The salon was great! Very clean, friendly staff, and the pricing is extremely fair. Also, on your first visit a Brazilian is 50% off! They also give a 15% off discount if you come in within the next 3 weeks! Melissa did my wax and she was great! I'm always nervous getting waxed by someone new, but she talked to me and kept me distracted and was done quickly. This salon is very busy mom friendly and they have an awesome waiting area just for the kiddos!!!! read more

This was my first visit to wax bare and I saw Melissa! She is awesome. I had a Brazilian done and not only was it almost painless but she indulged my talking because that's how I distract myself. She was probably the best waxes I've had and I go to a lot of private specialty waxers. Every hear is gone! And I have very little red. I just cannot give this place enough praise! I've been here a few times already and haven't had a bad experience with any of the staff. Everyone is so pleasant and professional. Melissa did my brows and Brazilian today, and both were quick and the least painful. I'm so pleased with the results, and I'm so glad she fixed my previously hideous eyebrows. Book your appointment ahead of time, because their available times fill up fast. It's not surprising how busy they've gotten, because they're just that awesome! read more

I first met Vanessa at EWC and now I followed her to her new place! The location is great because there is actually available parking! I like Vanessa's professionalism, friendliness and mannerism. I got my very first Brazilian wax today and my experience was amazing! I have never been waxed before and this was my first. I was waxed by Sara and she's amazing. She made me feel very comfortable and not shy at all. She was very gentle and very professional. She explained everything that she was doing and it made me feel more comfortable. The waxing didn't hurt, it was quick and easy, just a slight sting and then it went away. This place is perfect for people who has never gotten wax before. The shop is very clean and it even has a spot for kids to play in, which is a plus for me because I have a little one. read more

I booked my first wax appointment through yelp, I like the convenience. I made my appointment with Melissa for a celebrity eyebrow wax and she is awesome. She took her time and made sure my eyebrows were perfect. I like how they use the hard wax, didn't feel a thing. I am looking forward to my next appointment. Established in 2014.

Wax Bare was started by local Estheticians, Vanessa Li and Gina Cocks. Our vision is to create the most comfortable and pleasant waxing experience possible. Our cosmetologists and estheticians are all experts with many years in the waxing and skin care industry.

Meet the Business Owner: Vanessa W.

Vanessa was born and raised in Eastern Russia, where she earned her degree in business technology. After college, Vanessa traveled the Far East, working in various industries in China, South Korea and Japan, before finally settling in beautiful Elk Grove, California in 2010. Vanessa opted for a change of pace. Her passion for the beauty and skin care industry led her to Federico Beauty Institute, where she graduated at the top of her class in 2011 and was quickly hired as a wax specialist at one of the countries leading wax salons. In 2014, Vanessa decided that opening her own specialty waxing salon would be the best way for her to share her expertise with the community.

The staff doing our pedicures were very friendly and attentive to doing exactly what we requested. The aesthetics of this shop is very pleasing as the shop itself is clean, neat and orderly. They also have a myriad of options for nail polish colors. I ended up selecting a gel nail polish, which at the time of writing this review, a month later, is still intact on my toe nails. (I know - I need another pedicure soon. lol) I will say the price was a little bit costly compared to other places I have been, however, that may be because we selected one of the highest packages. Either way, my mother enjoyed the shop and even upon leaving the guy at the register, welcomed us to come back by giving us a 10% off our next service coupon. I will say due to the friendly staff, the clean environment and all of the safety protocols that they take to make sure that you get a clean experience, I would definitely visit the shop again. I LOVE MELISSA!!! I've never had a wax before in life. I scheduled an appointment @ EWC, and she was my waxer. She was awesome and still is awesome!!! She makes me feel comfortable and the services I receive are high quality. Melissa does great work! I highly recommend her. I love this place! The facilities are clean and the friendly staff makes you feel super comfortable. I highly recommend Melissa. I do not get waxed very often so I am always nervous going in for a Brazilian but she did an amazing job, both with the wax itself as well as keeping a great conversation going to distract me from my nerves. read more

Wax Bare Salon is opening in mid-November . They are locally owned and the owner works in the salon everyday......very comfortable and approachable staff.
