I ordered 4 subs in person and was shocked by the apparent health code violations i observed in…read moreplain sight. The first employee sliced the meat and placed it on a white prep board. No issues there. A second employee emerges from the back and walks past the frozen meat prep Area which was being cleaned. I observed the employee place his gloved hand on the open drawer which stores raw meat and thought that was concerning but I'm sure he'll change gloves before doing anything else. While wearing the same gloves he begins wiping down the customer area of the front counter with a white towel. He then takes the same towel and wipes down a knife that appeared clean but is now soiled from Whatever was on the public counter and possibly from the raw meat prep area. That employee then rings me up and touches the touch screen and my credit card with the same gloves. That employee then places his entire palm, with the same glove he used to wipe the counter, accept my payment and manipulate the register, directly on my meat while asking me what toppings I wanted. At this point I knew I wasn't eating any of the food he was going to touch because who knows what else he touched before coming out of the back, besides the fact he touched multiple spoiled surfaces. The employee then uses the knife he wiped with the towel that he used to clean the counter to cut my sandwich in half. Ultimately I called and spoke to a manager who said he was in the back and didn't see any of this but, apologized and agreed to refund my money. So I don't know what goes on in the back but I was quite shocked how unsanitary conditions were on display right in front of customers.
