We asked him to cut the burgers in half so we could each taste two different burgers and Alex was happy to do that for us. I bit into the Patty Melt first, which we changed the cheese to Swiss and I have to say, the grilled onions were sautéed perfectly and added the right amount of flavor and the added pastrami to the patty melt was the best!! The marvel rye was toasted on the grill to a really nice crispness, nice and hot and not over done. Just a really delicious sandwich! The onion rings, oh ya, I already mentioned them but oh ya! So good! The Jalapeño burger was so good with fresh cut and fresh grilled peppers and the pepper jack cheese added the perfect goo to the perfect crunch of the peppers and added bacon, and the grilled onions on that one were such a nice touch. Most were positive, but I did notice a few negative comments mixed in--and unfortunately, some of those ended up matching our experience. I wouldn't describe the service as particularly friendly. While ordering, I asked a few questions about menu items and was met with very short responses that didn't really answer what I was asking. We ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger Combo, a Millie Burger Combo, a Corn Dog, and the Chicken Crunch. The restaurant was busy, with plenty of customers stopping in for lunch on a Saturday. The employee at the counter took our order quickly, and we were able to find a table right away. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. My bacon cheeseburger lacked flavor, the patty was very thin, and the bacon was overcooked. My daughter started eating the Chicken Crunch but stopped after a few bites because she said it tasted funny. I tried it myself and noticed the chicken tenders tasted like corn dog, likely from being cooked in the same oil. The fries also tasted as though they had been cooked in old oil. None of us finished our meals, and we left feeling disappointed and dealing with stomach aches afterward. For the price, this isn't a place we'll be returning to. I will add that this was my husband's second visit. He mentioned that during his first experience, Millie was working the counter and he really enjoyed both the food and service. Unfortunately, that was not our experience today.
