Update 2/2026 Proof…read moreNo. 5 has officially become one of my all-time suburban favorites. I've been here many times for brunch and dinner, and it truly never disappoints. This visit was extra meaningful because they quite literally saved my birthday evening. We had reservations at the new Bien Trucha in Wheaton, only to arrive and find it closed... with no notice. Not exactly festive. Enter Proof No. 5, swooping in like the culinary hero of the night. We enjoyed an exquisite tuna crudo, rich and beautifully balanced, and meatballs over polenta that felt like comfort dressed up for a celebration. The medallions with mushrooms and three sauces were excellent, layered, and deeply satisfying. And the cocktails? Some of the best crafted in the suburbs. Thoughtful, balanced, and dangerously easy to order a second. Warm atmosphere, consistently great food, and a team that delivers every time. We'll keep coming back. And back. And back.

Found out this place is closing soon and really sad I can't try all their dishes. Shared the Whipped Feta with olive spread on naan bread and gluten free bread. Really delicious and light and creamy. Had the wagon rider non alcoholic cocktail. Hint of raspberry and lime. My main meal I had the roasted beets salad and added salmon. Had the right amount of dressing. There were air dried and roasted beets. Get the crunch from air dried beets and pistachios. Also had a Light sweet taste. Have option to add steak, salmon, or chicken. Choose the salmon and was cooked perfectly. Very flaky and moist. There is free parking on the streets and not far from the parking garage.

The spot itself is decorated beautifully. Indoor and out, this was very well thought out. It is a cute yet sophisticated place to grab coffee (or adult drinks), get some work done, or meet up with a few friends and just enjoy. The outdoor patio is beauuuuutiful. If you look at photos before it was a patio, wowwwww. It needed a lot of TLC and that is exactly what it got. I stopped in during a weekday morning and asked the staff member what was the most popular coffee drink. She said it was the amaretto latte which I did end up ordering. This is probably the only coffee place that carries amaretto syrup. My advice? Get it, you might not be able to try it anywhere else. It's nutty, sweet and delicious. Prices are on the higher side, however, it's a small and locally owned coffee shop. I might be wrong but this might actually be the only small and locally owned coffee shop in Warrenville. I also forgot my sunglasses and they let us sit at a 4-seated table instead of a 2 on a Fri evening, just so I could have some shade for my eyes. It's a pretty casual, tiny spot with giant TVs playing sports. There's also a bar. It's connected to Atlas Chicken so you can order from either restaurant which is nice. When I came here for dine-in awhile back, my experience wasn't great as the waiter and kitchen staff got our order wrong. We were given the wrong salad, but our waiter let us keep the wrong salad and gave us the correct one. There was also missing pizza toppings, but he still charged us for the missing toppings. We had to ask him to take off the charge. The take-out is easy and quick. They also offer their slushees (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to-go which is cool. Their pizza is Detroit style and is decent. If you don't like burnt crust edges and less sauce than cheese, you probably won't like this style of pizza. I do wish the crust was a bit thicker. I tried some of the bourbon peach tea slushee and it was refreshing! If I go there to dine-in again, I'll get one. They have 50% off pizzas on Monday so I'd like to come back for that deal.
