WONDERFUL vet! We recently moved, but still drive 45+ mins just to bring our dog here as no other vet near us was as attentive, caring, and helpful as West Boca. In our puppy's first year, they were willing to help us through every minor and major illness or concern, never making us feel like "crazy pet owners". Every penny they charge is 100% worth it. We recently moved. I had taken our kitty to see Dr. Simons once before and she was very nice as was the staff. I just took our kitty in for a teeth cleaning and we consulted with Dr. Kuehnel. He discussed the fact that, since our boy has some level of kidney issues, it presents some potential problems for anesthesia. After fully evaluating all the facts, the dr said, and I agreed, it was not worth the risk. I am so appreciative of the fact that he really looked at the file and my fur baby and that he wasn't only out for the money. I can see why this place is so well-reviewed. Our Vet recently retired and we were referred to WBV by a friend. Our 7 year old Wheaten rescue developed intermittent seizures. We called, they took us in as an emergency,evaluated a neurology issue prescribed medication and have referred us to a specialist. Called us the next day to see how we were doing. My wife and I very recently moved to Delray Beach, Fl and immediately needed a Veterinarian for our sick dog/best friend, "Spike." Spike had a severe ear infection (Mersa) and difficulty with breathing. The West Boca Veterinary Center gave us an appointment right away, had two visits with Spike the first week - and thru their vast knowledge and incredible kindness, Spike is on the way to full recovery. Both the doctors and their staff have been empathetic, patient and extremely concerned. We have received follow up phone calls after each visit, and not just to say hello but with specific questions concerning Spike's issues. In addition, our son is a Veterinarian up north, and he too stated that he was extremely impressed with their analysis and all they have done. They are absolutely the BEST!!!! And, this is a real review. I'm not a friend of anyone in this office! I just started taking my 2 elderly cats to Dr. Kim. She came highly recommended to me by a close friend. One of my cats is blind, has kidney disease and has high blood pressure. Dr. Kim not only stabilized her, she has given her a new lease on life!!!! Both my cats are at least 100 years in human life. The times we have been in for appointments they are very conscientious about getting you taken care of as quickly as possible while still giving you time to ask any questions you have. Really appreciate the welcome packet/binder given to us to keep track of our pet's health records! Our dog has been to this vet a few times already and they gave us some great recommendations to help our pudgy Beagle mix drop some weight in a healthy way. Did not feel as though they are just out to take your money. As some reviewers have mentioned they could be a lot better with follow-up calls which is why I didn't give 5 stars. On the other hand when we were new patients they made sure our cat received a prescription for his special food after we were unsuccessful in getting it from our previous vet. This helps prove to me that they do care about our animals despite the lack of follow-up calls. I have recommended this vet to a friend of ours. Length of time with this vet so far is almost one year at the time of writing this review. read more

i had been a customer since 2012,per their records i spent over $10.000 dollars during this period.WBVC has changed since i first started using them.all my recent visits have been with different vetarians who have no knowledge of my dog.their office staff has also changed dramatically,my main concern started when my maltese got a tumor on her paw which was quite large, when i brought my dog in for this issue the vet i was assigned said they wouldn't be able to treat her for over 10 days.i said i would go to another vet if that was the best they could do,they than said they could do it in a week,i again said that wasn't good enough ,my dog was in pain,they finally said they could do it in 2 days which i accepted.i was then given a appointment for followup with a business card that was bar coded ,when i showed up for visit i was told i didn't have a appointment and was turned away, i have had other problems with their staff and i asked to speak to a principal owner, i was told i had to speak to their operations manager to voice my concerns after the incident with my dogs tumor and other problems i had with their staff,i never got a call from their operatio manager in october when i had oringinally complained.i've had problem getting a prescription for my dogs dry food,after 2weeks trying to get the prescription to Purina i asked them to give me the prescription .when i again asked if i could speak to a owner i was told that would'nt be possible.they really didn't care if i didn't use their services. their charges are exorbitant but i never challenged their bills,the ownership has lost their control of their staff and no one seems to care if a customer who has been using them for over 8 years and has paid them over $10.000 during that period left them. they lost whatever compassion they had fo their patients.if your lookng for compassionte vet with reasonable fee find someone else. read more

First time at this center and my husband and I are totally impressed. The front desk people and the groomer are unbelievably awesome! Brought our 5 month "feisty" toy poodle in for a grooming and she came out looking like a princess. Now my husband wants to fly down from Connecticut every time Lexie needs a grooming! Having been a loyal Clintmore Animal Hospital customer for many years I decided to stop being part of an expensive 3 ring circus where the animals definitely suffered and knew, after attending the grand opening of West Boca that my hard earned dollars could be better spent at an ectremely caring facility where the Dr.'s take all the time necessary to make sure that all concerns have been addressed in a timely fashion. Being my time is valuable I also became very disenchanted with having to wait more then 1 hour on several occasions to be seen by Dr. Butzer. I was definitely willing to forego the water fountain in the driveway, the topiary animal shaped bushes, and all of the other unnecceary ammenities that Clintmoore offered, The entire staff at west Boca are always smiling, welcome you warmly, and never fail to make your fur baby feel comfortable. Couldn't ask for anything more. My 5lb. Maltese Service dog who goes by the name of Goliath never has liked going to the vets, but at least I do not have to pick him up and carry him in to see the great staff, and now Goliath has a fur baby sister cat who will also become a patient and receive the best of care, in an immaculate, friendly facility. My family and I adopted a Shitzu two years ago, at first she was very shy and she would get sick all the time. She absolutely hated the vet. We started taking Luna here I think just about a year and a half ago, and she loves it. She gets everything done here from her grooming to all her vaccines and check ups . I couldn't ask for anything better and more convenient. Everybody is friendly, they do a great job with the grooming, she always looks stunning afterwards. The place is clean and well organized. I believe they only go by appointments? but either way its great ! They are very professional vets and if you have any questions they'll make sure to answer absolutely any concerns. as long as Luna is happy and healthy so are we. read more

I went to WBVC after reading the positive reviews on yelp and google, and I have to say everything that I read about this place was accurate. WBVC offers reasonable rates for their services (and even will price match prescriptions with Petmeds.com), and the staff did not pressure me into any of the alternative/additional services they offer. The staff at the front desk were very warm and welcoming, and the veterinary assistants were extremely sweet with my dog. Dr. Kuehnel appeared to be a very kind and knowledgeable, and was patient with the various questions I asked. The office in itself is extremely clean and well run from an administrative point of view, and overall everyone in the office seemed to love what they do. I am very happy that I found a professional and reasonably priced vet for my pets' needs. I will certainly be returning when my dog needs veterinary care, as well as fully intend to bring my cat in when it comes time for his annual vet visit. read more

We were long time clients at Boca Greens Animal Hospital, and felt it was time for a change after so many good Dr's had left there.It also go run down. We found Dr. Gregg Kuehnel at WBVC because it was so close to our home. It was the BEST vet experience we ever had in 12 years. The place is sooo clean! It even has a play area for toddlers with Kids Toys that are super clean! Our appt. was actually on time, and the entire staff and the Dr. were extremely caring and professional. Our new puppy had a limp and Dr. Gregg could have easily pushed the X-Ray's on us and collected a nice chunk of change HOWEVER- he really felt it was a soft tissue injury and if it was not better in a few days- then we could spend the money on the X-rays! wow- so honest. And indeed - it was a soft tissue injury- got better in a few days. Just like he said. If you want a caring, honest vet that actually explains options and does not guilt you- then this is the place. By the way- they are extremely organized- gave us a folder to take home to keep out paperwork together and a picture of our pup to hang on the fridge. Oh, and the place has so many air fresheners, you would never know it was animals they take care of. Overall, I can be very picky and critical and must say- I was impressed. read more
