If you are serious about getting a "therapeutic" Thai massage, this is the place to go in Houston. They are MASTERS, and it's the "real deal." I am astonished at how gifted their feet are...they are as dexterous as their hands and can get to the source of any dysfunction in your joints and muscles that are the root of your pain or stiffness. If you've never experienced a Thai massage, you owe it to yourself to try it. The gifted therapists hold themselves up by supports in the ceiling, which allow them to apply pressure using the weight of their bodies. It's kind of a fascinating process. Only the "best of the best" can do a real Thai massage. It's a helluva work out for them, as well. You can tell them "more pressure" or "less pressure" and they ask the entire time "are you doing OK?" I appreciated this continuous desire to ensure I was comfortable. If you're looking for a "fru-fru," do-nothing massage in a fancy, expensive spa, this is not the place for you. If you want to have real "therapy," which will allow you to stand up straighter, have more energy and feel better the next day, call them for an appointment right away. Needed a last minute massage because of a tension migraine. She got me in right away. It is hard to find someone to give enough pressure to ease tension migraines, however the massage therapist did just that! She did include some stretching and light massage to make it a complete massage but did exactly as I asked and needed. Very comfortable table with large bedding and music was enjoyable. Love this place. They are actually Thai masseuses who know what they are doing. They actually will walk on your back properly with the ceiling beam to help stabilize pressure. 1-star review. I hate to break the 5-star review. The staff is very kind. I have been traveling and also visited many places to get a massage. In fact, I've been to over 40 different places throughout the U.S. as well as places overseas. For deep tissue massage, this is the place (ex. like if you're an athlete or a laborer). However, if you're looking for a relaxed and nice quiet environment to enjoy a peaceful massage, this is not the place for you. I came here with 2 of my friends and we found out afterward that all 3 of us received different services. I didn't even get a hot towel, whereas my other friend even got a hot stone treatment. They barely use any oil and so it was a bit painful for my skin because of the friction. Another thing that was strange was how the owner and the employees at the end of the massage sesh bragged about how hard the masseuses worked and that we better give GREAT tip. It felt like we were obliged to tip. It's one thing to suggest tipping. It's another to keep us in the lobby and waiting for us to tip $20 each. read more

The staff at We Are Thai is outstanding. I recently went in for a massage just hours after running a half marathon. When I walked in, my legs were aching and wobbling. An hour later, I walked out with most of the soreness gone and my range of motion greatly expanded. My masseuse employed a variety of techniques, including stretching, deep tissue, and walking on my back while holding on to ceiling bars. The level of pressure she achieved was unbelievable, and she was happy to go lighter upon request. I also liked the atmosphere of the business, and parking was easy. I cannot express to you how body-altering these massages are. I came in for my first time yesterday and the ladies led me to a private room to get undressed and under the sheets. They will not rush you either or barge in like my other experiences. A full hour of stretching and intense, muscle massaging followed by a softer, cool down session much like what you do at the end of yoga.
