My husband and I visited this restaurant on 01/11/21 at approximately 1 p.m. (lunchtime). The cook and cashier were one and the same. It was very difficult to understand him and he did not like that we ordered the lunch portion. I ordered Kung Pao beef and my husband ordered the Kung Pao chicken. For appetizers we ordered chicken wings and egg drop soup. The egg drop soup was delicious. The chicken wings tasted like they were fried in old fish oil. Our entries did not look appetizing. Both plates looked like the mystery meat was drowning in some type of thick dark sickly sweet syrup. The "sauce" looked like thick burnt sugar. I've never tasted anything like it before; it was HORRIBLE. After blowing about thirty bucks, we left extremely disappointed (and hungry!), with a commitment to never return. In this time of Covid and slow business, it pains me to leave such a poor review. But customers are hurting too. Order at your own risk! No bueno. read more

The food is delicious and the chef/owner is very willing to accommodate my request. I took a group of 25 people for a lunch in August. The chef opened the store one hour early to accommodate our large group. The chef listened to our preferences and made the dishes low salt and less oily for us. They were delicious. The beef was tender, the vegetable combo was crispy and refreshing, the seafood dishes were fresh. My guests appreciate the quality of the good Chinese food. I did some research before reserving this place and I am glad I did. Although the resturant is small, the food is great! This place is a classic mom and pop shop. Mom's at the counter and pop's in the kitchen cooking. If you want delivery you may have to wait because they don't have a huge staff. The first time I went I walked in and ordered one of the specials and was told it would take a 1/2 hour because someone just before me also ordered a special and it would take extra time to make the sauce...whatever. As for the food though, it's the best Chinese I've had in Leesburg. Not greasy and not overly salty. It just has a good clean taste like homemade which is why I'll keep going back. I was craving some chinese food on Friday evening and have ordered from here in the past and although it hadn't been OUTSTANDING, it was right when they opened and I figured I should give them another shot. WRONG. I called ahead an order of combo lo mein (without shrimp), won ton soup, and a veggie egg roll. If I'm rating them on customer service, they get 5 stars as the girl who answered was very polite over the phone as well as when I went in. The food however, was terrible. The lo mein noodles had a strange color to them and only after dosing them in soy sauce could I taste anything, and I never use soy sauce. I figured the soup would be at least decent, how can you mess that up, right? But the broth tasted off too. Something I couldn't put my finger on, but reminded my of a cleaning solution. My egg roll was stale and tasted like it was made the day before and not cooked long enough. It was hot, but very mushy. Nothing crispy about it at all. Everything went in the garbage. I sincerely hope this was just an off-night for Wei's, as I have eaten there (dined in) before it's been fantastic! It was also close to closing time tonight when we ordered for delivery, so maybe that's why the food was just disgusting. Perhaps it was remnants from earlier in the day that had been quickly re-cooked/re-heated. Perhaps dining in is the only way to get good food from this place - most negative reviews I've seen on Yelp for this place have been for delivered orders, like ours. We got the Pu-Pu Platter and a Hot and Sour soup with Chicken - just a quick snack for two, and fairly simple dishes. The spareribs were certainly 'spare' with not much meat; and fairly dried out. The Chicken on a Stick was breaded, fried, and thin as a stick. It was also dry. The Beef on a Stick was at least recognizable as meat, but didn't taste too good. They *did* sub out spring rolls for the shrimp tempura, as I have an allergy, but the spring rolls were mushy inside - too bad as they were all-vegetable and should have been lovely. The Crab Rangoon was ok, but as with most Chinese restaurants around here, the 'crab' is only a few slivers of meat and mostly cream cheese. The fried wontons were overly fried and dried out - only the centers were edible. The hot and sour soup was neither hot (spicy) or sour, just watery and plain with a slightly bitter taste. I took one spoonful and spit it out - and will likely just put it down the disposal as I'm not sure there's any way to salvage it. So, very disappointing. I realize selection might have been limited to what they had on hand as it *was* close to closing time, but honestly, I'd rather they have just said so - we would have ordered something else that hadn't sat so long. After all, if the tables were turned and this was my restaurant, I would be ashamed to say my kitchen prepared this slop; and I'm fairly certain the owners wouldn't want to eat what they gave us, either. read more

5 Stars! Best chinese food in leesburg by far... Food is incredibly fresh and delicious.. I recommend take-out instead of delivery. They only have one delivery guy so delivery is slow. GET TAKE OUT ITS WORTH THE DRIVE .... They're delivery can be slow... They only have 1 delivery guy.. the the chef is better than some from NYC nice restaurants. I wish I could give this place more than five stars. Even though I live about 40 minutes away, I've heard amazing things about Wei's Garden even from people in my area, so I knew I had to give it a try. The trek was well worth it. Eating at Wei's Garden was more than just great Chinese food - it felt like eating a meal with family. The owners are the kindest people you'll ever meet and they go out of their way to make you feel extra welcome. And of course, their food is fantastic as well. I went with a couple friends and we had the crab rangoons (excellent), egg rolls, General Tso's chicken, kung pao chicken, beef lo mein, and Singapore noodles. I'd recommend all of them, but I gotta say that this place has a KILLER General Tso's chicken. Trust me - I'm Asian, I take my General Tso's very seriously. Very generous portion sizes, seasoned to perfection, always steaming hot and fresh...I cannot praise their food enough. If you're in the area, definitely stop by Wei's Garden! Not going back. Save your money and look elsewhere. I took my family there this weekend for some Chinese food. The place seems to operate more as a carry out than an eat-in restaurant, which is fine. But I found the place disorganized and messy. A few plastic utensils and napkins were put out, but not enough to cover a table let alone the whole place. No sugar or sweetener or even sauces available, save for 2 or 3 of the single pack hot sauce, the super cheap variety that will outlast every living being. All of that you can easily overlook if they serve good food. But sadly this isn't the case here. We ordered the beef with broccoli and general t'Sao chicken and some steamed dumplings. The dough on the steamed dumplings was thick and greasy and the dumplings cold. They were bland, but at least you could force yourself to eat it. The other two dishes we could barely eat. The meat was of cheap cuts of beef and covered with a dark gooey sauce, the broccoli was overcooked. Truly I could take no more than a bite or two, and the rest went into the trash. Growing up, having a ginormous bag of Chinese take-out for dinner was a weekly occurrence, so in a way, this is like comfort food to me. Several weeks ago we ordered a very large bag of miscellaneous food (pu pu platter, sweet and sour combo, fried rice and soup), and everything was delicious. So I decided to check them out for a few party trays. I don't think they do party trays very often, but they were more than willing to prepare them. Again, everything was a hit (ordered dumplings, General Tso's tofu, and Szechuan string beans), and I even got some people to not dislike tofu :) The owners are absolutely wonderful people and we will definitely be back again and again! read more

If you order by phone, the people speak better english than most Caucasian folk, very friendly and custom orders are a breeze. I hope this place does well because until now, I ordered my chinese food from Ashburn for the past 8-9 years because there was no solid chinese place in leesburg. I'm not sure if this was an off night, but I was very disappointed with what they served as crispy beef. It was not at all crispy, mushy would be more accurate. I have driven past this place for the longest time on my way to work. When I first noticed their sign, I was under the assumption that it was a small deli catering to the businesses in the surrounding buildings. Having been looking for a good Chinese take-out joint since moving to Leesburg from Maryland and discovering that it is a Chinese restaurant, my son & I took a gamble and placed an order. Ever since, Wei's Garden is the only place we order Chinese from. The food is prepared fresh and is quite delicious! My son favors their Orange Chicken, whereas I prefer the combo nation Lo Mein. Egg rolls are crispy, not bogged down in grease like some other places. Haven't tried the soup, so can't comment on that. So, if you are looking for great Chinese take-out in the Leesburg area, give this place a try. Oh, yes, you can dine in as well. read more

Delivery was fast. Food was hot when got it. BUT the food really wasnt good (in my opinion). I got the lunch combo of Lo Mein and Fried Rice with spring roll (SPRING ROLL WAS SO GOOD). While the food taste good, the customer service is absolutely horrible. It should not take 30 minutes to prepare chinese food for a family of 4. I have eaten in the restaurant and also had the food delivered. All other chinese restaurants can have the food ready within 15 minutes and delivered within 30-40 minutes from the time of order. A few times, I have been told they do not make certain menu items on weekends because it takes too long. Their service has always been slow. Initially, I tried to understand they were a new restaurant with limited staff (only the family members) but it got to a point it became a joke within my family. If we were in the mood for chinese food, call today for delivery tomorrow. Unfortunately, our patience ran out and we have decided not to order from this restaurant anymore. We really like the food and want to help out a small family run local business but enough is enough. Not worth the wait. And by the way, the last time I ordered delivery from this restaurant, it took over 1.5 hours. I finally cancelled the order and never got a credit on my credit card. read more

I would love to write a review of the food at this establishment, but alas I cannot. Why? You may ask. Because I waited TWO HOURS for a delivery that never arrived. TWO HOURS!!!! The first person that I talked with confirmed that they delivered to my area. So I waited. Then they called me to say that they were out of Shrimp Toast. Out of Shrimp Toast, hey here is an idea. Make some more. So I switched to the egg rolls, only because a reviewer said they were good. SO I wait again. Then I get a call to reconfirm my address. Yes it was the same that I gave them the first time, I had not moved. I wait. Holy cow 1 hour and 20 minutes. I call and the person this time has no command of the English language and then justs keeps saying "To go?, To go?, NO DELIVERY!! "To go?." Ahhh!! why hast thou forsaken me!! Then came the call. "We cannot find your street." Really, in the day of Mapquest, GPS, Cell phones, Smoke signals and dead reckoning, they cannot find my street a mere three miles as the crow flies away.
