I placed a mobile order and pulled up to the speaker, only to be told there'd be a 5-10 minute wait while they transitioned from breakfast to lunch. Fair enough. I agreed to wait at the speaker, but the associate asked me to drive around--as if my presence there was somehow a problem. I set a timer for 10 minutes. When I looped back, I noticed a car behind the red bar and no car in front of it--which clearly meant the driver was told to back up. When I finally reached the window, the manager told the worker to tell me to back up behind the red thing. The disorganization was next-level. Despite the wait, the fries tasted like they had been sitting for a while. They were cold, and not hot and crispy. WTH! The hamburger was better. According to Yelp, nearly every Wendy's in the metro area has terrible reviews. And I don't blame the workers. This is a top-down problem. Horrible service. Every morning they claim the internet is down and they can only take cash. Which is hard to believe considering it's a University area. You will wait 20 plus minutes in the drive thru before they even take your order. Then they force you to back up so you can't see or speak to them. Going in doesn't help. This Wendy's location used to be really good. The employees were friendly and the food was always good. I don't know what happened in the last couple of years but they are horrible now. Food and service is terrible. The cashier that took my order today was so nonchalant and sounded like she just woke up. Also, how at 10am you are out of every flavor of lemonade? Last time I had ordered my food was burnt. But what I saw today is the icing on the cake. Before I bite into a sandwich I always check through it for precautions. HORRIBLE. Just spoke to the rudest lady at the drive through in my life. Lady was rude, did not repeat our order, nor did she give us a total. Ended up driving away. This isn't the worst thing. I've been here countless times with mistakes. One time there was a sign in the first window that said "drive ahead" and then when I arrived to the second window I was told to BACK UP. They seem to purposely mess up your order, they are often out of basic items like bottled water and BBQ sauce and the employees seem to either talk way to loud and fast or slow and mumbled. I am not a huge fan of fast food, but this place actually serves what appear to be real eggs on their biscuits. They are actually different sizes each time and you can see the yolk. Also, the young lady who works the drive-thru window in the morning is quite possibly the nicest and most polite employee I have ever encountered at a fast food chain.
