New tire fell off car after buying it from here
    Malissa M.

This was the worst place! They sold me a bad tire & they didn't secure it to the car. I drove 2 blocks from the shop and the tire flew off & they messed up my car!!!

My son and I brought his 2017 Lexus to West tire and muffler shop to have a high performance exhaust muffler system put in.The vehicles check engine light kept going on and off on and off. After I brought it back to complain about the issue it was raised up in the air again and they filled in some welds where there were carbon dioxide leaks they told me that needed to be filled in.Then they cleared the codes. The check engine lights would keep coming on again and we could smell some exhaust and gasoline as well. I called them back up and asked to speak to the owners multiple times and apparently I was on the phone with the owner son from what I was told on the phone.Never heard anything back. After a week went by the Brother-In-Law apparently would relay the message then a secretary would relate the message and so on and we would get nowhere at all week and week. After speaking to apparently from what I was told on the phone that this was the owner son again that he relayed the message to the father and waiting back for a reply. After going back-and-forth for two months we had enough of the nonsense and took my sons vehicle to a Lexus repair shop and had a new gas tank put in due to they scarred a small cut in the tank with a saw of some sort and a new exhaust systems put in. We went from a $500 job to a $2000 dollar job. We filed multiple complaints on this business with government agencies and they are aware and also This business will not reply back to them as well and they will be dealt with in a timely manner. Please have your work Repaired and inspected by professionals so you don't waste your Time and hard-working money.

I was working for hershberger welding and lived too far away walk. I went looking for a transmission repair shop and everyone was telling me that it would be 3 weeks to fix. After further research as to why it would take so long I found out every shop was removing transmissions and taking them to 1st choice to rebuild. I immediately went to 1st choice I can't remember the owners name but his son went to school with my boss Dave that was back in 2015.anyway i never got a chance to put in this review he was very understanding to my situation and fixed my truck in 3 days! Being new to Vegas, I was searching everywhere for a reasonably priced, trustworthy mechanic. After…read morecalling around for quotes on my truck's coolant leak, most places quoted outrageous prices. These guys were by far the most reasonable, so I decided to take a chance and bring my truck in. Best decision I've made since moving here! From the moment I walked in, they were incredibly patient with all my questions. They took the time to explain everything clearly and suggested starting with a proper diagnostic to accurately identify the issues. After the diagnostics, they were completely honest about what was wrong and provided a detailed quote upfront for the repairs. Since that first visit, my truck has run better than ever. Every time I bring it in--whether for a coolant leak, AC replacement, or routine maintenance--they do quality work. When my AC went out, they replaced it and now it blows colder and runs smoother than it ever has before. Just recently, I brought it in for a regular maintenance check and spark plug change. Once again, they were upfront and showed me the wear and tear on other parts that needed attention. What I appreciate most is that they never pressure you. They simply explain the issues, give you a fair quote, and let you decide what to do and when. In a world where honesty and transparency in auto repair are hard to find, these guys stand out. They're knowledgeable, educational, and genuinely care about doing things right. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable mechanic in Las Vegas!

They were kind enough to let me come in later in the day and got everything installed quickly and professionally. The owner/mechanic was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and took the time to talk with me and make sure everything was done right. The whole process was smooth and honestly one of the best experiences I've had at an auto shop. It's rare to find businesses that are this accommodating and genuinely kind to their customers. I highly recommend them if you're looking for honest, helpful service.

Have been contemplating whether or not to write a review. Have been coming to this shop for over 4…read moreyears and had been making referrals to anyone that needed an honest and affordable mechanic. Sadly, I no longer believe this to be true of this shop. And to be clear, I think the tech is doing most of this and maybe the owner isn't aware but it's hard to tell who is the source of the problem. The last two times I have had a poor experience. Last summer (June 2024) I had a check engine light on and needed the evap purge value solenoid replaced. Got it done plus a new gas gap and was charged about $460. The parts alone were (44 for the solenoid and 16.93 for gas cap - found online and at autozone for comparable pricing). I was charged $198 for parts and another $250 for the labor. I asked about this up-charge as it didn't make sense to me. I was then told by the tech that I had a leak due to a small crack in the vapor canister as well but it was "fixed" and this wouldn't show up on the print out because they were doing me a solid, and I was good to go (where the up-charge supposedly came in- as it was explained to me). Ok fine, cool, appreciate it. Car fixed, move on. Come February 2025, my check engine light came on again and I would be unable to pass smog due to it reading a similar code to June 2024. It turns out this time it's a bigger crack and the vapor canister needed to be replaced - so my issue in June 2024 wasn't fixed, got worse, and was now going to be expensive to fix. I needed to have it fixed immediately because I needed to pass smog and renew my registration. The part runs for $195 - again found online and autozone for comparable pricing. I was charged $433 for parts and another $470 for labor. However I did ask for an oil change this time so that's some of that labor cost and possible part cost. I still don't understand why it was $433 in parts and why I needed to get it replaced when it was supposedly fixed 8 months prior. When I talked to the tech about this, he went on and on about how it was a different code, I stated you told it me it got fixed so you're admitting that you didn't fix it in June after all. Well no, it's a different code and so on and so on (yeah for a big crack this time). The reason for my review after a considerable amount of time is that a similar situation just happened to my wife. Quoted one thing, parted out a price for something that's under warranty, and having to pay a large amount for labor also reporting the brakes would be this much with charging $175-200 and hour for labor which would take two hours do change the brakes. The brake job was declined as it can be done cheaper elsewhere and then come to find out another service needed to be completed now that wasn't first stated. Seems like they got to make their money one way or another. After declining adding the brake job, the tech became upset and had an attitude. We had been waiting for a call on whether to pick up the car or not, didn't get a call but got a text about 2 hours after closing. When my wife went in the next day to pay and pick up the car, she talked to the owner about her experience with the tech and she was shushed. Literally shushed. Incredible! The same tech that told her prior that he worked in another shop where he was told to go find something wrong with every car that came in. Seems like he carried this same mentality and practice when he came to this shop. I get times are harder in this growing/harsh economy, but some things are just wrong. I'm not sure if it is just the mechanic standard to up-charge so much so "we can make money," something they do to take advantage of women (being up-charged because we "don't know any better") or if this is a newer process for this shop. Whatever way you cut it, it's wrong and I'd look elsewhere.
