Wendy's Takis Meal Review By Louis D'Antonio, Read Write Reviews As a longtime fan of spicy foods and Takis snacks, I was eager to try Wendy's new Takis-inspired meal launched this June. The combo includes a Takis chicken sandwich, Takis fries, a bag of Takis chips, and a drink and promising a fiery, flavorful experience. First off, I have to commend the staff on-site; the manager was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which made the visit pleasant. The Takis fries were a highlight seasoned well, and packed with that signature spicy lime tang I love. The bag of Takis chips was also enjoyable, delivering that familiar crunch and heat that Takis enthusiasts crave. However, unfortunately, the star of the meal -- the Takis chicken sandwich fell flat. The chicken itself was dry and lacked flavor, and the Takis topping on the sandwich was soggy and limp, detracting from what could have been a fiery delight. As someone who appreciates spice, I was disappointed that the Takis on the sandwich couldn't deliver. Overall, while the fries and chips were solid, the sandwich didn't meet the mark, especially for fans of spicy, crunchy snacks. I'd rate this experience a 2.5 out of 5 stars. It has potential, but some improvements are needed to truly capture the Takis experience on a bun. To improve the Takis chicken sandwich, consider adding more seasoning and crunch to the chicken, and using a crunchier topping. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. Came here 15 minutes before close for fries and a frosty after driving all day. After pulling into the drive thru, I was abruptly greeted by "Sorry we're closed." I pointed out there were still 15 minutes and it was just a quick order. I have worked in fast food before and I have taken large family orders even two minutes before close. She tried saying they close at 12:50, not 1:00. (And it wasn't even 12:50 yet.) At that point a man grabbed the microphone and tried taking my order. But at that point, I did not want my food spit in so I left. Went to McDonalds instead where they apologized for my experience with Wendys and even gave me a free Mocha frap for the road! Recently came to this Wendy's to grab something to eat because there was nothing good at the gas station next door. It's a typical Wendy's but what's great about this Wendy's experience was that none of the drinks were out of stock! Food was decent, staff was okay. The cleanliness was decent as well. I Pulled up, Out of spicy nuggets,bbq sauce,cookies,potatoes... I try to order what I can. I get to the window to pay and the cashier tells me to pull up to the door to wait for fresh fries. I think since Covid staffing has been a huge problem. But current staff is not well trained and indifferent to customer needs. Best service I have gotten is in Crestwood. A much longer drive, but if craving Wendy's, worth the trip. In Tinley you take your chances. read more

No, just no. I guess this is a joking teenage job for the summer I went a couple days ago, all teenagers and all of them were on their phones. Honestly quite disgusting didn't even wash hands after touching the phone to the food with no gloves watched them from the window. Asked for a 4 for 4 with ketchup and pickle on the cheeseburger simple right? No had everything on it besides ketchup, pickle, and the cheese wasn't on there, even though I asked for a CHEESEburger. Fries, cold and hard. Asked for ketchup in the side, got 2 barbecue sauces in stead for 4 meals. The three other 4 for 4s were fine but also had cold and hard fries. My husband just left; we were asked to pull over to receive our food and once received and we started eating it, it was not fresh. I live near this Wendy's and I have been disappointed over and over again. Unless you go inside, the drive through orders are never right. If the people working there would just take 30 seconds to check the order maybe it would all be there. Yesterday my son went to get us dinner. He went about 6:00 pm and I asked him to get me a taco salad. When he got home he said I didn't know if I should get you a full or half so I got you a full size. Ok I thought. I can eat that. I've been going to this Wendy's for almost a decade and the past few years it has gotten worse. This last trip is going to be the last I go there. They had the food ready before I even paid which I though was great until I got home. The burger was cold and old, the chicken nuggets were refried and cold, the chicken grilled sandwich was cold with a bitter spring mix, and the fries were fine but cold. I had less then a 5 minute drive to get home from this location so if it was made fresh it would still be warm. I was in Wendy's restaurant at 183rd and Harlem. I heard the manager yelling at a employee. Saying that he is stupid for using sausage patties instead of burger patties. Heard the employee tell the manager he made a mistake and grabbed the wrong box. At that time the manager fired the young man. And said get your white butt out of my store. this is very racist and I will never go back to this restaurant ever again. I noticed he was the only white employee in the restaurant working. I feel bad for that employee because this is discrimination against him because he is white and the manager is African American. No manager should ever talk down to employee because of the race or their gender. This happened at noon on August 29, 2022. So I've been here plenty of times. Had some small issues but nothing major. Till tonight, I'm waiting for my food when some guy comes to the window in street clothes. Starts asking me if I'm gonna tip to tip him. After he closed the window he started looking at his phone. Some of the other employees looked to be wearing street clothes as well. Love Wendy's! Don't like this location. My problem with this location is not where it's located. It's actually in a great spot and SHOULD be a money maker for the company. It's the low caliber staff and management. I say, "staff" first because the management might not have anyone better to choose from. I say, "management" because a good manager will turn bad employees into good ones. Neither is doing their job at this location. I haven't seen employees this lazy in a long time. No one looks like they care about their jobs nor have pride in what they're doing. This location is under review for revamping and thank goodness for that. That will update the decor (which isn't too bad now) and hopefully clean the place up - a lot. Both sides of the counter are HORRIBLE. Everything is a mess. Forget having to use the bathrooms. I should call them portapotties. They're just nasty. Food is okay to pretty good but service is so slow and horrible that I half expect them say, "Here's yo shit" when they give it to me. When this place get a revamp, if I were Wendy's, I would review everyone and I mean everyone. Get rid of the people that clearly don't care about having a job let alone about doing a good job. This is the best Wendy's I've been to. Friendly people at the drive thru and behind the counter. This says a lot in a day where most fast food staff projects a bored and disinterested attitude to the customer. And special kudos to the manager Julian. I recently got my order messed up at the drive thru and Julilan gave me a free replacement the next time it was convenient for ME to come in. We are all human and humans make mistakes...but it is how we make up for those mistakes that define our commitment to the customer. Julian is top notch! read more
