Buggs Bunny said it's Duck Season, and this one did not die in vain! Jesus and his team were absolutely wonderful, we could see they were all smiles, even behind the masks. The duck was truly the best duck I've ever had. Succulent, savory, roasted/grilled? to perfection! The cherries were on the level of those delicious morsels used in a quality Old Fashioned. The asparagus had a hint of smokiness and the entire stalk was easy to eat, and the salad was crisp and fresh. If that wasn't enough they surprised me with the Tres Leches Bread Pudding decorated on the plate like a face! Only a face a mother could love? Not a chance, soooo delicious! Even as good as the food is, this place is lacking and there are probably better places you could find in Estes Park. Three of our four orders were wrong (wrong fries, missing fries, and wrong entrée), and flies abounded. My order (the one that was all right, The Wayfinder burger) was actually pretty good, though nothing to write home about. After being in Colorado for a few days I began to feel the effects of altitude sickness. I needed something that wouldn't be too spicy or too seasoned since I was still feeling a little nauseous and had not been able to eat since 2 days before. So far 2nd trip and this time maybe have done it for me. The was a little wait which is fine. However the restrooms are right by the waiting area. The waiting area has 4 individual chairs so a bit weird and a horrible smell was coming from that area. Ended determining it was coming from the restrooms. Once we we're seated I could smell it. I was hoping to get brunch but the menu was the lunch menu. Almost every sandwich or salad was $17-22 or more. We ordered a Cobb Salad and Monte Cristo with Sweet Potato fries. The salad looked good just very little lettuce and my wife didn't like the blue cheese dressing. My sandwich was barely warm on what I would consider thick sweet bread like French toast. The raspberry preserve came in a cup that had the indentions of the lid. Sweet potato fries were barely warm like the sandwich. When we get the bill, the same as the first trip they charged $1 extra for the SPF. The over charged for both of our meals. The waitress was pleasant and gladly removed the charges. Just that she said they always charge extra, but the menu says differently. So basically everyone gets charged extra and the menu is wrong. I'm just thinking, I know this is a tourist town and I know the service industry is demanding more but the prices are too high. I mean $40 for a salad and sandwich with water is too much for average meal. We will come back to give the breakfast/brunch a try and with an opened mind read more

We had our late nite Wednesday dinner , a party of four with reservations at a nice side table, let me say first our waiter " Cody" is really good and highly " acknowledgeable" of the menu and wine list of the restaurant , we recommend that if you dine here, get " Cody " as your "BEST " waiter there at Wayfinder . Let us say that me and my fiancé were all so Happy with our entrees, I got fish and chips and she got blackened salmon, ohh so Great . !!! I have to say mine entree was overall, one of the top Three " Fish and chips " ever I had in the many years and I'm a retired Navy chef. One small thing, the wine is being served in the wrong glasses, please look into this, we go to wineries in Temecula/ San Diego, see our pictures. A hidden gem for sure. This restaurant has a good variety of choices. I had one of their specials. The Smoked Salmon Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was delicious and the eggs were cooked to perfection. My friend got the Traditional French Toast. It was awesom, and with out spoiling their secret, it was th best french toast she has ever had. Brenda was our waitress and she was on top of it. Always smiling, made sure we were taken care of and made our experience excellent. We plan on going there for lunch and dinner. The food was ok, and the service was friendly and accommodating. I LOVE that we could have our dog on the patio with us, and quite frankly that's a serious selling point that will likely keep us coming back .The biggest challenge I saw with this restaurant was the advertisement of a ton of gluten free options on the menu only to find out they weren't actually gluten free. They don't use a separate fryer for the fries and onion rings... which means they aren't actually gluten free plain and simple. If your fries are coming out of the frier with onion ring batter on them it's a little more than potential cross contamination, it's full on gluten. I just felt like it was a little bit of false advertising for those of us with food allergies who select restaurants based on things like gluten free options. To be honest I wasn't thrilled with the shrimp cocktail either, the shrimp were warm and the "cocktail sauce" was marinara (weird in my opinion). The steak was fine and whatever my husband ate seemed to keep him satisfied as well. Again, I think we will keep coming back now that we figured out items that we can actually eat on the menu, but I just wish they took more precautions... or didn't advertise like this. read more

I wish I could comment on the food, but we didn't even get that far. We were stopping in with our 6-week old baby after an outing at RMNP. We were hoping to be seated in a booth. I'm a new mom and nursing was still a bit of a challenge. I knew we would come up on a feeding time and I didn't want to be exposed in everyone's plain view. It was about 4:30pm and the place was practically empty. There was a party seated in a booth, but we were told that section was closed off. In the open section, we were offered a booth in the center of the room (no wall) which didn't work for us. The manager was called to see if we could be seated in an open booth by a wall, and he said no. We left disappointed and wondering how that place makes money turning people away. I didn't see any "Reserved" signs on the tables and the place looked like it could seat 100 people easily. There were about 4 parties in the restaurant that day. Conclusion: Very unaccommodating and poor management. Won't find my way back to this place! read more

This review is for breakfast specifically. We had breakfast here two years ago and breakfast here last week and both times it was wonderful. The savory and sweet dishes are all good- from the Benedict to the Elvis pancakes to even just the oatmeal- all great. So definitely include this in your breakfast plans if you are in town. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Note- We had dinner here since the breakfast was so good, and it was terrible. It's like a whole different restaurant. The menu looked great. We had beef stroganoff, trout and spaghetti and meatballs. Only the spaghetti and meatballs were decent. The trout was fishy and very plain.
