Okay, so Wendy's in Midland Park... Oh how i have a love/hate relationship with you. Your food is delicious and served hot. Yet your drive in lane is possibly the most infuriating experience that one can have. How is it possible that no matter what time of day one arrives, the drive in line is not only long, but comes with the wait time that is only experienced elsewhere at the DMV? Is it that you are that popular? NAY! I see that your food delivery logistics are lacking, or in plain english, your slow. I do enjoy the drive in hack this location has implemented, by not taking the next order until the car in front has received their food and is on their way... Genius way of getting around that pesky timer that would expose your slothful ways! When compared to the location in Wayne, this location makes your drive in experience akin to that of the wait you experience on a Saturday at a walk in medical clinic. Is it worth it? Do you have masochistic tendencies? Then yes. Enjoy the pain that is Wendy's.4 very exhausted thumbs up

I pulled into the parking lot this morning saving the lot was completely empty. Did I misread the article??? Maybe it didn't make its way to Midland Park.... let me just check. I pull up to the menu board and YES, the voice comes on, "Welcome to Wendy's, can I take your order". What?????? Wendys has thrown its hat in the breakfast ring!!! I got the baconator breakfast sandwich and breakfast fries. Let me tell you. As skeptical as I was, I was equally surprised. It was VERY good!!!!! Now good for fast food, but still very good!! Tasted very fresh. Sausage was actually very tasty. The breakfast fries were seasoned just right. Nice and crispy on the outside, potatoes in the middle. Now I get it..... it's new... of course it's going to be perfect. Let's see..... right now I'm saying it's completely on point.

I used to like this Wendy's but lately is been giving bad service, the waiting times sometimes are over 10 minutes for a meal. The guy at the drive thru had a bad attitude, what the heck, if you are having a bad day don't take your shit on costumers. Other then that food is always fresh and tasty.

We asked for ranch, but what came out looked and tasted like a cheesy dip (as pictured- you can literally see chunks of cheese in it). We even compared it side by side with their Caesar dressing which was same texture, just a different color. Isn't ranch supposed to be creamy? The French dip sandwich was another letdown. The roast beef was super dry, barely any pink, and the au jus sauce looked like the last bit scraped from the bottom of the pot. Very light in color when it should be a rich dark brown. One look and I knew it wouldn't taste right. Then came the burger, which was so undercooked that the blood soaked through the bottom bun (as pictured). The waitress never even asked how we wanted it cooked. Overall, I'd come back here for a drink but I'd skip the food next time.

The cheesy, gooey mozzarella moons are hot and crispy on the outside with the perfect amount of mozzarella on the inside. As you indulge, remember to stretch the cheese as long and as far as you can - shoot for the moon! You won't go wrong with whichever style burger you choose. The black & bleu was piled with bleu cheese crumbles. You won't see the patty on the cali burger, but don't be deceived because it's packed with avocado, bacon and other flavorful toppings. You'll definitely need two hands to devour these bad boys! French fries are always the number one backbone to any hamburger plate. I explored the original fries, and for a small upcharge , I also tried the sweet potato fries. It was sweet variation from the common potato. To finish off the meal, I slurped a mint chocolate milkshake. Unlike the vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, this fourth flavor is not available all year round. The shake has a perfect thickness and texture. And the dessert drink toppings are simple, but satisfying. And if you aren't in the mood for typical burger and fries, the diverse menu also offers breakfast, Greek, and vegan options. The owner, Paul, will definitely make sure you are taken care of. #RocknTheGrill #glenrocknj #blackandblueburger #caliburger #milkshakes #burgerandfries

We stopped in mid-week for a family dinner after work and even on a Wednesday the place was buzzing. The restaurant itself is pretty tiny, which makes for a cozy atmosphere but also means tables are very close together. If you can, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The menu is somewhat minimal, but the food overall was good. I eat gluten-free and noticed the options were a bit limited, which made ordering slightly challenging. I ended up going with the sea scallops. They were nicely cooked, but the portion was smaller than I expected--five small scallops with some vegetables. For the price, I do wish the portion had been a bit more generous. I have to admit I left still a little hungry. My dad ordered the short rib grilled cheese and really enjoyed it. That was probably the standout dish at our table. My sister ordered the honey bourbon chicken and said it was okay, but afterward she mentioned she probably should have gone with the short rib grilled cheese instead. One surprise of the night was live music on a Wednesday. I usually enjoy live music, but since we were hoping to catch up as a family it made conversation a little difficult. The music was fairly loud for such a small space. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. They also have a rewards program, which worked out nicely--my dad received a complimentary dessert for his birthday. I ordered the crème brûlée, which was a great way to end the meal. A couple practical tips: parking in Ridgewood can be tricky. The restaurant advertises valet parking, though we didn't use or see it during our visit. If you find street parking, make sure to feed the meter because the town is known for giving out tickets. In warmer months they do offer some outdoor sidewalk seating, though it looks fairly limited. It also appears they have a happy hour, though we didn't arrive in time to try it. Overall, I'd recommend checking out Steel Wheel Tavern--just be mindful of the timing of your visit, especially if you're hoping for a quieter dinner.

They are trying to figure out a new donut supplier, so it'll be off for a while. However, the owner was heading out for an errand, and offered to buy doughnuts ad-hoc if I still wanted the chonut and I took him up on it! What service. Chonut: he got a Paris Baguette maple donut, which was a good level of sweetness. It wasn't warmed up at all and the bottom donut got really soggy, so I wonder how it would compare to their normal donut. I loved the combination of sweetness and savory - I'd get this again to see what a full potential donut sandwich could look like. Cholander Fries: we ordered this while waiting, and a solid appetizer with lots of flavors. We got the BBQ Sampler box, and they allowed us to replace the 2 ribs with pork belly instead. The pork belly was the standout - it's both very crispy and fatty. They also gave us a gochujang glaze sauce because they said it paired well with the pork belly, and it did! The brisket was good too and certainly benefited from the sauces available, as well as the pork shoulder. I thought the Mac and cheese was standard but the kimchi slaw wasn't refreshing although interesting.

We ordered the 'Four the Family' (4 burgers and/or sandwiches, 4 sides, 2 shares) and the 'Smashburger (4) & Fries' (4 smashburgers and fries). For the 'Four the Family', there are select burger/sandwiches you can choose from but it's a pretty big selection. We ended up with the Americana, Spicy Paul Bunyan, Truffle Elk, and Classic Chix. None were really memorable and were kind of dry. For the sides, we had the honey brussels (burnt) and Korean fried chicken wings, which weren't bad. The cole slaw was probably some of the worst I've eaten - there was no flavor, it was like they just mixed some cabbage with mayonaisse. The smashburgers were much better. Can't really go wrong with a smash burger. However, we should it would come with four sets of fries but it was only one. We also ordered a side of onion rings, and those were really good. I would say for what we paid, it was totally worth it. Are they good burgers? Eh, not necessarily. But I would probably do the smashburger deal again, and only if there is another inKind promotion.
