The lady at the front desk told me I'd be good to come back in an hour. So, I did. When I came back, it turns out I wasn't even put on the books, but the other lady at the front desk recognized me so I thought we were all good. I was sat down where I waited about 15 minutes. It made sense, since it looked like every tech was busy with a client, but I was somewhat treated like I had an appointment so I was a bit confused as to why I was even told to come back in an hour if no one would be available to serve me. Eventually, the young lady at the front desk actually jumped in and started the process of removing my old acrylics. I'm not even sure if she's trained for that, but I feel bad that she was doing something that was probably not in her job description. After she worked a little on my nails, a nail tech ended up finishing the job for her. Unfortunately, the job done was pretty poor. My fingers and nails had turned white from soaking in acetone for so long, and I could tell that the nail tech left behind acrylic polymer on my nails (which I literally just peeled off myself). My nails were also cut and left with sharp edges that I had to fix myself. Not to be cheap, but the end result was definitely not worth $15. Luckily, I only went here to make my nails go back to looking grubby, and not to have them done for a special occasion. I slightly fear what the outcome would've been had they actually done my nails. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.

I've been to Luxx Nail Bar three times. These visits were the first times in life EVER that I'd…read moreever had a pedicure or worn nail polish, so I came in with very little experience or knowledge of nail terminology or what to expect. My first visit went reasonably well. I felt a bit awkward because I didn't know the terminology and wasn't sure how things worked, but I pushed through and overall felt good about the service I received. During my second visit, I wasn't happy with the polish color I chose. I did ask for help, but I was only given a color card to choose from. The color looked nice on the sample card but ended up being completely wrong for me once applied. I felt embarrassed asking for a change, so I didn't speak up. Aside from the color, I was otherwise satisfied with the service. Unfortunately, my third visit was a very poor experience. The technician used a metal foot file ("cheese grater") on my feet even though they are already soft and free of calluses. This caused deep cuts on the sides of both my feet, leaving me with painful sores that lasted for weeks. This was completely unnecessary and very upsetting. Additionally, I again asked for help choosing a polish color because I wanted a classic Christmas red. Once again, I was only given a color card. The technician did not allow me to preview the color before painting multiple nails, and the result was a very dark shade that was nearly black. The nails were also left longer than I wanted. Overall, I left that appointment extremely unhappy. Between the incorrect color, lack of guidance, nails not being shaped to my preference, and the physical injury to my feet, this experience has made me hesitant to return. I hope the salon considers being more attentive--especially with clients who are new to nail services--and avoids using aggressive tools when they aren't needed.

I came in with no expectations of the pain level, and it ended up hurting a lot less than waxes I've gotten in the past. When you arrive you'll need to take off your shoes at the door. There's water in the waiting room and plenty of seating and reading material. Lucianne was super patient and provided a lot of information on the process. She was gentle (as far as hair removal goes) and made my first sugaring experience super relaxing. If you're used to waxing, the pain is no where compared to a Brazilian wax. If you're nervous l, highly recommend taking a Tylenol beforehand. They sell natural skincare products in-house, and I purchased their serum created by Ritual Union (ritual_Union on IG) to use and help with ingrowns and moisturizing. It's full of great ingredients and I'm excited to be using it. If you're into skincare/body care, Lucianne recommended to check out Earth Commons on Springdale Road. They also do events, sell tea blends, and offer holistic services. Absolutely loved my experience and I think this has converted me from using hard wax to sugaring. Highly recommend if you're looking to try sugaring!

I found her page again and decided to book an appointment for a full-service eyebrow waxing which is $37 which is absolutely ridiculous but hey, it's her prices and I liked her work before so I opted to just go with her and pay the extremely unreasonable price anyway. I get to the appointment 5 minutes late and she tells me that she can only work on me for 5 minutes because she has someone at 5pm. OK so I understood that and continue to proceed to the appointment. I get to the appointment, she does just the bottom of my brows and sent me on my way with no mirror or asking me how I like it, NOTHING and still charges me the full balance of $37 even though she did HALF the job! $37 for 4 minutes of work is absolutely disgusting! I will never in my life return to this business again that was extremely unprofessional and not cool because I have been coming to this business for years! She clearly has no consideration for her clients. I am an aesthetician myself, and I could never in my life imagine doing someone like that. To put the cherry on top when I get out of the appointment, the woman that was behind me was a few minutes late so she could have worked on me until the woman got there, but didn't. Came to Heavenly Hair Salon & Spa for the very first time after needing a haircut in this TX heat…read more First impression-I was blown away, I wasn't sure if due to such a short time, if a stylist would be available but when I made the call the receptionist was so graciously nice enough to find a stylist for me & so grateful for all her help. When I first walked in I was greeted, checked in, & was offered something to drink while I waited for my stylist. Cameron greeted me with a warm smile as if we had been friends before & was very tentative with what I wanted. Cameron was very nice & made sure I was fully satisfied & happy with my new haircut & also provided me with information on how to style it & care for it. The other receptionist which I wish I got her name but she had red hair was also very informative & nice. Cameron & both receptionist gave me great information & even asked to book another appointment to maintain my new haircut. Needless to say I think I have found a new salon & I will be returning .
