I have been going to wax bare for over a year and it used to be good, i can't however say that it's consistent. First of all they straight up overcharge, im sorry but $71 for a brazilian, and they don't even get all the hair. RIDICULOUS. They only have about three waxers that are available. One of their waxers Angie, doesn't only take around 40 minutes to do the wax, but does an awful job, to put it in the kindest words. The only good thing about it is that the place is very nice and clean but other than that, I would advise against going. read more

I'm so happy that I decided to come here instead of the other wax place that basic people go to. The wax here is better on the skin, the atmosphere is comfortable and clean, the staff is friendly and helpful and the waxers are the best. I loved everything about the experience. It's been a while since I've been here. I came when they first opened, so I knew who to see.. Sara F. I came for a Brazilian...no matter what, this service is not very comfortable. Sara was very patient with me, kept me talking. Her main focus was to get me to relax. At one point I was laughing too hard to breath. In the end, everything looked good. The space is very clean and the snacks and drinks while you wait are a nice touch. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. After a decade or longer hiatus from waxing, I decided to treat myself. I was a little nervous because I remembered the first time I ever went, my friend was laughing hysterically while I SCREAMED uncomfortably in between pulls! LoL. When I got in, I really liked the feel of the place. There was a woman at the front desk who greeted me when I wandered in. It's clean, but not sterile. Everything is in plain site so I quickly realized that the prices were a lot different than when I remember going years ago... I asked if they took walk-ins, but they didn't have any available until later. They are open until 8pm! That means I can go after work! Anyway, I was still wondering how I would react... Thankfully, it's like riding a bike. When I set the appointment, I was a little nervous that my aesthetician would be stuffy, or make me feel awkward. She wasn't and didn't! I had the pleasure of being assisted by Sara F. She is friendly, personable, and super easy to talk to! It was really nice and I am just shocked I hadn't ever noticed the place! Making an appointment was a minor hassle because I had to register for an online account through a third-party website. You are able to call and make an appointment to avoid that however. I arrived a little early for my appointment with Anna and was immediately checked in. I waited less than a few minutes before Anna brought me back to the room. The salon is very clean and well-kept. Anna was very friendly and talkative, in a very genuine way. The waxing went very smoothly (pun intended) and I am extremely happy with the results. I walked in looking like the dad from American pie and walked out with eyebrows that actually belong on a female face. I would never recommend this place! I made an appointment over a week ago. Confirmed my appointment multiple times thru their system (email and text). I took off the day for my appointment since it was in the middle of the day and I live 30 mins away. Approximately 1.5 hour before my appointment I received a call stating that Vanessa was not taking any new clients and that the next available appointment with another person wasn't until 2pm. Completely ridiculous. I was very excited to try this place from their reviews and Vanessa's IG that I was willing to travel. I have been growing my eyebrows out for months. Had been contemplating for weeks on coming here or not. Finally decided and had been looking forward to this day. What a terrible way to conduct business. It would've been nice if they had on their website who is and isn't accepting new clients and it shouldn't have taken them a week and right before my appointment to notify me this. Amazing. I just moved back to the Sacramento area from Walnut Creek and I'm so happy a friend recommended this place to me. I was having serious withdrawals and almost decided to start commuting back to WC, JUST to do my brows. I went to another location that I won't name drop, but it rhymes with HunchLox, and sigh... no. Just no. the progress that was made on my brows back in WC was just all ruined. I chose Vanessa for my waxing and I immediately fell in love. She took her time, explained to me how she would carefully fix the errors that were made by HunchLox and rocked me as I cried uncontrollably until my nasty, bad brow flashbacks stopped. This updated review is for Vanessa just for her Microblading skills. I have been waiting for my amazing eyebrow lady to get an opening so I can get my brows microbladed!! I've always looked into the process of not having to draw in my eyebrows every day, so microblading it was! I didn't trust anyone - with my eyebrows just for waxing, let alone microblading && behold, amazing Vanessa now does microblading! The process it self takes a couple of hours. She gave me a brief consult of what kind of look I would want to achieve and what was the best shape for my face. She then carefully drew out my brows till I was happy with the results, this process took awhile since I am honestly a picky person & she is a perfectionist herself (YAY). The micorblading process doesn't take that long after we figured out what I was going for. She does numb up your brow area so it didn't hurt as much as I expected it would be. It felt like I was getting my eyebrows tweezed the entire time instead && in the end was SUPER happy with my results! Healing process is about a 10 day dry healing process & then you would come in a month later for your TU appointment which is to "perfect" your brows. I cannot tell you how HAPPY I am with my results & how much time I have left to spare when getting ready whether it is in the morning or for a night out with the bf/girls. It just blows my mind how I use to spend 10-20 minutes on my brows, and now I don't have to do anything if I'm rocking a natural look for the day. I will darken and thicken my brows when I am heading out at night, as to my own liking. But now with the brows I also have a shape to follow when filling them in, which is SUPER nice. No one can even tell that I have my brows microbladed and it is nice to WIPE my brows during the day when I am either extra oily or even accidentally & they don't move! I put on my big girl pants and finally mustered up the courage to get a Brazilian Bikini wax. I yelped to look for the best rated waxing center in Sacramento, and Wax Bare came up as the first one. Lucky me since I also live down the street from this location! I made my appointment with Vanessa, who happens to be the owner. Her salon is extremely chic. Everything is decorated in white and with dainty accessories. They even offer drinks (water, tea, coffee, sparkling water, soda) and small snacks to their customers. I even noticed their was a kid's play area in the salon as well! Very nice touch! Vanessa had me in the waxing room within 5 minutes and told me to be bare from the waist down and to assume "the position" (for first timers, you just want to get in a butterfly position while laying on the medical table). The wax rooms were extremely clean, and nicely decorated. Vanessa made me feel extremely comfortable and made the wax as painless as it could get. Really great experience! I looked at so many reviews because I was so afraid of my first waxing experience to go wrong. Most wax salons in this city have really terrifying reviews besides this place so I booked an appointment via Yelp. I called them to make sure it worked and with no surprise, I was booked! I came to my appointment about 15 minutes early, they checked me in and had me literally in and out of the place within 5 minutes. It was super fast. The employees are very welcoming and friendly. I don't remember my waxers name unfortunately, but I loved her a lot. She took me into Room 2 on a Friday, July 26th at 2:45pm. She did an incredible job. Well, I hate to post this review because the salon is excellent and they do great waxing. This review is only for microblading by Vanessa. I am very unhappy with my results. I had my touch up like I was supposed to and after paying 550.00 this is what I have. I mentioned many times to my wax gal there that I was unhappy and she even took a picture of my brows to show Vanessa and I didn't Even recieve a call. Yes, I had previous permanent make up that was very faded and barely there so she wasn't sure about the results I would have. My problem is, I wanted hair strokes! She didn't even ask me and made the hair strokes really close together so you couldn't even see them! She also did not consult me about color or show me what the colors were to choose from. The eyebrows are way to thin and the shape is uneven. I must say she spent a lot of time and detail on them but I am not happy. I also sent a friend to her and her brows looked worse than mine and she had to go to another place to fix them. Sorry Vanessa I won't be back. 550.00 is way too much money to not get the results I wanted. read more

This morning I woke up and looked at my brows and thought, "Oh gosh, my eyebrows need to be tamed, ASAP!"
