For lunch today we stopped in this large plaza with plenty of parking. I chose a Sushi Sashimi combination box and a salad that came with the lunch. My lunch was delivered in a short time and contained Sushi pieces, nine thick slices of Sashimi, and nine pieces of a California roll. Preceded by a crisp salad with ginger dressing. Well it was, I highly recommend this restaurant.The service was amazing. The food was as well. I started. with a large saki warm, my bride started with a ginger dressing salad. We usually are very pleased with Thai Haru and get takeout from there frequently. The quality has been consistent, until now... they used LIMA BEANS instead of edamame in my poke bowl! And the quality of the other contents in my bowl were not fresh. I'm honestly shook they thought this was an acceptable swap, or that people can be fooled this easily. We were heading to another Thai/sushi restaurant when I saw online that they were closed on vacation. Found this restaurant using my yelp app. Thank you to my fellow yelpers who have done previous reviews -- as it turned out to be very good. It wasn't hard to find once we entered into the shopping center. There were plenty of parking spaces, as well. We were a bit later than our usual dinner time and they were not busy at all when we first sat down. After a short while, we were surprised to see several other tables fill up, and along with a number of folks doing takeout plus delivery pickups it was quite busy. My husband started with their shrimp tom kha soup. He said it was quite good. Most of the small versions of this soup have only a few shrimp, so he was happy to find four nice sized ones. I also had some soup to start -- their chicken filled won ton soup. The base is more flavorful and not as salty (nor yellow) as the Chinese version. I liked my soup as well. After that he had a salmon sushi roll. I had their chicken satay appetizer -- several skewers of curried grilled white meat chicken along with two dipping sauces. I preferred the peanut based one. I took half of this dish home for later. We'd had a big late lunch, so we weren't that hungry and didn't try much of their menu. But the menu is extensive from your favorite Thai dishes, even ramen, to all sorts of Japanese dishes and sushi. We felt prices were quite reasonable. We definitely will be coming back here to try some other dishes. This one is a keeper. read more

I've only had sushi from this restaurant, but they've got a large and very decent looking selection of Thai dishes. The sushi has always been decent, including the various rolls and sashimi we've ordered. I've never had anything that didn't seem very fresh. The service has been friendly and attentive enough and the restaurant is very clean. I live very close to Thai Haru, and it's a regular carry-out spot for me. I've never been disappointed in my choices here. I love their curries, green especially. The pad thai is amazing. I just recently placed an order to go for 4 items and 2 were nowhere close to the level as they used to be. I ordered tom khar w/ shrimp and it was full of mushrooms and 2 shrimp. Typical there are 5 shrimp and a decent amount of mushrooms, but not an overload. Second, I paid $15 for tuna tataki and received $5 worth of tuna so thinly shaved i could have stacked it to make 3 slices of the 8 it should have been. Becoming disappointed lately. read more

We looked for another place to order sushi take-out after our favorite go-to spot shut down due to COVID. After doing some perusing on Yelp, I discovered Thai Haru, impressed by the photography of their sushi rolls that looked incredibly appetizing. When the time came to order sushi from somewhere, Thai Haru was the spot, and we weren't disappointed in the slightest. Thai Haru happens to be in the same plaza as Inlet Liquors, where I purchase specific whiskey bottles -- the intersection of Jog Road and Okeechobee Boulevard. Being that there is a Walgreen's Neighborhood Market in this plaza, there is a bit of traffic if you're going to access from the Jog Road entrance between cars and people. If you enter from the Okeechobee access point, it's a lot easier as Thai Haru is closer to the plaza's east side. We have ordered take out from Thai Haru twice. Both times we have ordered take out from this place have been amazing. The sushi chefs make incredible rolls with fresh fish. While their menu has some typical standouts -- Volcano Roll and Unagi Don, to name two -- they also have some nice fresh takes on other rolls. The Sea of Love and Miami Rolls are fabulous. The latter two inside-out rolls are very satisfying. The Sea of Love comprises spicy tuna, avocado, asparagus topped with seared tuna, tempura flakes, four (4) Sauces, and very good. The Miami Roll also has tuna, asparagus, avocado, but has salmon and cream cheese, topped with eel, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. Very magical. But going back to the Unagi Don, they serve a very healthy portion of eel sashimi with the rice -- nine (9) pieces in total, with broccoli. Many places don't serve a sizeable portion of eel with the Unagi Don dish, but Thai Haru delivers in spades. And it's delicious, which is always important. They have an extensive tempura-outside roll menu that you could order one from their selection and not need to order anything else. They are big; they are filling, you will probably get at least two or three meals out of it if you order other rolls. Case in point, their Super Volcano Roll is as big and filling as it sounds. With krab, eel, salmon, cream cheese, avocado & asparagus, the roll is tempura-battered and topped with Volcano sauce and masago. The roll is epic. This roll destroys other rolls for a living. It is... wait for it... volcanic. For typical Asian items, the gyoza is wicked tasty with the house-made soy sauce. I order them pan-seared, which is the only way I order them period. Excellent. Price-wise, the items are reasonably priced. You receive a lot of tantalizing food for what you spend. I don't think we have a bad item, let alone order in the two times we have ordered here. I had a dragon roll and a spider roll. They were both delicious - especially the spider roll. The presentation was remarkably good for a delivery order. I was impressed. The temperature of the food was good, and it was delivered within a reasonable amount of time. The servings are huge - at least they are for what I got. The dragon roll was longer than my hand. I ordered two rolls, but I feel like I would've been fine with one. I'm used to smaller rolls at other sushi restaurants (not complaining!). I would absolutely order again. Thai Haru is in a strip mall in West Palm Beach, right near Wal-Mart. I was in town for the first time ever for a few days for a family funeral and took a chance on it my first night. The food was excellent and delicious. It was a few months back now but there were perfect spring rolls and steamed fish involved and I couldn't stop eating it. Left the place stuffed and very happy! The staff were fun too - especially the woman who must be the manager or owner. She came over to chat at the table ... I went there twice more during my trip and by the third visit it was like I was an old family friend coming in. Great little place - highly recommended! read more
