We placed our order at 1241. Zoe took our order and she was very friendly, and very careful to get the orders correct. Sat down to wait for our to-go order. Went to the ladies room, there was no toilet paper. So I went to the front to let them know. The older woman there sighed, rolled her eyes and acted like I was annoying her by mentioning it. She sent a guy in with a roll of paper towels. Not toilet paper. I know I said toilet paper, because I leaned in so I didn't have to say it so loud. Same woman walked around with a scowl on her face the entire time we were there. Apparently they ran out of soda. Another employee walked in carrying 2 litter bottles of soda. They were placed out for customers to help themselves. Glad we didn't buy a soda. Time is now 1:01, still no food or milkshakes. 1:08, food is ready. Still no milkshakes. Now waiting for our milkshakes, food is getting cold. Over 40 minutes. Get home, none of the burgers are marked. Have to open each one and see what's on it. Pickles were sweet, all of us removed them. Grilled onions tasted old. Will not ever be back. Wait time was ridiculous, food was meh. read more

They messed up my order. They were supposed to give an Oreo milk and gave me 3 Chocolates and didn't put ketchup on my burger

The place hasn't been cleaned in months. The door to the kitchen had so many grease stains. The food was okay. The floor was sticky and when my shoes stuck to the floor it took an effort to get them unstuck. The chairs are metal and also have not been wiped down in a while. read more

Nice joint. First time here. I was craving a hot dog that wasn't spinning at at 7-11 grill. The price are all the way to the moon. The dog and the cheese fries were finger-licking-good. It was worth it but I'll have to come back on a payday. read more

On line order completed and paid for, when i arrived..(only 1 customer in place ).No order to pick up....explanation was poor. Sleepy service from counter girl..Downpouring rain and had driven from Malvern because recent summer experiences w/food was very good burger.. but 1/. Burgers were tough and chewy, no taste...(not good like before) had to give order verbal because they seemed to not able to locate order on line..even though proof of purchase from debit card showed...also No computer to be seen? Manger did step in to expedite the order of burgers but then forgot toppings on 1 burger and dipping sauces for fries and onion rings...I am still on the fence if I will return..everyone has a bad day..but if the quality of beef has changed and they don't get their order taking together..I will probably not return.. shame because this summer it was one of the best burgers around. Also Manager offered no compisation for the 20 min wait caused by faulty on line order.. 1 star read more

This place kinda sucked overall. It took almost 20 to 25 mins to get our food. We weren't the only ones either as everyone waited for quite a long time. We got our burger and buffalo chicken sandwich first and our cheese fries came out to us well after we finished them. The burger was nothing special for a burger joint. The chicken sandwich was actually better. Both were extremely small and there was like nothing to it. Cheese fries were good since they use real cheese which is always a plus. Food is very good. BUT! Make sure you check your order before you leave! I've ordered pick up twice now. And both times my order was wrong. The first time I caught it. But just now. I didn't get my order of fries, which they charged me for. And I didn't get the dipping sauce that we asked for. And my dads cheeseburger didn't have cheese on it. Which we also requested. So make sure everything is actually done right before you leave! But other then that. The food is delicious, when they get it right! Edit.. We have been regular customers here since they opened and over the past year have watched this place fall hard. The last two times we did take out orders it took them almost an hour to fill them, when they said 20 minutes. The one time we went in, they brought us our fries and onion rings ten minutes before our burgers and we never did get our milkshakes. This last time, it was pretty evident the three kids working had no clue what they were doing and just running around with no order. Time for a new burger place! read more

Considering I've lived close to the Thorndale area for thirteen years, its nice to see something other then a pizza joint and that came in handy especially when I worked within the shopping strip its located in, nice little dash up the shopping center. Service is definitely good here, always greeted, you can always see the managers either helping the staff prepare meals or checking on the customers. Food comes out cooked to order and it has a five guys feel with the customization with the burgers and hot dogs. I love the burgers and its always a good meal to have either on the go or when your just looking for a decent burger. I've called in plenty of times and its either ready when I get there or its being bagged up as soon as I walk in the door, only thing I'd have to complain about is that the bag gets greasy after a few minutes but that's typical fried food I guess. I will admit, this place did have a rocky start to it (called in to order on a Saturday when my family and I did a take out night), took maybe...forty five minutes for it to come to me, even after I called ahead (People who ordered right there were getting out faster then I did), but they have improved greatly since they first opened their doors. The only thing I'd have to give them a gripe about is the pricing for their food, I mean I buy a burger, fries and soda combo and it comes out to a little over ten dollars, I mean I can go to the deli down the street from me, get the same food made exactly the same way and it comes out to two dollars cheaper. They have good food but for what they charge they need to be consistent. Sometimes great got everything that I asked for and then other times they forget dipping sauce or I ask for ketchup and mustard on my burger and I have a dry Burger. read more

Ordered online at 4:45pm. The order said it would be ready at 5:15. We sent our son to pick it up ... he arrived at 5:25. The order was not there. The people that worked there claimed they never received it. I sent my son a picture of the email confirmation number from my iPad. After 15+ minutes, he called back saying people were yelling at each other and no order was found. He asked for a picture of the order. I sent it from my iPad. 15 minutes after that, I looked at my phone and saw a missed call from Jake's asking what we wanted in place of Irish Nachos b/c they didn't have the chips to make it. My husband called them asking why they told our son they never got the order when they called 22minutes after the order was placed and 8 minutes before my son arrived at the store. The man who talked to my husband refused to compensate us and said they would "try" to refund us for the Irish Nachos. We were frequent customers...NOT ANY MORE! read more

We stopped in for lunch last weekend and it was good. Food is cooked to order, nothing sits under heat lamps here. I had a chicken sandwich which was pretty tasty. Everything was fresh. I also had the fat free milk shake which was just ok. My husband had a burger and fries and he said they were good. The burger was a bit on the thin side, and there weren't a lot of fries. The place is little small inside. They do have a website that allows you to order and pick up. May try that. read more

Their homemade chips are awesome - not oversalty and greasy! Burgers okay I prefer 5 guys but this is closer to home. Never had fries so I can't rate those. O-rings too thick...not homeade prob frozen supplier...not getting again. Their orange cream shake is my fav since McD artic orange is too sweet and gaggy. Prices a little high IMO so I don't go too often. read more

Went to Exton Jake's (Summer 2011) and have not returned d/t bad experience; poor food - owner at thorndale interested in our dining experience; appreciated his interest. Thorndale owner shared that Jakes has changed food suppliers since our last visit to Exton (1+ year ago) -- I recommend the food now! Milkshake = awesome. Way overpriced for mediocre burgers. So over-sauced it was near inedible. For the price (~$30 for 2 burgers with fries) you'd get a higher quality dining experience at a place like Red Robin. For the same quality of food, go to Wendys - cheaper and more delicious. read more

Ordered the nachos (thought it was interesting that they served them!) and a milkshake. I really just wanted a milkshake because my throat has been killing me. I called to ask if they could put sour cream on the side with the nachos, the first person said she didn't have my order yet and couldn't help me (I used door dash). I said that's ok I just wanted to see if when you got it you could put sour cream on the side-silence on the other end and then the person I guess handed the phone to someone else. The next person said "if you type it in we will read it" with a nasty attitude. Then I said oh ok well I just figured I'd call and ask to which she replied "we don't have sour cream" and hung up the phone. I was surprised to see they served nachos so it's not a big deal but if you ARE going to serve nachos how on earth are you not going to have the condiments that come as the sides to them????
