We decide to give it a try, never heard of Have-A-Burger. The business is located in an ice skating ring, think an expanded snacks counter. When placing the order through Uber Eats, there is a required selection for burger type, each option with an add-on price...no way to proceed without add-on pricing. This means that the BOGO Burger is really only BOGO Roll and Lettuce. There is NO WAY to check out with any Burger BOGO at the advertised price, 100% impossible. That is issue #1, and Uber Eats allows any vendor to write up anything and zero enforcement so restaurants can write up anything they want...totally allowed and zero consequences. $7.49 BOGO clocks out at minimum price $14.49, as if two burgers would be close to $30.00. Otherwise they are very consistent, they virtually never give overcooked steak. You can see how closely they pay attention to the grill as they cook and they actively toss away burnt bits of steak. I went here twice a day for over a week straight and got steaks from each cook at least once!! I believe in this joint. It has real history behind it as the 2nd oldest cheesesteak joint in Philadelphia, the first in West Philadelphia period. "New Ownership" but literally all the best staff from the old ownership. The same cooks, the same genuinely nice and friendly people that worked here since I was a kid. Know your roots. This place will treat you right.
