Stylus, speakers, record cleaners etc etc. In recently to pick up the new Kendrick album. A Christmas preorder and luckily they had some extras but I'm glad an LP WAS set aside for me. Big collection of classic and contemporary records. More popular music in addition to that obscure record you've been hunting for. Not far from the state capitol so parking can be tough at times. Still most spots are free for two hours so unless you plan to shop all day you won't have an issue. Twist and Shout is another Denver classic but for me Wax Trax is the Mecca. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. New releases, classics, record store day exclusives. Well worth a visit while you are in the mile high city. Happy spins!

Flippant, Dishonest, and Deeply Disrespectful Buying Experience and the records are overpriced…read more I have shopped here in the past and based on the high prices of the used records, I assumed my used records would sell at fair market value here but this was not the case. I brought in a curated stack of clean, high‑demand records and was met with one of the most disrespectful experiences I have ever had. The buyer behind the counter was openly flippant, dismissive, and acted like I had no idea what I was bringing in. His attitude alone set the tone -- rushed, condescending, and completely uninterested in treating me with respect. I think it takes longer than five minutes to look at the quality and condition of 30 records. He opened with a lowball offer that did not match the titles, rarity or the condition, and when I questioned it, he said "records not selling" while we are standing in a store literally packed with people buying vinyl. It was insulting, and it was clearly meant to make me feel like I should be grateful for whatever lowball number he threw out. The moment I pushed back and asked for my records back, his offer suddenly jumped up but still well under a fair trade. That tells you everything about their honesty and ethics. It was not about fair value -- it was about seeing what they could get away with - how low they could lowball. To top it off, they paid with a check instead of cash, which made the whole thing feel even more disrespectful, inconvenient, and dismissive. In hindsight, I wish I had taken my records back but I was so disoriented by the disrespect and clerk behavior. And it made me realize why I never sell or trade records. If you care about being treated with basic respect or honesty, take your business somewhere else. I will never buy anything from this disreputable unethical establishment. And you should not either. This is not a mom and pop business but a business operating without integrity exploiting its customers.

The staff is friendly and helpful to answer all of my questions. I reflected on all the cool vinyl albums that I've had in past and at Twist & Shout you can relive them & purchase them. Their selection is so vast that I believe you would find what you are looking for. I came to see if they wanted any of my old CDs. They did take some of them and I received store credit! Free parking is available in the back. Go check it out, you won't be disappointed! Who knew that they have been around since 1988 and it all began with 2 English teachers purchasing the store at an auction. A lot of the toys here are from the 70s-90s but they have some older and newer stuff too. Many are used, some new and they do have some collectibles. The staff are super nice and knowledgeable and just ask that you don't manhandle everything because there's some old stuff there they don't want dirtied or broken which is a no brainer. They have hand sanitizer at the entrance to help with that. We had a fun time reliving some of our youth and I saw toys there I hadn't thought about since I was in elementary school. I have got to say, it is absolutely one of the coolest stores I have seen in a long time. First it is a used clothing store, with lots of vintage and retro clothing, including band shirts. Second, they have a lot of fun new and souvenir items, cute Denver shot glasses, funny greeting cards, postcards and other kitschy items. Third, it is a bar... and not just any bar. It is a fun bar with containers of moonshine named after 80's songs. My friend and I enjoyed a couple of mimosas while we were shopping. In addition to that, they have a DJ booth with music on several evenings. We also took pictures in an old photo booth. It has something for just about anyone - jewelry, glassware, hats, purses, lots of gently used clothes, collectables of all kinds, odd, unique items, furniture, fossils, games, electronics, typewriters, magazines, comic books, and on and on. The great feature of this store is it's organized and not a dumping ground for old unwanted stuff. I looked through their vinyl records which were categorized alphabetically and unlike most antique stores where the majority of albums are '60s Country & Western has-beens, there were actually classic albums I wanted to buy. There are so many cool things at this place I can only explain it as a Meow Wolf where you can buy the cool things you see.
