I love Wendy's! It's the best fast food place ever, one of the only ones where the burgers taste like they were actually grilled. The employees as nice and welcoming there, and try their hardest to get your order correct. I also love the care they put in to decorating the restaurant, and making it look really nice depending on the season. The ambience is nice, because there is usually other people in there, but it's not overly crowded. My only complaint about this location is that they're out of chocolate frosties. Im aware that makes me sound big because I'm complaining about an ice cream flavor, but a lot of people prefers chocolate. I'm not sure if they have fixed the issue since I've last been, but I hope they do soon. Overall love this place. read more

Food was cold and undercooked and to make matters worse it tasted like it was made the day before and this was waiting in the drive thru for almost 10 minutes after I ordered! Staff shoved the bag and drink out the window not caring if I had a hold of it or not. I don't see how this place stays open with all the other choices around. Workers here are kind, and deal with the stress well. But every time I'm here there's nothing but confusion while organizing and packing orders. No real management. They are always super slow. The workers are very rude they do not pay attention to what you order the last few times I have went in here it was filthy, flies everywhere I asked for fresh fries the just redid old fries so then they are extremely crispy. I would have drove to holly springs but this one is 2 mins from my house. This location needs to be shut down clean from top to bottom and the employees trained again. This location is by far the worst Wendy's I have ever been to. I am in my 50's and been to a lot of Wendy's since they started. The employees at this location do not care about anything. They answer the drive through saying "whatchoo want"? Then it takes 30 minutes to get your food and the order is always wrong, cold and looks like it has been sitting on a shelf for days. For $10 or more for a small combo meal I expect much better! Will not be going back and I live in the neighborhood. Would go probably once a week if it was up to standards. If your looking for good fast food from Wendy's, I urge you to avoid the location in Fuquay Varina, NC. My husband waited in the drive through line for a half hour. Upon placing the order he was told at 6:30pm they had no baked potatoes and would replace with French fries. (Fries do not taste the same as baked potatoes) not to mention fries were on burnt side. He also ordered 2 salads 1 half order avocado (all salad, 5 small pieces of chicken, about a teaspoon of cheese) and that's it. Also, 1 full avocado salad with extra chicken that he was charged for, but didn't get on his salad. It also showed on drive through screen. We didn't get any utensils, napkins or Salad dressing (most important parts of the meal). Nor did we get our receipt which has time, store # etc. I called the store twice after getting our order home. No one answered the phones. IT JUST RANG. That is pretty sad. As someone who has worked in fast food and at Wendy's in 1991, and has been a manager. I know the standards that are suppose TO IMPLIED AND UPHELD. I would be terminating the shift leader for not calling in enough back up, and the store manager for not doing their part. This is all unacceptable. Perhaps one of the worst fast food establishments I've ever had the experience of visiting. Normally I would overlook a bad experience at a fast food location and just never visit there again. However, this particular experience was so bad that I had to recount my experiences on various review websites. As a matter of background info, we hadn't been to a Wendy's in what seems like ages - perhaps as long ago as when Dave Thomas was still doing Wendy's commercials. It's not that we wanted to stay away - rather, we just don't eat out much in fast food places. So my wife, son, and I were on the way home when we all agreed to eat at the Wendys located on Main street in the town of Fuquay Varina, NC - this occurred on February the 1st, 2020. We arrived around 4:30 PM - a time in which hardly anybody was there. From the moment we walked in, we noticed at how dirty (greasy?) the place looked. There was only one customer eating at the time, yet the floors had food and other trash strewn about. OK, so we placed our order - nothing out of the ordinary, just some double hamburgers and a Homestead fried chicken sandwich. In the meantime I went to the men's room. There was no soap there so I had to go out and ask the manager to change out the soap, which she did promptly. When we did receive our food, I was flabbergasted to see that my anticipated fried chicken homestead sandwich was not crispy at all - in fact it tasted very dry and looked like it had been sitting out for awhile and then microwaved to heat it up, making it soggy. After trying Popeye's fried chicken sandwiches at various locations, this Wendy's offering was a pure embarrassment. I had a hard time finishing this thing - it was that dry and soggy. In the meantime, I went to get some catsup - but the catsup containers and bins were empty. When my wife got her order - she used a coupon which indicated two double cheesburger meals for only $10, she only received one double cheeseburger meal. When she went back up to explain she had a coupon for two, she was told that she must have mis-read the coupon. So she ordered another meal. When we got in the car, we noticed that the coupon did in fact indicate two meals and in the end, she wound up paying much more for two meals purchased separately. So after all this time to Wendy's - all we can say is, "never again," in particular to the Fuquay Varina location. It is obvious that management is to blame for the appearance, food quality, and performance of the employees, and that's a crying shame. However, in looking at the reviews for this location, it soon becomes obvious that this has been going on for a long time! C'mon Wendy's Corporate - what's it going to take for somebody to step in and shape this place up? Save your money folks and go somewhere else, lest you be disappointed. Reluctantly submitted... Got there around 5:45 and ordered a Dave's double burger meal with a diet coke. I was told to move up to front door and they would bring me my order. Fine, no problem. When I got home and opened the burger it was a joke! I have no idea what they did but the lettuce and tomato were COOKED. I have always had OK experiences at this Wendy's, but this past time it was terrible. When I walked in, no body wanted to take my order. I just stood there until a girl came up to take it. She didn't ask me for what cup size I wanted, so I ended up paying for 2 larges. After that, nothing was stocked at the drink station, and it was all sticky, attracting bugs. I work in fast food, and I have never seen a drink station this bad. I didn't receive my food for 10-15 minutes and there was nobody else in store. Some workers were just standing around, talking. I am over 60 years old and have never filed a complaint until now. I went into the Wendy's at 1374 N. Main st Fuquay-Varina the time was 6:01 on my ticket. I ordered 1 Dave's single and 1 Biggie bag (junior bacon cheeseburger, chicken nuggets and fries) nothing special or crazy. Two burgers fries and nuggets. I was given a cup to get my drink. The drink machine was out of ice and the only Coke product available was regular Coke, no diet. I then proceeded to wait on my food. After 17 minutes during which time there were 10 to 12 drive-thru customers served (yes I counted because i had nothing else to do) and three Doordash ( 2 which were on the screen under my order) got served my order showed up on the ready side of the screen. When I walked up my order was not there it was not ready and all I got was a blank stare from the girl working the counter. It was not until I became angry that they got my order filled. The employees look whipped, like they don't care and it shows in the service. Also this store is very filthy, after a couple of trips I realized it's not a one time thing but in the stores culture. Having someone standing by to wipe down and sanitize the tables so customers are not having to do it. While this may be a small town you do not have that problem with the Chick-fil-A. Better to drive the 10 minutes to Holly Springs. I'll definitely make the drive uptown cause when it comes to food you don't want to get sick from eating out. To be fair the customers can contribute by not being nasty and making extra work for the employees. read more

I have visited this location many times and 8 out of 10 times there is always a problem. They often leave you waiting by the speaker in the drive thru for what seems like forever. Then the line builds and yet no to take orders. Tonight, it was that they ran out of ice but didn't bother to let you know when ordering. They just handed me a medium coke with no ice that was room temp. When I asked about the ice they said "oh well... we ran out." Fries were soggy and not even warm. Saw an ad on tv for the new barbecue cheeseburger and thought I'd like to give it a try! I arrived and order as there was no line. My food was out within minutes. The drink machines in the dinning room were basically empty. I asked for a drink from the drive thru and it wasn't a problem! The manager quickly went to the dining room to refill the drink machines. The new barbecue cheeseburger was not that great though. The ad makes it look delicious and well my picture shows what it really looks like. ( I got no pickles). Was very upset to see there was barely any onion straws and was told that is the pre determined amount but they did give me a little cup of some more. Overall the experience was okay. If I could give the service received tonight a negative number I would. I was in line in the drive thru for over 30 minutes. I couldn't move forward or backward to get out of line. Inside appeared to be just as backed up. I sat at the speaker for a solid 5-7 minutes with nobody acknowledging my presence even to say we will be right with you. I had to loudly say hello multiple times. I give my order and the person working drive thru was too busy talking to her coworkers to greet me other than to give me my total. I get home with the food (after working a 12+ hour hospital shift) and my food is cold as is my husband's. I would go back and request either a refund or New food but I fear it may be a Gilligans island situation and I will never return. Went to Wendy's with my 87 year old mother. We went inside to order and waited 20 minutes before they tried to take our order. The poor clerk was yelled at for taking the guy in front of us order. A man waiting for his order had to wait almost 20 minutes to get his order because drive through was more important then people inside of Wendy's. My mother and I were second in line. The manager is worthless and needs to be fired. I will not go back to that Wendy's again while that manager is there. I have told everyone I know not to waste their time going there and they had stories like mine too. read more

The drink machines never have most of the drinks and the people never want to fill it when you ask. The floors around the drink machines are always wet which is a fall hazard for people. Absolutely worst place to stop to get food. I went through the drive-thru and sat for 20 minutes behind only a couple cars. When i finally made it to the order screen instead of a professional "sorry for the wait, may i take your order", the guy came on the intercom laughing hysterically and when he finally gained his composure he said "yeah" as his greeting. On top of the unprofessionalism and slowness, they were also incompetent enough to completely get my order wrong and when I took it inside to get my right order it took 15 minutes before anyone would even acknowledge me including me trying to get any employees attention. When i was finally able to talk to someone, they were rude and just did not care.
