After years of laughing at their commercials, crushing on their red-hair hottie, and dreaming of their squared-shape patties, I finally went to Wendy's for the first time ever! With years of Wendy's advertisements engraved onto my mind, my expectations were sky high. I imagined all the things that would happen when I stepped into the fast food restaurant that is "more than just fast food." I will finally get to eat a squared-pattie burger so perfectly stacked that I could see the individual layers of lettuce, tomato, and cheese. (Just like in the commercials!) I will finally get to see two typical cubicle warriors make exaggerated jokes about the value menu. (Just like in the commercials!) And who knows? Maybe I will finally get to take a selfie with the blue-eyed devil herself! #Wendy (JUST LIKE IN THE COMMERCIALS!) But just like Burger King, Fox News, The American Dream, and the girls on Tinder, few things in life are as advertised. And the realities of Wendy came crashing down on me. Unwrapping the burger was reminiscent of the time when I unwrapped some coal for Christmas. The disappointment was real. I could barely see the signature (or should I say miniature) squared beef beneath the poorly stacked bun. I know they say they 'don't cut corners' with their beef, but whoever compiled my sandwich definitely did some corner cutting. #NoEffort The place itself was not as welcoming as I imagined either. I imagined a clean surrounding filled with people excited about their Wendy's burger. What I actually saw was a lightweight grimy place filled with miserable looking people doing a lunch-for-one. The whole mood of the place was pretty depressing. It was like a cross between a retirement home and an unemployment line where everybody keeps to their own and no one can afford to spare a smile. And where in the heck was Wendy? The people who took my order were nice enough, but I am pretty sure none of them had that red hair blue eyes combo. I bet my Frosty would have tasted much sweeter if the restaurant's iconic eye candy was around. All in all, I'm going to say it'll be tough for me to watch a Wendy's commercial the same way again. The experience itself was not so bad, but their advertisements had just set the bar too high. I went in expecting Kendrick and they delivered Drake. I've been to this place a couple of times, and each time it's made me want to leave a bad review, but I held out hope that maybe next time it would be better. Well, this time was the worst, we tried to order a salad, and a burger combo.. and every single thing was bad in some way or another. The sale was definitely not fresh (or at least as fresh as other Wendy's salads I've had), and the chicken inside of it did not taste good at all. You're watching TV and you see a mouth watering commercial. So you go to the restaurant and order the same meal you saw looked so good on tv, but come to find out it doesn't look as good in real life. Well, yes. I was a victim of false advertisement on my trip to Wendy's... I ordered the Fish Sandwich Combo and a Pecan Chicken Apple Salad. The Fish Sandwich was pretty good, but the salad was disgusting! The salad greens looked NOTHING like the advertisement. In fact, the dark greens were withered and had a slimy finish to them. It wasn't fresh at all! The greens weren't crisp ice berg lettuce, but more so chopped up lettuce that looked like the lettuce they put in hamburgers. Best of luck to you, my fellow yelper. I like the food but every time I order online, they "forget" some of the stuff I order.

First off I always think its super annoying when drive-thrus say "one order per car". I always have at least one other person in the car with me and most places do separate orders. So after dealing with that we got out our fat a$$es out the car and went inside lol. Now the person at the front register was ok. I put my order in and it was a quick transaction. The inside is very clean and well organized. The counter with the spoons napkins and condiments was clean and kept up. Trashbags were fresh and roomy. The drive thru line is a bit confusing because it goes through the center of the parking lot. The parking lot is very spacious with 2 handicap spots right by the door. The men's restroom was clean and kept up and smelled clean. Overall good experience eating lunch at my favorite fast food restauarant. read more

The food here has been consistent for the most part and the cashiers are quite attentive to complicated orders that some people call out. I was actually really suppose when i walked into the restaurant. The place was very clean. It looked spotless. For some odd reason I expected the place to look like an In-N-Out battlezone. The menu selection isn't that large. They have a great value menu.For one buck you can even get a baked potato. I ended up getting chicken nuggets, fries and a frosty. My friends all got a sandwich and a salad. The chicken nuggets were pretty good, but it wasn't as spicy as i hoped for. You have choice of BBQ , ranch or Sweet and sour sauce to go with the nuggets. I think their nuggets were better than Mcdonald's and Burger King. Their fries had skin on it and that is how I usually love my fries. I wanted to see what all the sea salt fries were all about and it didn't taste too special to me. It was a bit on the salty side. The frosty was pretty good, but it felt like i was eating ice cream. Note: this was the first frosty I've ever had in my life,I learned the hard way when i realized you are not suppose to "drink" it. In other words, a straw will not work, use a spoon to eat it. The Filipino lady lacks good customer service. I asked for a refill for lemonade and she said the drink doesn't come with refill only the sodas. They still have the dollar menu! There is actually a few to choose from too. Came here while waiting for my car and sure enough they had the Dollar Menu at a dollar. The parking lot is usually never packed and plenty of seating. Only problem is the single use restroom, if someone is in there for a real long time and someone else needs to go. read more

I ask what was up...."Well the guy in front of you ordered "20" sandwiches." So, I ask guy at window..."why did you have him not pull to a waiting spot to wait for 20 sandwiches" "Well I was told not to" So I get cold food and it was, because you are going to make everyone wait for a guy ordering for the office. The reply for my cold food and wait. "Oh you are a little disgruntled this morning. Well have a nice day...!" In a very awesome condescension voice. Well drive through guy and Wendy's in Warrenton...."You are FIRED" I will not be back for my drive though orders any more. Wendy's is one of the better fastfood chains around. I am particularly fond of their comfort food including the baked potato and chili. Their burgers and fries are also pretty good. I am not a big fan of the frosties because to me they are just ice cream I'm supposed to suck through a straw (which seems to be impossible if I may add). This particular Wendy's is ok. Their drive-thru can be quite a funny experience if you are not used to it. More than once I just stood in front of the intercom for several minutes without getting a response. The first time it happened, I was seriously starting to get convinced that it did not work. I was about to get out of the car to go and see what was going on, when all of a sudden I do hear a voice. The friendliness of the staff makes up for it though. The restaurant itself is always clean and organized. Often the service inside can be faster than the drive-thru. Only thing that could be improved inside is that they do not have a changing table for the little ones (or perhaps they were hiding it from me in the men's room). read more

Best late night fast food for sure. The pa pattys are always juicy. Can come here any time and get the same great tasting quality. The fries are good too. I normally see the occupants here as the older generation. They tend to get a senior discount apparently. That's cool though. It's very quiet here as well. I went up (10-15 mins later) to the same person and I asked if the potatoes were ready, her response " uh, I don't know" Me: "okay, so when will they be ready?" her: "I don't know" Me: "you can't give me an approximated time?" I wish while Wendy's has the strawberry frosty they also had the vanilla frost because that was one of the only reasons I go to Wendy's. I order on the app most of the time but they never give me the option to change my burger. I am one of the people that like no cheese or onion on my burger but most of Wendy's burgers have onions and cheese on them. While the food is decent the drive thru is horrible. I've been in line for 20 minutes, I am still in line. The food could be better like I said, it is decent. any average person would agree. The staff is rarely kind towards customers and regularly gets upset at complicated orders. I hate coming here and only do when nothing else worthwhile is near by or on my way. Noting that but once I finally got my food it was smothered in Ketchup. I have never had to say "no ketchup" in my life. The ingredients listed say Mayo, that's it. I have a soft spot for Wendy's. It's usually my Plan B when the drive thru line at In-N-Out is ridiculously long and I want a good burger in a much quicker time. Though their menu may seem similar to other fast food joints, I think their quality is set at a higher standard. Their burgers are actually pretty tasty. For me, definitely it's all about the Baconator. It's such a guilty pleasure for me and a very manly burger too with two beef patties, two slices of cheese, and six strips of bacon. Yeah, it may not the most romantic or well-crafted burger out there, but it definitely hits the spot! And in my honest opinion, their grilled chicken sandwiches are the best in the fast food business as well. Their fries though, are decent at best. I do like that they come with the potato skin and you also have the option to dress them up with toppings like a baked potato. And another plus is that they're open late as well, not 24 hours though, but late enough to stop by after a night on the town. That's all I have to say about Wendy's. The higher quality fast food, conveniently open late to satisfy cravings, and The Baconator all are good enough for me to keep coming back. read more

FOR THE LOVE OF STARVING CHILDREN! I decided to go here for a post workout meal. I need to pack 3000 calories a day in order to gain body mass because of my high metabolism, and "healthy" fast food fits the bill. I originally debated whether I should go to the Burger King by my house, or spend a buck on gas to drive to Wendy's because gas isn't cheap. The free frosty keychain in my wallet persuaded me to make the trip. The line was long when I got there, but I decided to wait since I already made the trip and was determined to use my frosty keychain. Time flew as I analyzed the value menu for the highest calorie to price ratio eliminating the greasy cheese burger sorts. I went up to the cashier and ordered a small chili, baked potato, chicken sandwich and free jr frosty which was approximately 1030 calories for $4.44. The cashier did not give me a receipt and he begun cutting up a potato. Several minutes passed and the potato was still left exposed on the counter. The first wave of customers before me was served ten minutes later. The female server lined up incomplete trays besides trays on the front counter. She began piling various burgers, fries and drinks on trays, and called out orders which no one could understand. She called out the male cashier's name, and he read the receipts for her as people began to flock to the counter. I don't know how to describe it, but there was a mix of confusion, chaos, receipt exchanging, order reading, and frustration. Customers questioned if their tray was the correct order, and the female server firmly said, "yes, that is your order", moved items around, and said, "no, that is not your order". She frantically called the cashier's name as he tried to fix everything. This happened for several minutes as hangry (hungry + angry) customers waited. The guy who ordered after me was served before me, and the staff could not get his 8 burgers, fries, medium fruit punch, large sprite, small cola... "complicated order" correct. How difficult is it to match items to a receipt? They do this all day! The gentleman had to take his children to Millbrae in 20 minutes, and did not have time to wait for the staff to correct his order. He demanded a refund and his children were left starving. Let me repeat that. THE CHILDREN WERE LEFT STARVING. That is unheard of in America! 20 minutes passed and I politely asked where my order was. They asked if I had a receipt, and I did not because they never gave me one. I recited my order several times, and they finally got most of my order out, but they were OUT OF BAKED POTATOES! At least half a dozen baked potatoes were exchanged the entire time I waited. It would be another 30 minutes for the next batch, so they gave me fries... I don't expect exceptionally high quality service at fast food restaurants, and understand new workers may have immigrated to the US recently. However, I do expect a higher level of service than what I experienced today. It should not take 25 minutes to receive your food, and they should get your order right 95% of the time. Will I go to Wendy's again? Most likely... but I just wanted to share an experience with you all. read more
