She's a great conversationalist and waxes super quick! Due to COVID-They sanitize every time a customer left, took your temperature when you arrived, and gave you hand sanitizer when you left. Best waxing experience Ive ever had in my life! Ive had a number of traumatic experiences at different waxing salons and almost gave up on waxing as a whole but Katherine changed that for me! I came here for a brazilian, my pain tolerance is very low I really cant handle it but man I don't know what Katherine did but she killed it!! It was fast and nowhere near as painful as other salons Ive been to! My time spent there was relaxing , Kat played my favorite artist the whole time and we had great conversation! When I got there Susie greeted me, she's such a sweetheart! She immediately makes you feel welcome and since this was my first Brazilian wax ever she took all the nerves away with her positive and peppy attitude. Nina gave me my wax and she was great! She told me she just started here in January but she was so professional and kept the experience comfortable (as much as it could be). I love that they also ask what your favorite song is because as soon as you get in there you hear your favorite artist - which helps distract you from the pain of the wax. The environment provided is private and comfortable; you can even pick your own music to listen to. I especially appreciate the cleanliness of the suite and process (no double dipping), safety of products, and the no strip required wax used for sensitive areas (underarms and bikini). I came here last month searching for a true "waxologist" with the hope of finding someone who I could trust for personal body care services; Waxpro Waxbar ended that search. Three appointments in, I referred my sister, who is now willing to drive several hours just to be taken care of by Veronica. Shayla is amazing. Thorough and easy to talk to. I had three things done in the order below: Eyebrow tinting - This was my second time doing the tinting, but my first time with Shayla. Different experience than my first. With my first experience at a different location, they just applied a glob of tint across my eyebrows, they were done in less than 5 minutes. It was not the case with Shayla; she took her time and made sure the shape and everything was perfect. Underarm sugaring - Totally painless. It was my first time sugaring so I did not know what to expect. It does take a little bit longer than regular waxing, but the results were obviously better....clean and smooth. Brazilian sugaring - I had never done sugaring before so I was a little nervous to get a brazilian, especially after seeing how long the underarms took, lol. But it wasn't bad. I'm sure it would have hurt a lot less if the hairs weren't as long (sorry TMI). You can tell the sugaring just does a better job at removing the hair because it's worked and molded around the hairs and so it removes the hair only, it does not stick to the skin. I've been looking for an excellent brow waxing salon for quite some time (1.5 years!) in the DMV area and I've finally found it! I had an eyebrow wax with Veronica yesterday and it was great. She took her time to explain what she'd be doing and she penciled an outline of what it would look like before she began waxing so I would feel at ease that my brows wouldn't be butchered. After going through some nightmare-ish eyebrow situations with other salons in the past, I can say that I've found THE ONE! Veronica made my eyebrows look natural and classic, not thin or overdone. A standard eyebrow wax is a bit pricey at $40 but I think well worth it because I truly believe eyebrows make or break the face. I also took her up on the half-off henna treatment ($35 marked down from $70) to give my brows a little extra darkness for a few weeks and am extremely happy with the results. (In fact, they suggest that you call from your car/outside the shop when you arrive so the staff can usher you in appropriately.) There is street parking right out front that requires quarters only BUT two nearby garages (one across the street and one a block away). I parked in the across-the-street garage for free. Susie welcomed me in the best way. She was bright and energetic, offering me a bottled water, inquiring about my music preferences, and playing 80's-90's R&B during my visit. My legs don't feel smooth at all and there is way too much hair left. I expect to have no hair left when I leave.
