This is for the Ka Makana Ali'i Wendy's. There customer service and time management isn't the greatest. My boyfriend and I have gone to that location multiple times for it's convenience and good food, usually late at night. But almost every time we go to the drive through we get an employee who has an attitude, and/or doesn't thank us at the end to let us know that's all of our items. Also there's always a huge line, and only one window open with an employee who seems like they barley know what they're doing. We sit in lines for 30 minutes assuming that it would get done quick since it's a fast food place. They seem understaffed, and the staff that they do have seem like they're not trained well. We like the food and that it's 3 minutes away, it's just when the line is long we go somewhere else sometimes. read more

I may be bias but this new Wendy's is the best ! From customer service and the food it really is the best place for a quick lunch or dinner. They also have this soda machine that is high tech with choke soft drink you can't find at a fast food place. My favorite is their Sprite Zero peach carbonated drink! I didn't even know sprite had a peach soda! So whenever my family and I are craving for Wendy's we will definitely go to this location.... read more

Out of all the Wendy's on Oahu, this is the only location where the food is consistently hot and fresh, the restaurant being clean and the staff being friendly. A lot of it has to do with the location, steady traffic and affordable prices compared to the other restaurants around Ka Makana Ali'i. Heck, I'm willing to skip the Wendy's in Royal Kunia, which is just a stone throw away from my home (and depending on who you ask, stone throw is a unit of measurement ) just to go to the one at Ka Makana Ali'i. read more

I know you shouldn't expect MUCH from a fast food restaurant. However, I would expect my food to be properly wrapped and look somewhat presentable. I was handed the wrong order at the window informed them this was not the correct order. Waited for them to bring me what I thought I originally asked for and I got this instead. I would like to start by saying, I love Wendy's. I specifically enjoy this Ka Makana Ali'i mall location. I always come in to the inviting space provided by the customer service from familiar faces of the employees. Today, however, my usual positive experience was anything but positive almost as soon as my friends and I walked thru the door. As my group approached the counter we stopped at the digital menu away from the register. We scanned the menu, simply just taking our time. The cashier (whose name tag said "Trainee") shouted, since we were not close to the counter still making decisions, "For here or to go?" in a rude manner. We as a group were stunned. We felt rushed and one by one we went up to make our orders. The Cashier made us feel uncomfortable because he was unfriendly in the way he spoke to us. He cut me off a few moments during our order. We finished orders and walked away to make our drinks. Found seats and waited for our food. We felt like that was a situation that didn't need to be talked about, we were over it, we've worked in the food industry and we've all run into people in a down mood. Why I was actually pushed to make this review is what happened after we finished eating. We went to throw away our trash alongside a sweet woman cleaning up her area. We were getting up to leave then the same Cashier Trainee, unbeknownst to us, was cleaning out the trash bins was coming back in. He opened up the door to the trash bins and with intention audibly said "Seriously?!" He said this pretty loudly. There was no a bags or bins in the space. The woman who also threw trash felt bad and was apologizing and he ignored her words. She was visibly upset because she thought she did something wrong when it wasn't her fault at all, how was she to know that there was no bin? He left the door closed, making it look available. We talked to the lady to make sure she felt okay, while he walked away huffing and puffing under his breath, quite angrily. I hope this helps the establishment with this trainee, and makes sure he knows how to talk to customers and provide good service. Next time I come in and see him I expect better. read more

I came here twice and both times ordered the same thing, a Son of the Baconator PLAIN. Got sauce both times. The second time I even said "No ketchup or mayonnaise, please. I got it in my burger last time." And they said okay. Opened up my burger and there was sauce. She said that's the small price. I told her that she didnt offer a small, and didnt mention extra charge for tea. Order came, another guy brought my food, said light salt I told him I asked for extra, as they under salt. The girl was arguing inside the window that I ordered light salt. This Wendy's is generally okay with a mix of friendly/busy/moody manager and newish looking workers as expected in this area. In the past the outermost sitting area sometimes gets dirty if they don't check it after kids have a field day. Unfortunately my Wendy's App coupons won't load here.. so that brings it down a notch. read more

I would love to give this place more stars. Food was great as always and came out quickly but the staff is less than professional. Dressed in a summer dress the skirt of my dress had ridden up a bit higher than I intended as I sat down to eat my lunch. Focused on my food I initially didn't notice until I hear laughter and notice I'm getting looks - lots of them - from the kitchen staff and those expediting orders at the drive-thru window. A young man even came up from the back to stare at me. I heard the phrase "spreading aloha" more than once, I was in no way sitting in such a vulgar manner. Once the young man noticed me staring back at him he quickly retreated to the kitchen looking somewhat ashamed. I quickly rearranged my clothing for the sake of modesty and tried to recover what was left of my dignity. I managed to finish my food but my mood had dramatically changed, I was so mortified. I ordered the Apple Pecan Chicken Salad for lunch today and a plain baked potato. They forgot the chicken, the pecans & the bleu cheese. So basically I had a box of lettuce and apples with dressing. EPIC FAIL. This was my first visit at the new location in Kapolei. It's nice, clean, friendly staff but clearly lacking in quality control. The manager was apologetic and offered me a free frosty (to go with my salad?) which I declined. He got me a fresh and hot piece of chicken and 2 bags of pecans. I will say that the lettuce was clean and fresh and so were the apples. That's about all I can say. read more

Bottom line up front: three stars for the food (its fast food after all) and four stars for customer service. If you're in the mood for some Wendys this is the place to get it. Much better than the one on Kamokila Street. I actually live closer to the Kamokila Street location but will drive here to eat because the management is doing a good job at keeping this place to standard. Restaurant is clean and customer service is much better than what is to be expected. While I am dining, I always observe how the management runs a restaurant, the managers in this location have pride in their job and hold their employees to the standard..good job! This Wendy's location has horrible customer service. I've visited several times with no please and thank you throughout the entire transaction. One time the employee handed me the bag of food and walked away without saying one word. Employees seem to have a lack of training and often seem to be in a bad mood. Given, some workers are better than others. Nonetheless, lines are always long because they usually seem to be understaffed, especially in the later afternoon. This review is based on 3 experiences over the past month. This latest one being tonight which prompted me to write this review. I've come to the conclusion that if you want a correct order that you should not go to this Wendy's on a weekend night. Twice I ordered a cheeseburger for my son and it came with pickles and onions. This third time I ordered and asked for no pickles and was told "it does not come with pickles". When we got home lo and behold there were pickles and onions in the cheeseburger. I ordered a spicy buffalo salad and got a chicken caesar parmesan salad with spicy buffalo dressing. This most recent visit I order a southwest avocado and a spicy buffalo chicken salad. Both salads were chicken ceaser parmesan salad. One just had a scoop of avocado. I looked at my receipt and the person working the counter had entered everything correctly. The issue are the people putting the orders together...either they lack intelligence, are lazy, or think it's funny to mess around with people's orders. I usually let things like this go but after this 3rd visit a review was in order. My advice avoid going there at night or really, really check your order before you leave. read more

All I gotta say is despite how busy it was, one of the managers I think her name was Maggie showed excellent customer service. She was very apologetic for the long wait, she made complimentary frostys for those who been waiting. And the way she talked to each customer, so positive and sincere with thank you and sorry for the wait. I was blown away by her. And her smile and calm manner just really stood out. Went here to eat with my family. I don't expect outstanding service at fast food joints. I'm sure majority are underpaid. I do normally get decent service at this location. It's newly updated, and I like Wendy's better than McDonald's! Last njght, after a really nice movie with my family. The night ended even better with the amazingly nice workers! Tony (I'm pretty sure that's his name) was above and beyond!) Helped my other half with our 2 trays of food, he also checked on us if we was okay. Three strikes and I'm done. The drive thru is a mess. First time I was giving them growing pains as I got totally the wrong stuff. Not one thing correct. Time number 2 I just ordered a combo but 3 bags starting coming and it was clear it was not not order. Oh what did you want they ask. 10 min later I get my correct order. Time number 3 took over 15 min to get thru the drive thru with only two cars Infront of me. A mess of a restaurant. The staff just all look like they never got any training. read more
