Such a fun concept!!! My husband and I hit up WedgeHead for a date night and I am so glad we did. We had drinks and than hit the pin ball machines hard! We probably spent an hour plus spending $10 in quarters and had a blast with the mix of vintage and new pinball games. The staff was super friendly and it's an extremely relaxed atmosphere. My favorite part was that WedgeHead welcomes under 21 before 6PM which seems fantastic: I wish that I had a place like this to hang out after school! I also appreciate that they keep it adult after 6 so that we can get our fun on. Would highly recommend checking this spot out for a great time!!! read more

Good food and ambiance. However, make sure you go there with enough money to tip. I don't make a whole lot and just wanted to have a fun night out with my wife cause we actually had the rare chance to do so. We spent over $100 and didn't leave a tip because money's a bit tight at the beginning of the month. One of the bartenders was rude about it and ranted that they use the tips to pay their cooks and we are basically taking money out of their pockets by not tipping. That is a ridiculous claim. If true, they are incompetent at best and exploitative at worst. I paid for the food and drink and use of the pinball machines. If you can't run your business at those prices, find a solution to that issue that doesn't involve mocking your customers. read more

funky place. Super cool to see a pinball bar and the Wedge of Sandy Blvd. and I-84. Name is catchy so, when I had some free time and was in the hood - I was like, gotta do it. They have some parking options that if you are so inclined and see the signage you can take advantage of the lot nearby. I just parked street. Found my way in to a loudish space. I stepped up to counter and got a Pfriem Pale. I sat at bar and just watched everything around me. All ages of folks at pinball, sitting at bar, sitting in booths. Lots to look at and the menu seemed pretty progressive, like maybe a vegan lean - liked the variety. I was just there for the beer. Clean facilities, generally good vibe/service. Delicious burgers- the meat with the caramelized onions and mushrooms were really tasty. I do miss the burger they used to have on the menu with the fried spam and egg on top, I hope they bring that back! You will be hard pressed to find a better burger in Portland right now. Slow Bar was up there on our list but we just had WedgeHead and damn, they are truly next level. The Dangerfield is crazy good. We love Wedgehead so much. The food is incredible. I crave their curry ketchup almost more than the burgers, which are outstanding themselves. They always leave funny notes in our order too, which is just one of those small joys that really endear you to a place. I had their horchata (it was awesome) the other week and it came in a glass jar with an awesome WedgeHead sticker on it, clearly made for purpose (kind of like a label more than a sticker so it's able to be washed without falling apart). C-Bar was a good start, but WedgeHead nails it. 20+ pins, ranging from wedgeheads (!) to the newest Sterns, some good pub food and some good drinks. Owner Chris Rhodes was there tinkering with pinball machines. He took the time to greet us, told us a bit about the local league, collecting pinball machines, participating in tournaments, etc. He even gave us a few free games on my all-time favorite machine, Funhouse. The food and drinks were great, especially loved the wings. The staff was super friendly, and there were so many wonderful pinball machines I didn't know which way to turn. We probably went through two rolls of quarters. Love it, and hope to go back soon. read more

Solid crew, good eats, all the machines are in tip-top shape. Probably the best playing machines in all of Portland-quickly making Wedgehead one of my regular weekend haunts. One of my hopes (especially since it's all ages before 6pm) is that they'll bolster their N/A selections. I'm seeing more and more bars offering canned Italian sodas, canned Yerba maté, bottle kombucha-etc. I like my booze, but having other options besides Red Bull or soda from the gun would set this place over the top. read more
