I also enjoyed the sugar wax which seemed to last a pretty long time when I first got it done - Brazilian and underarms. I have always wanted to try sugaring, so I turned to Yelp to look for a place. Narrowed it down to two, and Veronica had the best reviews, and best price, so I decided to give it a try. I was able to book a same day appointment, and the email communication beforehand was helpful and let me know what to expect. Parking was easy (1st two hours free!). Veronica made me feel very comfortable from the beginning. Hard to do when you are 8 months pregnant and not sure what things look like! She talked me through the process and what to expect. She did say it would be a bit painful, but each time would get better. It was a bit painful, but I would expect it when you are having hair ripped out. I got my first sugaring done at Painless Waxing Boutique in Chicago, IL. Due to having to PCS because I'm in the Navy, I had to find a new place. It was very difficult at first because I wasn't having any luck. Then, I found Waxpro Waxbar. My experience here was absolutely AMAZING! The form I had to fill out was online which was great. They even ask what your favorite station on Spotify is which was a shocker to me. Nothing makes me more comfortable than listening to great music. Veronica provided my service. My first wax with this place! Thought I'd try it out since I've seen their name everywhere lately. Veronica is the WaxPro and she does her best to fit you into her schedule. So during my appointment, she was very professional...closed the blinds, walks you through the steps, and plays soothing music. I did my underarms! I am very ticklish and she was patient with me. They're also pretty sensitive areas but the wax she uses is warm, smells good, and is flexible! It actually didn't hurt as I anticipated. It was gentle, non-irritating, and my underarms are so smooth! She also explains to you how to take care of yourself post appointment. It's also a bonus that her salon smells good and is clean! My daughter had an appointment on Sunday to get her legs waxed. We weren't informed prior to our appointment that they moved their location. My husband and daughter waited past the appointment time, because they went to the old location and then had figure why no one was there and where to go. My husband went to their new location where "coming soon" or "opening soon" signs were still up. Thankfully, they found people at the new location. The lady informed him that a lot of people had been doing that. I'm not sure why they didn't use signs to direct people to the new location and why they didn't have a "now open sign", so people knew where to go. They also could have put it in the text message that was sent to us to confirm the appointment or the email. After my daughter came home we looked over her legs and realized that many places were missed (photos attached). I texted them to let them know and they offered for us to come back to get a touch-up. I informed them that it would be difficult, because we live about an hour away. I then asked if we could send photos and get a discount for the next time we come. They said, "yes absolutely ". I sent the photos and never got a response. It is now Tuesday and still haven't heard from them. So, unfortunately we will be taking our business elsewhere. Also, I wouldn't recommend using their text messaging system to schedule. I texted them at 8:35 to schedule an appointment and still didn't hear anything by 2:58. So, I had to message again and they didn't acknowledge that I messaged earlier. read more

Alright ... so I waited 2 wks to write this bc one, it was Friday when I went, right before the long holiday weekend and two I wanted to see the difference between the quality. I have to say I was a bit skeptical at first bc there was appts available and the appt times were as late as they were mines being at 7:15pm. With all that being said I want to say (clears throat) Shayla girl!! You did your thing! I love it, hubby loves it and it's been 2 wks and barely anything. I got a sugar Brazilian and it was well worth it. Before doing this I have had regular Brazilian and just never thought about doing anything else bc it's all the same right? Wrong! Shayla was knowledgeable walked me through it made me feel comfortable gave me tips and I can go on and on. She absolutely loves what she does and her work can tell you that. I know, what do I know it's my first time but her confidence in what she does will have me try her again.Now I am working on regrowing my eyebrows to give them an actual shape so she can have me slaying!! read more

Going to Waxpro Waxbar to see Veronica was the best decision I could have made. I did hours of research on different waxing locations and found the reviews on Veronica. She was so amazing and really makes you feel so comfortable. Brazilian waxing in itself can be an uncomfortable and nerve racking thing to do, (especially for a first timer) but she definitely has you at ease the moment you walk in. She is easy to talk to and funny and also very good at what she does. It was much better than expected and also much less painful than I would have expected. I've been going to European wax for the past year. I thought they were great until I met Veronica. She is absolutely amazing. She made me feel extremely comfortable when getting my Brazilian wax. I tried sugaring for the first time for my Brazilian and it was the same amount of pain as the wax but the best part about it was that I didn't break out, turn red or see any ingrown hairs weeks after. I used the exfoliating sugar, exfoliating gloves and ingrown hair serum Veronica gave me and it worked out wonderfully. No bumps, no discoloration & its silky smooth down there. I recently moved to the DMV area from New York City and I will continue to go to Veronica as long as I live here. She's the absolute best. Shayla is the best! This is the 2nd time she's waxed my face and I couldn't be more pleased. She uses an excellent wax and keeps it at a perfect temperature so that I don't break out or have a horrible 2-day rash.
