Our heater broke last night and we called on a Saturday to get a quote. I spoke with the receptionist and they said someone would call us back. Within a hour Josh called us back and we discussed the issue. He was so friendly, patient and helped walk us through troubleshooting ideas and said he would come out if the troubleshooting did not work. After getting bids from multiple AC companies for a whole new install, plus removal of the home original 1950's built in furnace, we went with West Coast Air Conditioning. Right off the bat, Letti made us feel like we had someone who cared about what we needed in an AC system and she walked us through our options, explaining everything with great detail. Nate mapped out the install, looking for the best way to maximize the efficiency of the system while accommodating our vision as well. The install team made up of Guillermo, Sal, Lawrence, Gary and Jesus came ready each morning, always made sure we knew what the day would entail, were extremely respectful, a pleasure to have in your home and cleaned up at the end of each day. We had an issue with one of the mini splits the first day after install, I called West Coast and they sent someone out within an hour or two. My wife and I recently contracted West Coast Air Conditioning to replace our condenser and furnace, both original to our unit (built early 90's). They were one of three companies we got quotes from. Ben came out to our house, assessed our situation relatively quickly. We received an estimate that evening and spent the next few days mulling things over before ultimately deciding to go with them. Their offer was the best of the three, they didn't upsell us, and we also considered the other reviews on here. The installation of the units was done by Guillermo and Tanin. They laid down work cloths as it had drizzled that morning - all in all, they kept things clean. They worked efficiently and were pleasant in explaining things and also just casually conversing. One issue that they ran into occurred when they tried to place the new furnace. Apparently, the attic has joists going in different directions making it impossible to move the new furnace into a good spot. My wife and I thought, "uh-oh, this is gonna cost us." But ultimately, Guillermo and Tanin took care of us without further costs incurred. Tanin came back the next day to finish up the installation, made sure everything worked properly. When I had an issue with my newly installed wi-fi thermostat (which I screwed up) Nick responded to my rescue. He was both knowledgeable and efficient. He discovered that I had accidently blown a 5 amp system fuse and replaced it without issue. My thermostat works great now. We needed our furnace replaced and wanted to add air conditioning. I'm a pretty technical guy but not when it comes to heating and air. The first call I made was to West Coast Air and they set me up an appointment with Letti. All I can say about Miss Letti is WOW. Incredibly knowledgeable, nice, thorough and most of all not rushed. She answered every question I had and told me to get my other estimates. Well after a "no show", an outrageous quote, a no call back and a good quote but too far, I called Letti back. We went over a few items and before I knew it Nate was here for a walk through. After his walk through, he confirmed that the installation would be Monday morning. Lo and behold, Monday morning Alex and Aaron show up on time to do the installation. From the second they walked in to the minute they left, they treated my home as if it was their mom's. These two are thorough, clean, friendly and super easy to chat with. They replaced the entire system from furnace, ducts, registers, thermostat etc. and added air conditioning. Upon completion Alex explained everything in detail and let me know that if I had ANY issues to call. We've used them for more than ten years. However, when we had a servicemen come out to fix our thermostat on one of the 7 units at our office, he also looked at one of the compressors. He claimed it was over-charged, funny , since they are the ones who had been servicing us for a decade or more. Then he took out 5 pounds of freon. The unit stopped working. The next day their expert team came out and wrote us an estimate for about $18,000 (eighteen thousand dollars !!!!). We called another commercial company. Guess what, they refilled the unit, removed wires that West Coast rigged inside the unit to keep it from working and suddenly, there was no problem. We're pretty upset and disgusted by this type of behavior and how many people at their company had to collude to try and cheat us out of a ton of money! read more

However their technician Igor was incompetent by installing a gas valve that was installed wrong and left while it was running and it could not be shut off. My wife asked him to look at it again before he left but he refused saying it was ok and to wait another 20 minutes. I arrive an hour later and the internal temperature of the residence was 80. It could not be turned off by the digital control. Only by the breaker. Igor returned the same day because of orders from the boss. He was irritated with both my wife and myself and was rude and unprofessional and did not resolve or finish the installation. Not what we expected from such a finely rated company. Hope his boss teaches him some manners and can habe patience to teach this technician how to efficiently perform the service better. read more

I had gotten a recommendation from a friend to try West Coast Air conditioning. and so I called and made an appt. Nick showed up (with mask on) and within a very short time he'd diagnosed the problem, and got to fixing it. We had air going in record time. Nick was professional and clearly knew what he was doing. After couple other technicians came to troubleshoot our mobile home heater which couldn't turn on, they all suggested for a new heater unit which costs lots of money. With my last attempt to West Coast Air, that came a wonderful technician Chad. He was on time and began his diagnostic right away. He was able to improvise something to turn on the igniter and was successfully get it back online. Chad beats all those older technicians who just can't spend time to troubleshoot and only to sell the newer units.
