Friendly without being pushy, had no issue with us stopping by to just eat something after we had had a really disappointing experience at another restaurant. Stopped by during New Year's eve to check this place out and to get a drink. Karaoke seems to be a big deal here at 9 PM and they had a lot of food options that you could get late in the night which was cool! They also are open for breakfast and lunch where it seems like lots of people really enjoy their food. The bouncer outside was really nice and told us about the karaoke right away. It was a cool place but wasn't very lively around 7-8:30 PM (definitely earlier in the night). So it was super easy to get a spot! My Mai Tai was good and I loved the cute glass it was in. We came here on a holiday for brunch around 11am and the restaurant was almost about full! Luckily there was so bar seating so we were able to get seated immediately. We then ordered food at the bar, which went pretty smoothly. We ordered a Country Fried Steak and the Steak Scramble. It's fun they also have a live DJ here too. Although, the wait for our food took wayyyy longer than it should have. We waited about 30 minutes for our food to get to our table, and it just soured our appetite for it. We got the country fried steak first, which was my bf's dish, and he said it tasted like it was "sitting out for awhile"... This was really disappointing as we had waited for a long while for our food. Then came the steak scramble, which felt like it was freshly made compared to the first dish. Taste test, I mainly had the steak scramble, which I thought it was pretty good. I feel that this type of dish would taste even better with alcohol, but I just wanted food lol. My bf's comments about the country fried steak was that it was just "okay", maybe because it wasn't as freshly made. Overall, we wanted to like this place, but the wait just made it not as worth it. Came here for a Birthday dinner last Saturday night with a large group (~20+ people), the food and drinks were amazing and can't say enough how much I appreciate the staff and service here. Ruby was the first person I spoke with when I initially called, and she was lovely. The general manager Amber made planning easy - there were no deposits or minimums, I was able to order platters in advance, and she was great with communication. When I mentioned that the group loved Rumplemintz shots, Amber even set some aside after ordering extra bottles (and had it cold and ready when we came in). I was able to meet and thank Amber after we first came in, and she was so warm and welcoming and even gave us a few Rumplemintz shots on the house to kick things off (thank you again, Amber!). The reviews don't lie in terms of how good the food here is. When we arrived a little early, they had our platters ready almost immediately and kept them well-heated. We had platters of the sticky garlic wings and a mix of the garlic and regular fries, and ordered pretzels and queso and the elote dip à la carte for the tables. Everything was amazing and the sticky garlic wings and garlic fries were such a hit that we ordered a few extra plates of them as well (even though the platters were perfect for our group size). EVERYONE raved about them. We had a small amount left to bring home that were enjoyed the next evening and were still amazing after being reheated. A few people in our party got additional food items as well (burgers) and they were hits as well. The drinks were also phenomenal, with a special shoutout for the espresso martini and the Purple Haze mocktail (that a few folks liked so much they got an alcoholic version). We had a person in our group who can't drink and it was nice to see how inclusive they are with having a few signature mocktail options. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for the platters (they were perfectly sized, and we only ordered a little extra because the food was so good and we'd wanted to take some home). Highly recommend getting platters with a larger group here - you can pre-order and they keep everything well-heated for you the whole time. Most importantly, this place is a vibe and every single staff member we interacted with was SO KIND and accommodating. The service was top-notch and I wish I had everyone's names to thank them individually (thanks to everyone working Saturday, 8/1 evening!). Brunch is always great. I've tried the country fried steak and it was delicious, had the pork belly burger this time and it was great. Large portions both times. Garlic fries are good and their ranch is flavorful. Only thing to note is that when a DJ is playing for brunch, it gets LOUD. We did a little staycation this weekend and decided to stop by for brunch. They had multiple games on the tv, and were able to put the packers on for us. Music was popp'n too! One of the best boozey brunches I've had in SD, and definitely the best one in downtown!! I love the vibes, it's vibrant and loud work great music, but still able to have a fun convo. Curious by how many pictures of the same order were posted on Yelp, I decided to follow suit and ordered the Pork Belly Benedict. They give you three small Benedicts with a flavorful egg, juicy and fatty pork, and a sweet-tasting biscuit that amazed me. Never had a benedict like it before. I would say, my meal came out later than everyone else's dishes, so I felt like I needed to rush eating as we were trying to make it somewhere in time. The ambiance here was WILD! There were a lot of people - groups, dancing, talking, TVs, screaming (b/c sports), laughter, lots of light, craziness, it seems a little chaotic, but it works. This place is an absolute blast. We came on a Thursday night, and they had karaoke going. I'm not exaggerating when I say everyone could actually sing. It made the whole night even more fun. They played a great mix of music so there was something for everyone. The place was packed and full of energy. The inside is super cute and has a fun, welcoming vibe. They even have complimentary popcorn and a charging station for your phone. The bartenders were exceptionally friendly and impressively quick with service, even with how busy it was.
