Way better than the chestnut hill location. I just wished that their fresh bakery goods were covered. Easily the best place to chill with their big lounge...and that's with half of it closed off due to COVID! Staff is very nice with very few exceptions. Their spacious parking lot at the plaza there easily beats the other local markets...most have rather crampy lots where you swear you're going to be in a small accident of some type. The mailbox out front is key. It can be crowded if you can deal with that. People like going there obviously especially small families. Oh yeah if you get a sandwich they have Spicy Mayo! It's orange and quite awesome. I wish they had little containers of it or packets etc for when you get other stuff elsewhere like when you buy a breakfast sandwich at the cafe they have in a diff place around the corner. I love Wegmans. I cook a lot, and end up shopping here two-three times a week. Every single staff person there is incredibly kind and friendly. They are also really helpful with finding items (though now I use my Wegmans App, which is also incredible!!!). I've had many conversations with the meat and seafood guys, whom are very courteous and will actually give you good tips and suggestions on how to cook and pair various dishes. The wine/beer department has an incredible selection and the staff are knowledgeable. They have a kid's room to leave your little ones or to let them sit and play separately when you eat. This is an all over well-run and well-staffed establishment! read more

If your guilty pleasure is doughnuts- Nope!!! Bakery cutting corners! When this store opened-we shopped there and had religiously, our sneaky pleasure doughnuts- they "made" great doughnuts-so much so we made a special trip there. This past weekend we stopped for our usual dozen doughnuts(and $140 other shopping) when we returned home for Sunday coffee and doughnut- We were overwhelmingly disappointed as to what we found in the doughnuts. Every one of the doughnuts had toppings(coconut, icing, cinnamon etc) only on one side!!! What a HUGE reduction in quality!!! If this continues, we will not be dropping another dime at that store!! I did call customer service, he suggested maybe someone was making an "artisan" attempt with the donuts. Uh, not at my expense!!! Check before you buy!!!! I didn't and felt cheated..... Great prepared (chinese, pizza, italian, mediteranian), and semi prepared foods (got some marinated teriyaki salmon burgers, just cook them at home and boom done!) Very clean. Also, use their app! you punch everything in. It tells you the prices. And it will show them in order of what aisle they are on! Talk about a time saver! read more

Hands down the best supermarket in the area! Staff is always friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to help. Store is always clean and food is always fresh, especially meats and produce. We need to buy many gluten free items and have saved a lot of money each week at Wegmans. They have many of their own products and offer a large selection of products. A+! There are also many prepared items that are gluten free so it's always a nice option to have lunch before shopping, or to get takeout. Sushi is all gluten free, as are many of the Asian dishes and salad bar items. We were regular Wegmans customers when we lived in upstate New York, and are thrilled to have Wegmans nearby! read more

I have a love-hate relationship with Wegmans. I go here often since it is the closest grocery store to my house. This place can get crowded, like overwhelming crowded. There are a lot of people who seem to have all the time in the world on their hands when they shop here, I like to get in and out. I've come here when its been busy such as Sunday and items have been out of stock or very close, such as chicken or eggs which is unacceptable. I used to always buy the pre-packaged meals but they seem to have gone up in price but not portions. I probably will look elsewhere for these, Roche Bros' portions are more generous and cheaper. The prices are okay, there really aren't a lot of coupons of available unless its Wegmans brand. The grocery store is clean and beautiful, especially the flower arrangements. I do keep coming back and I don't have too many complaints. read more

We have been regularly going back to Wegmans in Northborough and have recently switched to their Westwood location since its close by our new residence. Comparing the two and given many similarities between the two stores, I must say the food and salad bar offers a wider selection of choices and cuisines at the Northborough location. Westwood store, however, has the winning edge when it comes to the sushi bar in my opinion. Another major difference between the two stores is that the one in Northborough offers a pretty wide and eclectic collection of liquors and booze, but at Westwood location they only sell wine and beer... beer choices are limited in comparison but wine selection keeps up with the other store. Overall I take one star off here. And dear Wegman's at Westwood, you lose another important star because of the less than Wegmans' standards treatment I received at the meat section during my most recent visit. I asked this gentleman named "K**" for 4 pounds of sirloin tips and emphasized on my interest in chunkier pieces as my intention was to chop them up into kabob sized pieces ... he said okay but I noticed a few flat pieces he indiscriminately picked ... when I asked him about it he said "I don't have any more right now" so I agreed to be happy with the less than perfect available option. At the cashiers, however I noticed my pack was mislabeled as teriyaki sirloin tips which was pound per pound $2 more expensive than nob-marinated steak tips on order above 4 lbs. So I had bring the item back to the meat section to correct the labeling... I found K and asked him about the discrepancy he made an apology and issued a new label that was ~$10 cheaper... it was at this point that I noticed they had loaded up the steak tips bucket with freshly looking chunky cuts... I was deeply disappointed at this point and I couldn't accept his second apology and explanation that it had just arrived in the store @5:30ish PM on a busy Friday. Dear Wegmans! As a regular customer of several years, I humbly encourage you to take more seriously the training of your senior staff about the customer-oriented nature of your business model, one that's based off of building loyalty and long-term relationships. read more

Very clean and well run and organized supermarket. The business hours, 6am- midnight just can't be beat. I'm an early morning shopper so this is right up my Ally. Their pre-made and packaged foods are fresh and convenient. Their hot food wells are always well-stocked and well-attended by the team members. The pizza and burger bars, as well as the sushi station are well-run and organized. Overall, the staff are terrifically friendly and professional. I have shopped at all the chains (Stop & Shop, Shaws, Big Y etc...) and this is by far the worst experience I ever had. Let me start off with the positives. They have a great selection of prepared meals. Almost everything has the nutrition value and a lot have bar-codes available for you to scan if you are using a food tracker app. The other positive about this place is there is tons of space so you never feel crowded when you are shopping like in most grocery stores. That being said most of the prepared food is overpriced and a lot more chains are selling prepared food at a cheaper price be it with less selections. When I went shopping last week they had little to no food in the store. They were out of: plain chicken breast, celery, pork shoulders, and a lot of shelves of produce were bare. No clue if a shipment was late or if it is normally like this, but the only time I've seen a grocery store this bare was when Market Basket was on strike. They also offer very little options for what they did have. Deli does not have reduced fat cheese or low sodium meats, eggs were not available in a half dozen, no light option for vegetable dressing/dips. And it wasn't like these products were out of stock, there just weren't places on the shelf for them. The deli told me they do not offer low sodium or reduced fat options. Speaking of the deli all the cold cuts are pre-sliced and the american cheese comes that way like Kraft singles. I like it cut thick but that wasn't even an option. For customer service I had to ask 3 different employee's where the sandwich bags are cause they did not know (which is next to the stationary btw...). Now mind you it's not like they stopped what they were doing to find out, they just said "I don't know" and we had to find someone else. Last thing was at checkout the clerk pointed to one of the items and asked "What is that?" Which I told him it was escarole and he told us they don't stock it. Then he had me look through his system to try to find it for him. He also had no bagging skills just trying to shove everything in a bag until it was full. Even tried to put the bread/eggs with the heavy meats. Honestly I tried to keep this short and had to revise it. I would avoid this place it is way overpriced (which I had to cut). The quality of the produce of what they did have is nothing special. There was little to no food and the selections are limited. read more

Always enjoy grocery shopping at Wegman's! They have a great selection of bakery and pastries, produce, and meats. I love getting flowers there - they are always so beautiful and fresh! Move along, nothing to see here, it's safe to go back to shopping at Roche Bros. and Whole Foods. Two months after the excitement of its opening, this store has, unfortunately, become the worst Wegman's in existence. And since I've spent a lot of time in upstate NY (Wegman's territory), I can definitely make that distinction. The customers seems to have noticed. Traffic is noticeably down from a month ago (it's easy to tell by the amount of registers open at 6pm), meaning the customers that were excited to shop here have gone back to their regular supermarket. Why? Confusing and terrible customer service and a selection that is far less than the square footage would have you believe. I've shopped here well over a dozen times and I've already experienced several TIMES more customer service failures than the HUNDREDS of times I've shopped at other supermarkets in the Westwood/Dedham area. Where to begin. 1. The fish and bakers areas shut down around 5PM, right when people get off from work. Fish is put away, bread is taken off shelves. 2. They have the weirdest alcohol policy on earth. They have signs saying you can BUY alcohol til 11pm, but you can't TOUCH the alcohol after 10PM. Confused? So is everyone else. 3. When you DO buy beer or wine, they require you to take your license out of your wallet completely, then stare at it for 30 seconds. 4. If you make it past the FBI-level license scrutiny, they'll ask you to take off your hat and then examine your face. Not even the State Police does this when they pull you over on the Pike. I should mention I'm 43 years old with a MA license in a clear plastic wallet holder. Also, this is NOT a Westwood Town law. Roche Bros is also in Westwood, and operates likes every normal beer/wine store. 5. If you're with someone else they require the ID of THAT person (then follow above rules). No exceptions. If you're with a child or teen, I just assume you can't buy alcohol. 6. All the managers seem to be around 19 years old, don't care, are surly as HELL and don't want to help you. 7. The pre-made section, normally the star of all Wegmans, seems stale and salty, compared to the premade section at either Whole Foods or Roche Bros. 8. The natural foods and foreign cuisine sections are tiny compared to other supermarkets in the area. Seriously, there are 4 other competent supermarkets within 2 miles, including the incredible Roche Bros., and Whole Foods (both within 1 mile). So what are you doing here? read more

Huge grocery store. I think its a good alternatve to whole foods, which is so expensive and roche brothers which doesnt have a huge selection due to size in westwood. Its fun discovering all the food items. The bakery has delicious items, french macarons, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate molten cake, all outstanding. Some other great finds: wegmans k cups coffee, cheese selection, organic lettuce mix, german liverwurst, meats. The store is large, so i am still having trouble finding things, even after my 4 th visit. The downside is the layout, only one entrance/ exit. So everyone is running into each other trying to get in and out, along with the area being packed with display cases, i am frustrated before im in the door. This theme continues throughout store. Ive been trapped in the cheese section, obstacle course in produce, blocked from pasta aisle, on top of that, those huge kid carriages??? It doesnt work, even on a moderately busy day. Also, lines at checkout are small but painfully slow. They bag groceries as they are scanning. I hate that!!!! It slows process waaay down. Let me help! And then i spend about 10 mins rebagging because they put like 4 items per bag. I dont want to walk out with 30 bags, even when i bring my own. So, in conclusion, love the store , but they have to work on logistics. read more

Let me start by saying that I love Wegmans. I grew up in Pittsford NY - where the first store opened - I went to High School with the kids who manage the Business now. I live in Sharon - when the Westwood store opened - I was there the first week. "Weggy-Mans" in my own backyard, finally! Tremendous disappointment. The price-point for Wegmans has always been between a Whole Foods and a Stop-And-Shop - but with an amazing selection, and great quality. I didn't have a lot of time (late party for the kids nearby), so only picked up a couple of items - among them: Laughing Cow Cheese and a Wegman's brand refrigerated Broccoli Quiche. The Quiche was literally rancid. My wife tried a slice and said that it tasted "off". I told her she was crazy - this is Wegmans! Two (forced down slices later) - ummm...she was right, it was actually rancid - but nothing two Prilosec and 4 Tums couldn't treat. I realize the Laughing Cow Cheese says that it does not need to be refrigerated until after opening - however, I have never seen it offered outside of a refrigerated section. Whether that was the reason or not, it remained a runny paste - even after sitting in the fridge for a couple of days. Net, net, this location has a lot of "bugs" to work out before I would EVER consider shopping there again. read more

So small selection of veggies and fruits, and the quality was really bad!! i went with my family for the shopping of the week and end up with few things. Also, the food is horrible. We tried pizza and subs and we regret it. The pizza that just came out of the oven, after 10 minutes was cold, rubbery with no taste. as for the sub, the same thing, we got the special (something like italian), totally tasteless!!!! i don't think i'm coming back!!! read more

This Wegman's location has been here for over a year and is very popular. What I like best is the large selection of fresh baked breads, such as marathon bread and red, white, and blue bread, which I have not found anywhere else. They are known for their high-quality produce. Wegman's offers an abundance of organic meats, fish, dairy products, and produce. They also specialize in freshly-made prepared foods that can be taken home for a quick and delicious dinner; great for working professionals who may not have the time or energy to start cooking in the evening. Their homemade guacamole and pico de gallo is fantastic and I pick it up almost every time I shop there. They make many types of veggie noodles that I see other supermarkets copying. Wegman's has stimulated the competition amongst the supermarkets in the area. They are more expensive than some of the other supermarkets, but not to the degree of a Whole Foods. The only thing I don't like is that they don't offer as many brands as a Shaw's or Stop and Shop and the layout of the grocery aisles is a little confusing. It doesn't seem to be arranged in the same order as other supermarkets and after shopping there for quite a while, I still don't seem to be able to find the items I need easily. However, based on the quality of their perishable items, I still give them 5 stars. They also offer wine and beer which is a plus. They make their own pizza, which is kept warm and ready to be eaten out of the box, not the kind that has to be brought home and baked. read more

Came here on opening weekend.. mistake as it was so crowded but we were in the area.. the store is overwhelmingly enormous. Given all the hype about loads of organic choices I was very dissapointed that they don't sell organic ground turkey. I asked the sales person and she confirmed that they don't sell it ever. The kidlets thought the Wegmans branded pudding and cream cheese had a very weird mouthfeel which is a big bummer! read more

Love this place! It's our new hangout, we've been there 3 times since their grand opening 3 weeks ago. This review is primarily for the Market Café section. However I will point out that their grocery prices are very reasonable. Last week, they had soft shell lobsters for $4.99. The bread from their in-store bakery is outstanding! I'm a sucker for crusty baguettes and their baguettes and French dinner rolls are very good. The Market Café has hot and cold bars with American/Asian/wings/comfort foods. Also available are soups, pizza, and sandwiches. The sandwiches are made to order and prices are quite good ($9 for a 14-inch sub with your choice of bread, meat, veggies, toppings). A whole cheese pizza is $10 (20 inches). The hot bar foods ($8.99/lb) are replenished constantly and look hot and delicious. I've tried some of the Asian foods, pasta, wings, and Indian curries. It's easy to get a bit carried away and load up the box though. Pretty large seating area. There's also a children's section with TV. Thumbs up! read more

This store is amazing!!!so much to choose from! You have to come here. Make sure you sign up for a shoppers card. They Carry unique brands here like arctic zero and other organic brands. They can be pricey, but you get quality nutritious hot foods in the hot bar. I love this place!!! read more

This is a very nice supermarket. Every I come here I always leave satisfied. They have variety of groceries here, much better selection than places like Stop and Shop. I lost my wallet here once and didn't notice it until an hour later. When I went back to Wegmans, I got my wallet right back from the cashier. They said someone found it and returned it there. Once the novelty wears off you realize that this is a circus/gift shop pretending to be a grocery store. Nice produce, but Market Basket is better. There are few grocery choices, meat and fish are overpriced. If there is a method behind the organization of the store, it will take years to figure out. Seriously? 5 stars? Yes, this place is huge, decently priced, and has a better selection of items (normal and specialty) than any other grocery store in the area, but the staff is totally miserable. How is that possible when this place JUST opened a week ago? I guess I should have gone on opening day like many of the other reviewers. After waiting for Wegmans to open this summer, I was excited to check it out this past Friday. Every single staff member I interacted with was rude- not one smile, greeting, or offer to help. The staff members at the at the entrance (promoting the Shoppers Club Cards) were too busy chatting with each other to acknowledge anyone walking through the doors. The cashier couldn't be bothered to smile, make eye contact, or say thank you. Jeez. So dissapointed after being so excited for this place to open. I'd rather travel further and pay a little more to interact with people who have some personality. read more

This location is awful. It just has a bad vibe to begin with. It is kind of depressing. The prepared foods are such a let down. I ate from the buffet last night and the sandwich shop the night before that. Both were subpar at best. Nothing innovated. Whole Foods blows them out of the water. I noticed a lot of items hadn't been restocked. Also, a fair share of employees seemed miserable. One older gentlemen that seemed to be part of the maintenance staff was extremely pleasant though. read more

A few years ago, we went to Rochester, NY and nearly everyone asked us if we had visited Wegman's. We did and were incredibly impressed. We asked them if they were coming to Boston. We were told "it's coming eventually." We spent nearly every day checking out Wegman's because Rochester isn't amazing in winter. Naturally, we had to be at the market on opening day. I won't go into a million details, but nonetheless, it was worth the wait. It's clean, bright and beautiful, and I could spend hours and days enjoying the market. Needless to say, we've found a new market. I'm going during off hours in the future, though. On thanksgiving day I ordered a turkey dinner for 12 from the Wegmans store in Westwood , it turned out to be a disaster. I came across a staple on the mashed potatoes and my sister in law found a piece of human nail on the squash , it totally ruined her appetite. the very next morning I contacted their customer service at he 800# and spoke to a very nice lady who seemed very concerned about the issue, I never heard from her after that, I also emailed the Wegmans store in Westwood to complain about it with the same result, I never got any response. From my experience I will never order any catering from Wegmans again, I wasn't looking for any refund or anything however some sort of acknowledge of the issue would have been nice. read more
