! All the restaurants are centred in the middle of the hall and surrounding it, were different seating options. You can either order from the table through their QR code system or go order directly from them. I decided to try Karak-Stuffed Naan and Chai Cafe. After reading some reviews, I decided to try the Bihari Kabob stuffed Naan and their Kashmiri Chai. Added a Mint Coriander dip to my meal as well. At first I thought it would not fill me, but I was wrong. Very filling meal and heavy as well! I wouldn't say I was the biggest fan of the flavour as the meat to other ingredient ratio was in favour of the meat. It was spicy as well. The Kashmiri Chai was nice but if you have a sweet tooth, I would request more sugar packets! The ambiance was what makes the food hall shine! It is pricey, but if you want to try something new then I would check this place put!

I visited this place recently and was immediately drawn to the ceiling art, most of it was custom and really eye catching! The space itself is huge, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. There are a mix of high and low tables, and every table has a QR code for easy food ordering. It's a great spot for a date or even a casual hangout with friends. I went in the late evening, so unfortunately, some of the food vendors had already closed. I'm definitely planning to come back earlier next time to try more options. The variety here is great, there's pho, ramen, sushi, pizza, tacos, burgers and fries, drinks, beer, cocktails, coffee, ice cream and more. There's even a second floor that looked like an event space? or an additional bar, and looking at the map, more food vendors are on the way. After walking around a bit, I ended up at Tantxo * Steak Bar and got the Steak & Fries. The line was long, but the wait was worth it!! Their fries were crispy and well-seasoned, and the steak was juicy and fresh. When you're done eating, there's a self-service area where you can toss your trash and return your plates and bowls, kind of like a food court. It was also easy to navigate, and I appreciated that the washrooms were gender neutral with individual stalls for privacy. Definitely coming back with friends to check it out! :)

Pizzeria Popolo (pepperoni, mushroom and onions & a Margherita square slice, respectively) & Dave's Genuine Deli (Reuben sandwich)

Went to check out Waterworks Food Hall over the weekend, and here's what was sampled: A couple of square slices from Pizzeria Popolo - one Margherita and the other a pepperoni, onion and mushroom slice. Solid start! The aptly titled "Toronto's Favourite Reuben Sandwich" from Dave's Genuine Deli lives up to its name. Just a finger-licking, pick up & gobble the shaved meat bits falling from the sandwich, lip-smacking experience! ‍ Nestled on a huge bed of frites is currywurst from Otto's Berlin Döner, this combination of the sausage and sauce makes me want to nab the first flight to Berlin. Superb! And finally, I tried my first pabellon arepa from The Arepa Republic - a taste sensation of shredded flank steak, black beans, fried sweet plantain and white cheese - that make me want to come back and sample the rest of the menu! There are many tables and seating areas, along with countertop dining in front of the booths. Also, one can order from their table via a QR code on said table. We came by for lunch, and there was a lot of space and natural sunlight coming thru the hall that kept a relaxed atmosphere. The staff kept everything clean and tidy so no one has to wait very long for a space to eat!

I love the design of the space. For me, it is much more akin to the style of a New York food hall. Love the spherical art pieces suspended above. With the recent onslaught of food halls opening, most recently at The Well. There's a familiar names at waterworks . A definite variety of food available. However, I tried two spot that I hadn't had before. Karak stuffed naan and Chai. I ordered the Chicken Malai -Stuffed with Buttermilk Roasted Chicken Breast, Infused with Mild Aromatic Traditional Spices, and Flavoured Cream. It sounded more flavourful but it tasted one note. It's not bad but not something I would order again. The customer service here was fantastic !. The other spot SOI Thai food. I had the foon roll. Made with Fresh Mint, Lettuce, Carrots, Purple Cabbage and Spring Roll. Well, this was unusual. Every element was fresh and the spring roll itself perfectly crisp. It was the combination of these elements that did not work for me. I made it half way through one roll. I tried eating the elements separately.. The combination, for me, left an aftertaste hard to deter. The sauces helped to hide it a little. wanted to eat more for the ten bucks or so I paid but I couldn't. At least I tried . The other menu items like the classic pad Thai if I were hungrier I might have tried. One of the reasons this spot receives 2 is the washroom facilities. Oh dear. It is not a pleasant scent for a new space. It's a beautiful, universal washroom concept but the scent is off putting. You know that smell when you reuse a dirty mop? That scent. If you're wondering in terms of washroom facilities : Table was my fave, then the Well, chefs hall, queens crossing and union station I think it's still early with this space and there's room to grow. Design wise. It's probably my favourite but I wish some of the things that were at the others were in this one. I totally recommend trying this spot. Lots of seating options. I do wish there were more plate options for dining in instead of to go or thin paper on aluminum tray (you end up having soggy paper when using a knife and fork and having ripped wet bits on the aluminum tray spreading into your food...kinda gross) There's definitely many food favourites like Aburi Sushi, Scooped, Boxcar Social, Otto's Berlin Doner. There's also a bar in the middle .

    Karak stuffed naan
    Cin C.

A relatively new space that is a great gathering space for the neighborhood. The food hall has a wide range of restaurants to choose from, so everyone can find at least a dish they would like. Love the different seating spaces available to choose from also. We had the Bihari Kabob stuffed naan from Karak. It was a great choice as the naan is stuffed full of beef and smothered in garlic sauce. Prepared fresh and it was absolutely delicious. The revival of this old building is done really well with a good mix of old elements and new clean structures to support the new reincarnation of this building.

    Isabella L.

Great addition in the neighbourhood. The interior is modern and upscale. Waterworks offers a variety of food and drink options with ample seating. Many of the tables have plugs as well and I've seen people work from there.

I will say that it's a hip, nicely equipped restaurant. We decided to do an appie meal. We ordered Sichuan Chicken lettuce wraps ($25.50)..this was the best of the appies. The next was the Crab Dip ($20.75), it was hot but not overly tasty. 3rd was the Hot Chicken Bites with pickles ($16.00). They were ok but not hot in temp enough. The final was the Chili Citrus Calamari ($21.25). This was the worse of the dishes. Simply put, it was cold. The server removed this from our bill. In summary...I wouldn't go out of my way again to go here but given all things being equal, the servers were very good. As a final note...the bathroom was very clean & well maintained.

I've never had a restaurant server look at the type of pant I was wearing and change my table napkin to a black one to match my dark pants. Nor do I remember a restaurant heating up the mug a cappuccino comes in to ensure it stays nice and warm. As for food, we were allowed to have some partake in Summerlicious and some not. I had the Summerlicious menu and picked the Wagyu Tartare, Surf and Turf, and Buttercake. Great portions, delicious food. My favourite was the Buttercake. We also had happy hour drinks, oysters, a prime rib, and caesar salad. If I were to recommend something, get the $78 prime rib which is 14 oz, perfectly seasoned, and comes with glazed carrots and the most amazing mashed potatoes I've ever had.

I found myself wanting to try most of the cocktails, which is a rarity. We got the Strawberry Tetsu to start (inspired by Uncle Tetsu's Japanese cheesecake), along with the Cloudy Oolong (tea-based cocktail with a salted caramel cheese foam). The Strawberry Tetsu tasted like a dessert and was delicious, with a graham cracker crumble rim. The Cloudy Oolong had a strong tea taste which I loved, as sometimes the tea can get lost in a cocktail. The foam on top was addicting and paired nicely with it, similar to a bubble tea. Next, I had the Burnt Yuzu which was light and refreshing from the citrus. The bar is hidden behind Misfit Ice Cream, with a speakeasy vibe to the interior. We walked up to an unassuming entrance that is part of the experience, and once inside, the atmosphere shifts completely. The space is intimate and cozy with dim lighting, comfortable seating, and a relaxed speakeasy vibe that makes it easy to settle in for a couple of drinks. The transition from the street to the interior feels deliberate, and the low-key energy of the room encourages lingering. The cocktail menu leans heavily into Asian-inspired flavors, and that is what makes it stand out. Every drink feels thoughtfully developed rather than relying on presentation alone. We tried the Cloudy Oolong, which was especially memorable with its rich tea flavor and creamy cheese foam that added a savory depth to the cocktail. The Strawberry Tetsu offered a dessert-like profile without becoming overly sweet, balancing fruit and tea notes in a way that felt refined and well composed. Each cocktail arrived beautifully presented and balanced, making it easy to appreciate the amount of care that goes into every glass. The menu is creative without being gimmicky, and the flavors are well integrated, with each drink offering something distinct. Located on the 31st floor of the St. Regis Hotel, the restaurant has an incredible atmosphere. The dining room is absolutely stunning with a classy and luxurious feel, but it still feels comfortable and inviting rather than too formal. We started the evening with cocktails before moving into the Summerlicious menu. I ordered the "I Only Drink When I Smoke," which was a great way to start the night. It had a subtle smoky flavour with a touch of sweetness, and the alcohol was not overpowering at all. It was smooth, easy to sip on, and the perfect drink to enjoy while having conversations. For my Summerlicious menu, I started with the Tartare de Boeuf and Caviar. The filet mignon tartare was fresh and really smooth, with a nice balance of rich and savoury flavours. The toasted bread also gave it a nice crunch and paired really well with the tartare. For the main course, I had the Roasted Chateaubriand Filet. When the plate was served, the meat looked really rare as I saw nothing but red on the meat, but it was incredibly tender, making it easy to cut through. It was full of flavour, and the sauce complemented the steak without being too heavy or salty. The vegetables added a nice balance to the dish, and the creamy mashed potatoes were smooth, and definitely one of my favourite parts of the meal. To finish, I had the Mango Passionfruit Cheesecake. It was creamy without feeling too heavy. Though the fruity flavours from the mango passionfruit were a bit tart and sweet for my palate, it still gave an overall refreshing touch. The crust added a nice texture, and it was the perfect ending to the meal. Beyond the food, what really stood out was the service and pacing of the evening. Each course arrived at the right time, allowing us to enjoy every dish without feeling rushed. The price point is definitely on the higher end, so it is not somewhere I would personally visit for a casual dinner on a regular basis. However, for a special occasion, celebration, or a night where you want to enjoy a beautiful dining experience, I think Louix Louis would be a great choice... and for $75/ person for Summerlicious/ Winterlicious, definitely a great value to sample the chefs' artistry. Overall, it was a memorable evening with an elegant atmosphere, thoughtfully prepared dishes, and great service. I can definitely understand why this spot has become such a popular destination, and I would love to come back again for Winterlicious!

Perched high above the bustle of downtown Toronto, LOUIX LOUIS makes a compelling first impression…read more The dining room is genuinely handsome -- a study in polished Art Deco glamour softened by sweeping city views that lend every table a sense of occasion. On a Valentine's Day brunch visit, the atmosphere alone was enough to justify the reservation. The kitchen demonstrates genuine competence: dishes arrive with care, the pacing is unhurried, and the mise en scène -- from tableside presentation to that now-famous thirteen-layer chocolate cake -- reveals an establishment that understands the theatre of fine dining. That towering slice of chocolate cake, in particular, is a masterstroke of marketing and pastry craft in equal measure; it draws the eye, earns its reputation, and very nearly steals the show. Where LOUIX LOUIS gives one pause is in the cuisine's ability to fully match its surroundings. The cooking is accomplished and reliably pleasant, yet seldom rises to the level of genuine distinction one might hope for at this price point. Dishes satisfy without surprising; technique is evident but inspiration, at moments, feels held in reserve. For the corporate traveller or the visitor seeking a polished, geographically convenient showcase of the city's skyline, this represents an entirely sound choice. For those seeking an experience whose flavours linger as long as the view, the kitchen has room yet to grow into its magnificent stage. Service is attentive and well-intentioned, though it can occasionally want for the depth of knowledge that elevates a good meal into a memorable one. LOUIX LOUIS is, in sum, a very good restaurant striving -- not quite yet arriving -- at greatness. The bones are exceptional; one hopes the culinary vision will, in time, catch up with them.
