This is a true and rare gem in Cannon Beach. It's not for everyone, but for those who want an amazing view, a friendly staff and a good night's rest, you can't beat Webb's. It's the last of a dying breed: family owned small business who never sold out to corporate buy outs, and maintains a simple, but very homey motel that is incredibly clean... The lodging highlight of our Oregon coast trip (3 towns, 3 nights). Quick, easy checkin. Nice lady at desk. I didn't have great expectations for a view room and what we received was the most amazing set of views (River and ocean). Room 25, second floor. Nice hotel, prices of course prices get a bit high during the summer in Cannon Beach and especially during Covid times but I would definitely return. The parking lot is tight, but I found a spot down the street and there were a couple open spots in the back as well. My room was a bit dated as expected but overall quite comfy and wi-fi worked well. And pretty darn good views of the beach & ocean from my balcony - you can't see Haystack Rock but there's a nice view of Ecola Creek. The room was set up with a small refrigerator as well as a few plates & silverware which were sufficient for a short stay with 1-2 people. The bed could have used some extra pillows (beyond the "decorative" pillows which typically aren't cleaned and I would never sleep on) and there were a few shortcomings but the people were incredibly friendly and the room was retro but nice. Very glad I got to stay here during high season in Cannon Beach, it's walking distance to MANY restaurants, bars, etc. and about a mile to Haystack Rock if you want to head there (which I recommend). Nice family run place which is great to support, it will likely be a good choice for many when visiting Cannon Beach. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place. The owner is a Doll! So is his sister who comes in to man the desk. His other gal that runs the desk has been with him for 25 yrs. no joke. These room are comfortable, some might think they are dated but I absolutely love it. You have very large rooms with fireplaces and kitchens, to a large room with large bathrooms. And clean! He always is jiving around there cleaning and doing maintenance and the gals who clean also look after the flowers around the place. It feels like a home because he lives on site. You want a chill, comfortable place to relax and unwind from the stress of life. Go here. Prices vary during the year and sometime the inert will even drop prices for you on the fly, especially if you stay for two days. And he always has great recommendations, so ask! The view here... you won't get a better one. You don't see Haystack from here, but a simple walk and its right there. Another great thing is that you can have fires right there in the beach right in front of your room. Just remember to kill the fire before you leave it. Oh, one other thing. There's a deck up too in the second floor. Where I love to stay. The sunny days and calm evenings, this is a great place to sit and read, talk with your hunny and have some wine. read more

Beware beware! My husband and I stayed at this hotel. We left a review and the owner called us up very aggressive! He said he didn't appreciate the part of our review that stated that the bed was hard as a rock. It was! It was like sleeping on the floor. Jimmy preceded to tell me that his motel was going up for sale and that this review didnt help. I stated i was sorry but the review was very accurate of the property. Bugs in the room, small for the money you pay. Bed was hard in Room #5. He was very rude and made accusations to us and we are in our late 50s! I had to hang up on him. I read past reviews and he has gotten aggressive with other people as well. Spend your money elsewhere. Lots of nice places to stay for a whole lot cheaper. read more

My wife and I had a wonderful three night getaway here and, while the place isn't 100% perfect, we will definitely be coming back. First for the bad (which isn't really bad): this place is a bit older and some of the decor is dated and bit cheesy. And that's really it. Now for the good. Although a bit dated, everything worked perfectly and was very clean. From my vantage point on a second floor common deck, I could see the owner personally attending to many of the rooms and the property in general. He obviously takes pride in the place. Location. The location is amazing. First, you're right on the ocean and pretty much all of the rooms have ocean views. There is a large grass community sitting area immediately next to the beach, as well as a second floor community deck with chairs, a bench, and a table that affords a wonderful view of the beach and Terrible Tilly (a lighthouse). Second, you're just a block or two from the Cannon Beach commercial area (restaurants, coffee shops, stores, etc). We didn't have to move our car until we wanted to go to Ecola State Park. Finally, the wifi here is amazing. I know you're supposed to unplug when you hit the coast, but I have a monthly zoom call with my high school classmates that I took from the second floor deck. Many hotels advertise free wifi and then totally let you down. What good is free wifi when there's only single access point. And that access point is situated at the bottom of a 100 feet steel well casing? At Webb, the bandwidth was excellent. In fact, halfway through my call, a guy walked up the stairs to the deck to ask me how the service was. It turns out that he designed the wifi network and was checking on the quality of the signal. That's good service. As we packed our stuff up, my wife and I were already talking about when we would come back later this year. read more

A little slice of heaven on the beach. It's an idyllic location where you can easily stroll to town and the beach is just outside your sliding door. Amenities are quirky and cozy and very clean. I can not say enough good things about this little gem. The people that work here are beyond nice. I had originally made a reservation for my daughter & I and, seeing since she is a teenager, at the last minute she asked if she could bring a friend. The room I had booked was only for 2 people so it was pretty tiny & since I didn't want her friend to have to sleep on the floor all weekend, I went down the next morning, talked to the extremely nice lady in the front office & she said she'd speak to the owner & see what they could do. I got a text 10 minutes later asking me to return ASAP. She had spoken to the owner & they had found us a bigger room with a better view (though all the rooms have a great view)! We ran into the owner outside so we all 3 thanked him for accommodating us so graciously. We will definitely be back! read more

It was everything everyone else has said, but was disappointed with as much as they charge per night that they did not change linens. I had an injury before coming and staying here of a broken nose. After staying one night and going out for breakfast and shopping we came back and I was moving my pillows and there was blood still on my pillow cases. Which I didn't realize that happened as I was sleeping. So pillow cases were not changed. What else was not changed? I understand going green but that should have been done. The owner after having one bad thing happen after another had snapped at me and told me he did not want to talk to me. I was stunned but figured he just had a bad moment. The thing was he didn't even apologize until I went up to him to make sure it wasn't personal. I did like the comfy bed and the cute touches, that it was so close to shops and restaurants. The room had huge windows and sliding glass door for a full unobstructed oceanfront/beach view. The room was absolutely spotless, very comfortable and roomy and the shower was great. We stayed there in November of 2018 and were charged $116 a night. We then decided to make another trip and go two weeks later in December. We spoke with a female on the phone and were quoted $99 a night, great off we went!! Unfortunately it was a disaster because instead of admitting they had made a mistake by charging us over $200 a night the gentleman became very aggressive in the emails and basically said he can charge whatever he wants, it's Cannon Beach!!! Still have the email and basically for the rundown rooms it's not worth it!! Make sure you get a confirmation email before you stay for proof of cost of room especially since none of their rooms even go for that rate in WINTER!!!! read more

Stayed here twice in the last five years, and both times were great. It's tucked away at the northernmost point of Cannon Beach, so it's easier to miss than some of the other ritzier places, but it's cozy. The rooms are definitely dated and have a very '70s feel to them with some early '90s garnishings, but they're comfortable and clean and there is a lovely patio space for the rooms that faces the ocean. They are literally right on the beach, so that is a definite plus, and the view is to die for. It's very conveniently located too, as everything in downtown Cannon Beach is a block away. Bottom line is, if you can deal with some decor that will remind you of your early '90s upbringing (or perhaps your early '70s upbringing), this is a clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced place to stay. The dated rooms did bring out my inner interior designer, but other than that, this place is very laid back. read more

We have been staying at Webb's for years and make a point to stay a week in the early fall every year. The location is spectacular. The rooms open onto a grassy area above the beach and to a stairway onto the beach, with a view northwest of Tillamook Rock, Ecola Creek and a beautiful stretch of beach and coastline. You can't see Haystock Rock from the property -- for that you have to walk two minutes onto the beach. It's two blocks to the main section of downtown and all of the restaurants and stores. The place has been able to maintain its 40s motor lodge feel but has been updated just enough. The rooms are always clean, and some are pet-friendly (we always get the same room at the north end of the first floor). The owners and managers are terrific. Prices are very reasonable, particularly considering the view and location. We have stayed up and down the Oregon coast over 20 years, and this is our favorite place -- we don't even think about going elsewhere anymore. read more

I've been coming to the Oregon Coast forever, share a place in Seaside, and stayed here for the first time this weekend while judging the Miss Clatsop County Scholarship Program contest. Wow - what an unexpected treat! The blonde woman at the front desk met me with a smile that could warm any heart! Hidden on a dead end, you have direct views of the ocean, kitchens, adorable porches, super clean, a bed so comfy you don't want to get out of it, and guest books in the room that show people have been returning here year after year. I had a 16-hour day yesterday, slept in this morning, and after a walk on the beach with wind & rain in my hair and a coffee cup in hand (coffee maker and plenty of coffee in the room), I ran into the owner Jimmy who was sweeping and cleaning up outside. He offered to let me extend my checkout time to make it easier for me - so hospitable, and clearly loves this family property. There is nothing like seeing an owner still doing the real labor to keep a place running smooth! I recommend this place for anyone who wants a quiet escape - couples, singles and small families. Great location! It's beach front and the very end of the beach. Lots of privacy! And we did bonfire and s'mores every night just right outside our room. We were located in the ground floor. No one above us. This is family owned business and met one of the owners who was super nice and accommodating. The room is cute even though dated so for that I will give the location and the room overall FIVE STARS. The 4 stars came from little things I have observed. But this is just my own opinion. As I've mentioned, room was clean and cute. It's cozy too with a little deck outside your door with table and chairs. You can sit there have a drink overlooking the ocean. However, there were red pillows on the bed with red and floral pillow cases, just wasn't sure if they were decorative pillows that haven't been washed so I didn't use those pillows. It just looks so dated and old and the comforter as well. They have a couple of white pillows that we used that seemed cleaned and washed. I'm just not sure of the red and floral pillow cases make it looks so old and not washed. Also the heater thermostat was on the floor and the temperature was hard to figure out. No space in the shower to put your shampoo, conditioner etc. Hopefully they change the pillows and blankets and comforters to just white instead of the old red blanket that reminds you of grandma's. hence the four stars. But the location and coziness of the room and full size fridge, microwave and stove, 5 stars. read more

We loved this hidden gem of a hotel! We were a walk-in and ended up staying a couple of nights because the view off of our balcony couldn't be beat at the price. My husband and I showed up around 7 pm on a Thursday in January with no reservation. The owner (family owned and operated) was very friendly, gave us a chance to see the room before deciding, and offered us an ocean front room at a great discount (we tried another hotel in the area and the rate was much higher for no view). The room was cozy, quiet, clean, and comfortable. We sat on our back porch listening to the ocean. In the morning we were very pleased to see the amazing view of the ocean, river, lighthouse, etc. Very easy beach and town access. You can walk anywhere in the downtown area in minutes. Perfect for a winter/off-season overnight (I imagine it would be great in the summer too if you don't mind more people and noise). If ever we plan to return to Cannon Beach we would definitely start by looking here. read more

I was still charged a $275 Debosit, because I didn't not give them 14 days. So buyer beware.
