There are few grocery choices, meat and fish are overpriced. If there is a method behind the organization of the store, it will take years to figure out. Seriously? 5 stars? Yes, this place is huge, decently priced, and has a better selection of items (normal and specialty) than any other grocery store in the area, but the staff is totally miserable. How is that possible when this place JUST opened a week ago? I guess I should have gone on opening day like many of the other reviewers. After waiting for Wegmans to open this summer, I was excited to check it out this past Friday. Every single staff member I interacted with was rude- not one smile, greeting, or offer to help. The staff members at the at the entrance (promoting the Shoppers Club Cards) were too busy chatting with each other to acknowledge anyone walking through the doors. The cashier couldn't be bothered to smile, make eye contact, or say thank you. Jeez. So dissapointed after being so excited for this place to open. I'd rather travel further and pay a little more to interact with people who have some personality. read more

A few years ago, we went to Rochester, NY and nearly everyone asked us if we had visited Wegman's. We did and were incredibly impressed. We asked them if they were coming to Boston. We were told "it's coming eventually." We spent nearly every day checking out Wegman's because Rochester isn't amazing in winter. Naturally, we had to be at the market on opening day. I won't go into a million details, but nonetheless, it was worth the wait. It's clean, bright and beautiful, and I could spend hours and days enjoying the market. Needless to say, we've found a new market. I'm going during off hours in the future, though. We come to this Wegmans at least once every few days seeing as its right down the street from our house and across the street from our bank so definitely a convenient location. The hot foods and meat department are our favorite. There aren't as many grocery options compared to Walmart or Stop & Shop but good enough. Massive store. Great selection. I learned if you want a popular baked good that they run out of frequently during the week you can call ahead and they will bake a small batch for you. They don't want to waste food by baking too much. I would give them 5 stars but they don't check their expiration dates. Watch out for deals on some produce and fruit items. First visit yesterday. Of course it was crowded and insane because it was a Sunday and also this is still a new location, but I had to get in here! I have been to the Southboro location a few years ago because I wanted to see what Wegman's was all about and fell in love there. This is a great store with amazing selections, wonderful quality of produce and the meat prices are not outrageous and the quality looks great as well. I just came in for a few veggies for dinner and also to grab some lunch from the Cafe area. I was so happy with how GOOD the veggies looked, nothing crazy bruised or in bad shape like various other stores when you have to dig through to find one good veggie. Also the staff was super helpful and answered any questions I had. I cannot wait to make trips back here, so happy it has arrived! read more

It's a new store so everything is clean and shiny. The produce always looks fresh and tasty. The prices are a bit higher than other grocery stores I've been to. There seems to be a lot up fruits and veggies already cut up ready to eat. Like a lot! Are people that lazy to clean and cut up the food they buy. I guess it must cater for people who don't have time to prep. The bakery section has a great selection of freshly baked breads and desserts. There is also a ready made food area where you can buy your food by weight. The sushi looked freshly made. The meat was all vacuumed packed which I thought was a great idea. There was also a huge assortment of ready made meals prepped and ready to heat and serve. They have lots of organic food down the isles and gluten free items. I also noticed that they sell wine at this location. Staff are very friendly. read more

Eh. I don't get the hype. I've been let down each time. They've all been little things, hence the 2, but still, I just don't get it. The first time I asked for mulling spices (in late November) and they couldn't find it and they couldn't look it up and they asked 5 employees and the manager literally just walked away at one point and finally someone found them and the manager wasn't even nice to that person when he found them. It's also super dark and I really hate the aesthetic. I also find the layout confusing. And, everyone raves about the prepared food but I didn't see anything that looked appealing. I'm vegetarian (no meat, fish or eggs for me and often no dairy) so perhaps this is a meat lovers place. Either way, I'd highly recommend Whole Foods in Dedham over this place any day. This is hands down my favorite grocery store, ever. When I lived on the South Shore I made the trek up here because their selection is unparalleled and the prices unbeatable. Now I live closer, I go here at least 1x a week. I come here for health and personal care items like shampoo, deodorant, band-aids, etc because their prices are the lowest around (even lower than Target on some items). They also have some of the tastiest store-brand products--particularly their bagged salad mixes, hummus, sodas, Greek yogurts, frozen entrees, I could go on and on. The customer service is also 5-star. The attached beer and wine shop is an added bonus. I highly recommend joining their shoppers club because they send you awesome coupons in the mail, like $5 off of a $25 purchase. read more

Mid range grocery store. Love the variety of products. It's a blend of whole foods and shaw's/stop and shop. Love using the app to make my grocery list and it tells you what isle and if its available with and estimate total. Cafe has good hot meal option to choose from for quick bites. Bakery is great too. Love their Vanilla cake with whip cream icing and the peanut butter pie. Also great options of wine and beer. (Larger locations also have hard liquor ). read more

This location is big but I notice there are still a lot of things it doesn't carry compared to my Wegmans in Syracuse, NY. Less choices of import beer, smaller international European food section, for example. Even the cheese section, which is still quite extensive, is only half of what was available at the Syracuse location. I hope that eventually the Boston area Wegmans will catch up to the quality and variety I'm used to in Upstate NY, but I'm still thrilled to have my fav grocery store in this area now that I've moved to the area. read more

I very much like grocery shopping so headed up to check out the Wegman's in Westwood. Nice store. Very nice inside. As stated by others, the pre-made food section is large. The produce was great. I was unable to get some staples but this was not a big deal. They were out of my flavor milk and sell only their own bread. I would go back if in the area. read more

Today just the same! while I was dealing with a credit card issue on my end, holding up the line and an overall pain for the flow of business, the customer service was friendly and gracious. I am a Weggie fan. I grew up in Buffalo and have known it for years. Each one caters to its community. This one is a good size and is still evolving but it is great. I can't wait for the burger bar to open. There is one in the Woodmore center in Maryland. It is really good. I am also expecting Sahlen or Wardynski hot dogs for the summer and Violets to come in soon. The organic selection is good. It is a shopping experience, you have to try it. read more

Wegmans Westwood is a huge disappointment. Growing up with Wegmans in Pittsford, NY and then Ithaca, we enjoyed the consistently high standard of produce and customer service. After the long wait for the Westwood Store to open, what do we have? Tired produce (salad mixes and cherries), Siggi's yogurt that expires in two days and a limited selection, including the failure to bake their signature, Pain de Campagne French bread, which my European wife agrees is the one exception to awful supermarket bread in the US. The final straw today was their front end manager who was unhelpful and borderline rude. They can do much better. read more

I have been a Wegman's customer for years. I began when my family lived in Rochester NY, which is where Wegmans began. I hated that I could not enjoy the convenience and value of Wegmans in Mass and then they came. They are about as good as a supermarket gets. Wegmans is the like the 3rd best place on earth! 1 Disney world 2 universal studios 3 Wegmans. The hot bar buffet always has new and delicious foods in it they have pre-made and made to order sushi,sandwiches, pizza and more. And on top of all that you can do your regular groceries shopping at reasonable prices. It's not the cheapest grocerie store by any means but there products are worth it, very fresh meats and produce selection! The also have regular frozen and packaged foods here as well. The staff is the most helpful staff members ever they don't just say aisle I.e 6 and walk away they actually walk you to what your looking for if you need. The staff is generally helpful. They carry a lot of foods that I grew up in PA with which makes me very happy. The pizza is exactly like I like thin, firm, but not crispy crust. Sweet sauce and the perfect amount of cheese! The sushi platters are far less expensive than you'd find at a restaurant and just as good. The produce is delicious and the cheese shop is stocked with great basics as well as some adventurous choices. It's always a pleasure to shop here! read more
