This place has officially become one of my favorite fast food burger joints. Their hamburgers are really delicious. I love that I can get a bacon cheese burger without tomatoes, lettuce , onions or pickles. Their French fries are to die for! Especially if you are salt fans like myself. I like them a lot more than McDonalds and In n Out fries. I also love their chile. I'm surprised they have good chile at a fast food joint. I was originally trying to get a baked potato but because it was a 7 minute wait I decided to get chile instead. The guy who took my order had a super negative attitude and showed obvious signs he was not happy to be at Wendy's. Barely anyone inside and yet the people working there were moving ridiculously slow. What should have taken a few minutes through 4 customers toom over 15 min. Ordered three medium frostys and was given 3 small. Was confused only to find out the cashier rang me up for small. The fuck??? Seriously how do you confuse the word medium with small. I give it one star because I had to. The WORST fast food we have ever eaten. The "fresh" lemonade was so sour I had to throw it out. The cheeseburgers were dry and I had ordered the deluxe but there wasn't lettuce or tomato, but they charged us for deluxe. We will NEVER eat here again. I stopped at this Wendys location for lunch today and witnessed an interaction between a difficult customer and an employee. The employees name tag said "Anthony". Anthony was cleaning tables in tje lobby when an elderly gentleman placed his order. The man was originally upset about there not being a dollar menu and then more upset about the cost difference between a cheeseburger with and without bacon. He eventually decided to order one cheeseburger no bacon. Once the customer recieved his food he began to rant about the bun being soggy and took his burger back to the counter before taking a seat in the lobby. Anthony replaced the burger quickly, hand delivered it to the man at the table, offered the man water and apologized about the incident while listening to the customer offer suggestions on proper burger and bun preperation. Anthony appeared very young (teens). I was very impressed by how he handled and deescalated the situation. He was very professional. Very impressed. read more

I think I may have had the same server as a previous yelper mentioned. I VERY clearly enunciate my order, twice, and am met with a smirk, and hostility (because clearly it must be my fault she didn't understand me the first time). When I receive my order (for my my disabled child who can even pick up on her intonation and asks me why she is so rude), it's the farthest thing from what I ordered. When I mistakenly point out that his fries are missing, she proceeds to argue with me about what I ordered (so using universal language I extend fingers to demonstrate what number combo I ordered) and explain to her that Im sorry she misunderstood me, could you please correct my order............... What I get instead is her grabbing some fries, slamming them down on the tray so hard the whole restaurant turns around, eye rolling, and her stomping off! So beyond your extremely rude behavior, and poor comprehension of the language, Im left with an incorrect order for a very Autistic child to have to grapple with. What's incredibly sad, is that he was able to handle the situation better than her! Id like to say that was an isolated incident, but often the staff I encounter there seem to want to do everything other than deal with the public, and serve them. I've been to this location twice. Both times subpar meals. The first time, I ordered a Homestyle sandwich. They put the wrong (cheap) chicken patty in it. It was gross! Just today, I ordered a Chicken BLT four for $4. Sandwich was so-so with too much mayo and patty was not cooked enough.! The fries were a tad soggy. Other locations are definitely better. The one out in Eastlake seems to be the best one I have been to. The Kearny Mesa-Convoy location is also better. Fast food should not be rocket science to cook! read more

I work 5 minutes away usually any Wendy's I go to gives me a receipt, I specifically ordered a 4x4 double stack fries an drink w/ nuggets. I got my food drove back to work and only thing in the bag my burger no drink or receipt giving to me, I drive back walk-in let the lady in front know I'm missing items, she said I thought you want a double stack and drink only and argues instead of being helpful I paid $5.15 for that why would I order that when I can buy a 4x4 for $4 asked for a refund I paid with card refunded me cash with still no receipt the customer service is bad the employees Are rude which means bad management, management is suppose to lead by example it could of been an easy fix just give me what I ordered I would have left early but if they do this with one customer I can imagine how much food go to waste and money is lost do to poor management, managers should train there employees how to make the customer happy and apologize never will return used to be a repeated customer not any more jack in the box took care of me better 5 star for jack in the box on mission George. read more

I love Wendy's, however, I did not have the best experience at this particular location. I ordered some fries and found a clump of dust and hair on my fries (I was only 3 fries into eating them). I turned around and went back and got another order of fries. Big mistake!! I normally just ask for my money back, but I really wanted some fries. Anyways, I'm like 5 fries in and found 2 more strands of hair. Just to ensure you that it wasn't my hair, the hair was cooked into the fry and poking out of the end of the fry. Plus it wasn't the color of my hair. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this Wendy's ever again. read more

So given that its a chain and its a fast food one, Ill base this review on what it is and where it sits in the quality area of restaurants. Keep in mind fast food places are at the bottom rung of the ladder with regards to other restaurants that Zagat might actually review. But as far as fast food places goes, Wendy's in general is pretty decent, a bit more pricey but better food. I've always gotten much healthier (comparatively) options at Wendy's. This particular location has better service than most locations. Very infrequently do they mess up an order or give in correct change....other locations have more issues with that, along with general rudeness and un-professionalism we've all come to expect from fast food places. We haven't gone here during the middle of the work week, so we haven't experienced any long lines or rude service at the drive through, but have seen long lines there move quickly. The sit down part of the restaurant was always clean and well kept when I'd walk in and the location is very convenient if you have errands to run. The bathrooms were moderately clean, of course I've seen some very horrible bathrooms at other fast food places. Overall, in comparison to other fast food places and other Wendy's location this place deserves more stars for what its supposed to be, but its not 5 star worth. I think for it to be a 5 star place in the eyes of the bottom rung of the restaurant quality ladder, they need to make more of an effort to stay consistent, always be clean inside and never make a mistake, for that reason they lose a star. read more

So, I stopped going here after horrible customer service about one year ago. I have another Wendy's past my house, but I worked late and was tired. So tonight, I decided maybe things would have changed since the last visit. Ugh! Wendy's corporate really needs to give customer service training and English lessons to this group. After waiting an eternity and hearing the voice system go off and on and off and on, I figured it wasn't working so when my turn came at the window, I told the frizzed out, dark haired guy that I didn't order because I thought the voice system was broken and I waited as long as I could as cars were backing up behind me and there had been several cars ahead of me and it was going so sloooooowww I thought everyone was ordering at the window. Without saying why I felt that way, the guy said quite bluntly that the voice system was working. I offered to pull up further and he said no. At a great inconvenience to him, I gave him my order. I asked for six ketchups and he gave me five. The fries were on the verge of being thrown into the trash. I asked for a Coke and he gave me Dr. Pepper. I don't think the guy could have been any better at being a jerk and to top it off, he can't count or get the correct drink. And these people want $15?????? This business won't have the stadium to carry them any longer, so they better get their act together. read more

Let me start off by saying I used to eat here twice a week due to my late night schedules at work and the convenience of the location being down the street from my house. Although after today I will never go back after the customer service I received at the window. I pull through the drive through lane, say my order at the speaker, was given the price of my order, and had it read back to me for clarification as they should do. I pull up to the window at 5:10pm on 8/15/16 and I was instantly hit with attitude by the skinny Asian kid with glasses ( sorry they didn't have a visible name tag so I don't know his name). He said with extreme attitude as if what happened was my fault, and I quote, "did you order something?" I said "yes I did a number 8". Clerk- "did you use the speaker or did you just drive up?". As if implying I have never been through a drive thru in my life which is absurd. I then said " I used the speaker". Clerk turn to the back and yells at the top of his lungs "he said he used the speaker! Are you the one talking?" Another girl then hands me a small drink even though I had ordered a medium. I handed it back and asked for the medium I ordered. Now I understand they had a technical error but nonetheless the reaction to the error was rude and uncalled for and definitely soured my mood on the place. And at the end I was appreciative to have my food but when I asked the attendant if she could throw out an empty monster can for me she said they can't do that. What fast food company can't throw something out for their customer?! Is it such a big deal that you forbid anyone from taking something and putting it straight in the trash? I would love for someone from Wendy's corporation to see this and respond with why you can't possibly take an empty can and throw it away. That's ridiculous. I work all day and in a customer service field and while it may be annoying to do something extra you do it. Especially after you somehow lost my order. All in all I won't come back to this or another Wendy's due to this. While that may not seem like a big loss to a corporation as big as yours you can guarantee that if I was given this kind of customer service so are others and that number is going to add up if things continue at the mission gorge Wendy's in San diego.
