There is nothing to fault this place! The filet and prime rib are without compare. Superb service and nice quiet ambience. Kelly took great care of us. We've been going here for our anniversary for years and have never been disappointed. The menu is not huge, but they prepare everything perfectly, and you cannot fault any steak they prepare. Sides are included in the pricing, which is not common anymore at a good restaurant. I usually don't leave reviews, but the miso Seabass was the best fish I've ever had in my life! The sauce was amazing! The fish was not too strong and melted in my mouth. This morning at 8:30AM on May 28th 2023, in a restaurant that was 3/4 empty, I made a request to sit at booth away from other customers. Unfortunately, the person whose job it was to walk me to a table (not the person greeting new arrivals just inside the front door) and the floor manager denied my request stating, unbelievably, that there was a reservation at the very booth that I was requesting but that "they would be happy to seat me" right next to another customer in a mostly empty restaurant. Unfortunately the server stated (just prior to the manager) an entirely different reason for not being to offer me a quiet location. While I have had many positive experiences at this restaurant, when one goes to moderately upscale restaurant, the expectation is that modest out of the box requests will be humored. read more

Webers for Easter Brunch. If you're after bland, lukewarm, unsatisfying food, head over to Webers. The brunch was beyond boring, the meats were grisly and cold. So uninspired. If you're going to serve simple recipes, that's ok- i get that you're playing to the middle here, but at least ensure it's top notch. And warm! It was like an extended version of a Comfort Inn complimentary breakfast. Barf. The waffle station was decent but they were making 4 mini waffles every 3 minutes, so the wait was ridiculous. Been here many times alway outstanding expect for yesterday. Very disappointing and dissatisfied. My ribeye was substandard, potatoes were cold, French fry's were limp, cold slaw was warm, wine ordered with dinner was ignored waiter failed to check back when our entree was delivered, so needless to say a subpar dinner experience was not addresses. we finally got a little more water when desert menus were presented. After considering many excellent restaurants in our town for our 37th Wedding Anniversary dinner, my wife and I decided on Weber's, a long time favorite of ours. In business since 1937, Weber's operates both a boutique hotel and award winning restaurant from this location on the west side of Ann Arbor. After bicycling a grueling 20 miles earlier today, we figured we had burned enough calories to split three tempting entrees to take home and enjoy on our deck. We started with an order of Weber's Prime Rib, a signature dish here and a classic not only in A2 but throughout Southeastern Michigan. We ordered another one of Weber's classics with the Miso Sea Bass. It had a deliciously delicate flavor and a full, meaty consistency with almost no fishy taste or smell....highly recommended! We were also intrigued with and subsequently ordered the Seafood Linguini. It too, was an awesome and delicious treat. With this review, I'm upgrading my rating of Weber's all the way to 5 stars based on the quality of their cuisine coupled with impeccable service...a west side classic! read more

Came in tonight for a graduation dinner, party of 8. Service was great. Our waitress was super polite and my was was always full! Food was good overall everyone was very happy with their meals, what the hot and how it was cooked. At first look I felt that my piece of salmon was much smaller than expected, or maybe should have been on not such a large plate. However it was very tasteful and I was not left hungry. The Mac and cheese, however, was missing something, it just tasted like butter and cream on the noddles, needed some seasoning or cheese for some taste, it was a little bland for me. read more

We started with fresh succulent, plump oysters, served both with horseradish cocktail sauce and mignonette sauce. Weber's crab cakes are moist and flavorful. We loved Their classic French Onion soup! I also love their Bibb lettuce salad with citrus, beets, fennel and their brown derby dressing. We also enjoyed Weber's renown perfectly cooked, delicious horseradish encrusted prime rib. The one dish that wasn't up to par for us was the seafood linguini. The wine list is fantastic and I love the 8 oz pours. The live jazz pianist during dinner added to the wonderful ambience. Weber's is a great classic restaurant with terrific ambiance and service! Breakfast is also noteworthy. The Brie and asparagus omelette is delicious. I love their Dearborn breakfast sausages. I am missing the brûlée'd grapefruit and hope that this comes back on the menu! This was an alternative to another restaurant in Ann Arbor. We were visiting the city for my uncle's 96 birthday and we were surprising him. This was our first time eating here . Since it was still happy hour , my cousin recommended some items worth ordering. The spinach bread was very tasty. The calamari was ordinary but still okay. As far as the entrees, members of the family ordered the beef ribs from the lunch special. I sampled some my wife's ribs and they were very tender and tasty. I ordered the kale chopped salad with a piece of salmon. Either I missed the quoted size of the salmon filet or it wasn't specified but man that 4 oz. piece of salmon was tiny on top of that large salad. The salad and salmon was very good . The server, Madeline, brought out bread, crackers and the delicious salmon pate. I had never heard of salmon pate but I understand that it is an area favorite. We were a party of 8 and we were accommodated well. There was some mix up when it came time to pay the bill, but it was worked out. I didn't get the managers name but he and the chef bent over backwards for a fried oyster request. We were told that there is music sometimes, sounds like a good atmosphere. This spot is our family's go-to local spot for any sort of special occasion dinner or just for a treat. During COVID, it was for mother's day so I ordered from this place for takeout a couple days in advance. The order pickup was pretty easy, you call them when you arrive and they'll tell you where to pull up your car to pick up outside. The food: we got cranberry duck, rosemary steak, and crab cakes. The cranberry duck was good, slightly sweet and slightly gamey but tender. The rosemary steak was full of juice and delicious. Crab cakes had big chunks of crab and had really good texture. There was also a nicely packed personal cranberry salad for appetizer as well as bread for the table to share. Weber's has been an Ann Arbor Classic for well over sixty years, so admittedly there's not a lot of surprises, even for Covid. That said, it is the first time I have been here for breakfast and not done the buffet - because there sadly is none due to Michigan's Covid-rules against them. Enough with the negative though - there's enough of that in this old world these days. Let's get to the good stuff - food. Even though some old standby's aren't available (Bagel and Lox, Huevos Rancheros) the "Covid" breakfast menu (picture included) is still stocked with goodies. I went for the Eggs Benedict - which was fabulous. The hash browns were crispy, the eggs poached perfectly, ham was Devine. For me though, in these stressful times, it's the relaxed atmosphere. You can't beat eating breakfast in a high class setting with a damn good lounge piano player in the background.....life is about enjoying the simple, and maybe not so simple....but this made my day. My friend who's a Michigan native recommended Weber's to me, so X and I made plans to visit on my first day visiting. I had made reservations a few weeks in advance and we were seated right away. We happily stumbled upon Ann Arbor Restaurant Week, so we both opted for that menu. For $28, you get 4 courses - your choice of appetizer, house salad or soup of the day, an entree, and a dessert. You also get a delicious homemade bread basket with soft butter and salmon pate. We ate way too much bread! I opted for the Mini Beef Wellingtons, house salad, 10 oz Prime Rib of Beef, and Mini Brownie Sundae. Everything was fantastic - super tasty and very filling. The Prime Rib comes with a side of baked potato - but they were able to swap it out for mashed potatoes instead. Service was attentive and friendly. I also had a Moscow Mule that was really good - and cheap too! Honestly, RW here is a fantastic bargain and I highly recommend it if you can catch it next year. read more

Poisoning guests - Since 1937 they're still poisoning seniors. How? They keep serving Sweeteners that are damaging brains and causing early deaths. I come every weekend and ask for stevia and always get the same answer "I'll suggest it to the Manager" ya sure. The prime rib was a little tough and didn't have a lot of flavor. The steamed lobster was also a little tough. The clam chowder was too salty and had too many large potato chunks. She walked with me to my car and spent 15 minutes working to figure out my complicated gas can. I cannot appreciate her and her customer service enough! Wow. I took my son and friends here for a night out since they have been eating cafeteria food at a local college. The food was incredible. We started with the calamari and escargot and had entrees. Two of the young men had seafood pasta. One of them ate it down so quickly that I didn't even realize he was done. I enjoyed the beef stroganoff. The escargot and Caesar salad were both very good. However, the entrees were disappointing. I ordered a medium rib eye and although the taste was decent it was cooked to borderline well done. I'm on vacation this week, so for my wife's birthday we decided to go upscale and headed to Weber's to celebrate. She and I have a long history with the location, both in hotel stays and fine dining, and knew it would be good. We started with the bread basket, loaded with garlic toast, the softest, spongiest white bread (from their bakeshop), and matzo crackers. I can't get enough of the included smoked salmon pate. It's incredible with the crackers, truly can't get enough. During the pandemic, when the restaurant was closed, they sold and we bought many takeout tubs of the pate (along with other items), and I'm happy to report we were still able to order a half pound to go! For my main course, I had the 8 oz Filet Mignon, with the whipped potatoes, and a side of sauteed mushrooms. The filet came out on the lower side of medium, with a killer crust and strong pink, slightly warm, and flavorful inside... perfectly done. The potatoes and mushroom were as expected and paired nicely with the steak. Being lunchtime, the well-lit and quiet atmosphere didn't yet hold the magic of the dinner hours, where a live piano and dimly lit tables invite you to stay longer, but the service was top notch as usual. We skipped dessert (there was cake waiting at home), not that we had room for it anyway. After we ate, we headed on a trek down the stairs and through the halls, past the ballrooms, into the hotel portion of the building to reminisce with the sights and smells of the pool area, with the many poolside suite balconies and spiral staircases overlooking the atrium. Teri & I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights for a training seminar in the area. We ate here twice because it was convenient the first time, and because it was such a good place to eat the second time. It is an old school restaurant, meaning adult, and you don't expect screaming kids, which there weren't. The first night I had the hamburger she had the prime rib. Both out of this world. The second time we split the stroganoff, again outstanding. The service was excellent. If you get Nicholas, you will not be disappointed. He is outstanding and attentive. Where to start. On a positive note, the bartender was very nice and professional; though I almost walked out because I didn't see anyone for almost 10 mins. When he showed up, he asked for my drink order; I asked about happy hour. He wasn't sure about happy hour and I had to ask to see menus. No prices. So happy hour $.75 cents off doesn't mean squat if you can't see a price. Upon opening the menu, it's dirty, with dried colored liquid staining the pages. Complimentary pulled BBQ pork, rolls, and fried clams were at the buffet for happy hour. Clams were TOUGH and inedible. Rubber tires off a Hot Wheels would be less chewy. The Tarter sauce was sitting out in a bowl, no ice, curdling nicely next to the steam table. Bar clams aren't supposed to be tender and delicate but these were horrible. Hubs arrived and selected the London Broil Monday special for $8.50 and a craft beer. Good deal, nice plate w side of mashed potatoes. It was good meat and Au Jus. I also ordered spinach bread before hubs arrived and mussels when he ordered his food. The spinach bread finally arrived w the other food. Bartender said something about one being dropped in the kitchen but said he wasn't sure if that was my order or someone else's..... I think he forgot to enter it in the first place. The mussels. Half price for Monday happy hour. A small amount, sure, but they were over cooked and the foulest smelling, awful tasting and poorest quality of any mussels I have ever had before. I had three and put the lid back on, turned to my husband and he was green. He almost couldn't tolerate the horrible smell of them to eat his food. He shared his meal with me but my stomach hasn't stopped churning since. My husband is treating me like a ticking time bomb, sure I'm about to fall ill from those three mussels. Never again. I scanned the check and discovered happy hour house Chardonnay is $5.20 a glass. We paid and left disappointed. This visit would have been just a regular Monday evening w a couple hiccups but the poor quality of the mussels, fried clams, and timing, really puts Webers in a bad light for us to return anytime soon. read more

Solid all the way around. There is a reason their prime rib is famous. It was perfection! The lobster thermidor just melted in my mouth. I think my favorite part about this restaurant is that even though it is a nice upscale atmosphere, kids are welcome. Not only are kids welcome, the menu is diverse enough to have foods that the kids devoured as well! You have no idea how hard it is to find nice places to eat that is also kid friendly. Was staying here for a conference. Stayed in the first night and ate here. After traveling all day it was nice to have a good steak. The wait staff were really attentive and meal was served to us as expected and ordered. The Peach Flan ...if it's on the menu ...do yourself a favor, make me jealous and order it! To say it was amazing is a tragic understatement! If I stay here at this hotel again, I'd eat here.
