My favorite Thai restaurant around for food. Go to lunch there often. Never disappoints. I crave their food. The Coconut soup - I could eat three bowls of it! Love the Pad Thai (best I've had in Florida ever). Love all the curry's but the green curry is my favorite. The crab ragoons are so good! Only suggestion is that they need duck sauce and/or pink sauce for some of appetizers and not just the cucumber dipping sauce (which is delicious!). The service was good. The women who work there are lovely. My friend, having had the tempura before, recommended to my father. He was worried that it would be too greasy, but she said it wouldn't because she had it four days before and gets it all the time and it never is. The tempura on Saturday, 17 May was extra greasy and gave my father indigestion all night. The other four people, including myself got pad Thai. Some had shrimp, another tofu, and I had shrimp and chicken. My shrimp were strangely undercooked. My friend who got tofu ended up with tons of vegetables in her pad Thai, which is not the usual way of serving pad Thai and was not stated on the menu. So she asked for a new pad Thai with just the tofu no peanuts, spring onions, and sprouts. What they brought back to her was the exact same food with the vegetables taken out and no added noodles, tofu, sprouts, or green onions. It was very sad because my friends really like this place. I don't know why they didn't remake the tofu pad Thai or at least add some more noodles, sprouts, or green onions. read more

Actually pleasant Thai experience. I'm not sure why it had not come up in my searches for Thai food before. Service is friendly and superb. It helps the place is small ish and well staffed. The food was excellent I had two soups and red curry. I personally like my curry a bit creamier with more coconut milk. This one actually worked very well too because it allowed me to go work out afterwards without snoozing @gym portions are great as are their prices. They charge well not cheap and bad and not expensive undervalue. Locations is great right on Dixie. Parking seems small but keep in mind plenty street parking. Wattana is celebrating 30 years - so it was worth trying such a long standing restaurant. It is located in a corner of Dixie Hwy (Rt 1) on the south side of West Palm Beach. The restaurant itself is really modest, no frills - super friendly staff. We tried their Fresh Spring Rolls (for me - salad in a roll must have.) - also ordered the Bean Thread Noodles with Squid, Lad Na Noodles with gravy sauce, broccoli and squid, Chicken Panang Curry - All dishes were delicious. Great great great! Started with Thai tea, cucumbers, pork dumplings, and Tom kha soup- all came out very quick and very tasty! The soup had tons of flavor and was made to our spice level. We got the dumplings fried and they were super crunchy; some of the best we have had. Dinner we tried red curry and had sesame chicken... portions were large, and we have lunch for tomorrow. Sesame chicken wasn't too sweet and red curry again, one of the best we have had. Our serve was OUTSTANDING! He was funny and directed us to things he liked and then also more popular meals. On a chilly day, we were offered complimentary chicken noodle soup and it was perfect. Not too salty, great flavor and just the right portion size to leave room for our entrees. I placed an order for take out tonight, Valentines Day. I'm practically dying from cold/flu and ALL I wanted in this world was spicy Thai. I found a menu online and took a gamble on this new joint. OMG. DELISH. I mean, somehow, the woman who took down my order managed to psychically divine exactly how spicy I needed my Chicken Coconut soup just by my saying, "I'm sick, so I need it spicy, but not Thai spicy." I grew up 3 blocks from this Thai restaurant. I have dined here at least 50 times over the past 15 years. It is run by nice Thai people and once upon a time it had low prices and better Thai chefs - it used to be consistently great-to-amazing. I came back one year and distinctly noticed that the prices have gone up and the food had gotten much more bland and westernized. Now most of the stuff on the menu is pretty basic American-Thai fusion.. decent and edible... but occasionally they'll do a whole fish or duck special on the blackboard that is actually pretty tasty or impressive. But it's kind of a gamble. Nothing here is bad.. but most of it is just okay. Miss the old Wattana Thai... but everything changes.. and if you want to get real Thai food you'll have to learn how to cook it yourself, go to non-resort & non-tourist restaurants in thaialdm... or eat in a Thai person's home. read more

My boyfriend and I are never coming back to dine at this place. First of all, our waiter did not even attempt to accommodate our request to order only dishes made gluten-free since we both have non-celiac gluten sensitivity. He said that all the dishes on their menu contain gluten and that they do not stock their kitchen with Tamari (a wheat-free soy sauce). He also didn't come around to inquire if he can be of any assistance, or if we'd like anything for dessert, like most good waiters do. Second, the temp inside was too warm for comfort on a hot FLORIDA day!
