Tom came out and did a thorough inspection including conning hazmat gear and crawling around the crawl space under my house to see if he could find openings where the critters might have entered. Nothing there at all. So after examining the perimeter of my house and identifying a couple of possible entry points, he went up on the roof. There he found an opening near the roof vents, found both mouse and rat droppings. A few days later Alvin came to place a one-way trap...a rodent could exit but not re-enter. He also sealed other openings nearby so it had to go out the trap to get food and water. The plan was to return within a week. I actually heard a rodent go out the trap and try to re-enter but couldn't. The gnawing stopped right then. I still heard scratching, which stopped after 5 days. Alvin came back, removed the trap and fully sealed the opening, then moved the trap to another area. He'll return in a week to fully seal that area and hopefully exclusion will be complete. I was particularly impressed by both Tom and Alvin's deep knowledge about rodent behavior, and their enjoyment at sharing their wisdom. And I was also impressed by the thorough inspection that Tom gave as part of the free consultation. Problem hopefully solved permanently, but at least now I know where to turn. And knowing there is no sign of holes in the crawl space helps me feel much more secure. Thank you!

Going through a refinance and had to get a termite inspection quickly. I called Hitmen because…read morethey had done an inspection of my house for the prior owners, so their number was handy. They scheduled my appointment quickly, and on the day of the appointment, the inspector Steve arrived as scheduled. He found dry rot in three places, which needed to be repaired for my VA loan, but no evidence of termites. I elected to have Hitmen do the work after a few phone calls revealed that no one else would be available to even give me a quote in the time required, much less get the work done to keep my refinance on track. The repair crew arrived exactly on time, and got to work. They were courteous from the start and efficient. Unfortunately, one of the areas of dry rot turned out to be termites once the fascia boards were pulled. They showed it to me, and explained all my options for treatment. Thankfully, the infestation was well contained, so they were able to spot treat the area. All of the work was completed within a day, and looked good. The only thing that keeps me from giving them 5 stars is that they will prime, but not paint. One area needed stucco repair, so that couldn't be painted for a few days, but the trim could have been. Easy enough for me to do, but would be nice to have that included in the service.

They don't synch their appointment books. Since they have to enter my house I need to know approx when they are coming but verifying is hard. The guys who come out are nice, but they are confounded and confronted about the dysfunctions. Yeah, I should have looked for a smaller company to do the work, but now that the rats are excluded I think we will go on our own and get our own black boxes. Its not rocket science but we absolutely do not want to use poison and kill local birds.
