Quality product on budget and on time. Our residential heating system was built in 1960. It was the last big home project in our home. Had estimates from three years ago but scared away from addressing the situation at that time due to the high cost. Now was the time. Critically important was a integration of heating and cooling systems that would be energy efficient while cleaning the air. Better air quality is a priority. We needed a/c support for our large west facing bedroom and decided to consider ductless a/c. We researched the industry and decided that Mitsubishi had the best product and then researched the contractors installing them. West Coast Air Conditioning was one of three I called. West Coast has a great reception/scheduling person that got us an appointment for an on-site visit by their sales rep. within a few days. Ben Hummer arrived, on time, and did a full accessment of our needs and recommended a 15,000 btu Mitsubishi unit as we have 15 foot ceilings in the bedroom and he wanted the unit to have the extra power to not be running longer to cool the room. We agree, and within the same day, Ben emailed his bid to me. To my surprise the price was less than a competitor who wanted to sell me a 12,000 btu unit and not a Mitsubishi. Ben was very knowledgeable and easy to work with and always available. In one week Nate and Josh came to install the system. They were on time and took less than 6 hours to install and test the unit. Their work was excellent. They also mentioned that the 15,000 btu units were backlogged so the company gave us an 18,000 unit so we would not have to wait and be inconvenienced!!! Where do you see that type of corporate concern nowadays?? The unit worked great for a few days but shut down due to a short in a wire from our main circuit breaker (not a fault of the unit or the installation), so I called Ben at West Coast and they had a repair person out at my house in 3 hours to check the problem. I eventually needed an electrician to replace a burned out old wire and West Coast gave me a great referral, Infinity Electric, who came out shortly and fixed my problem at a reasonable cost. We now have a nice cool bedroom, the unit is whisper quiet and we could not be happier... Thank you West Coast: Ben, Nate, Josh and John from Infinity Electric... Just had my very old downstairs air conditioning system, which was not working due to a refrigerant leak, replaced by West Coast Air Conditioning. The entire experience was absolutely terrific. My old condenser was 14 years old and my evaporator coils and duct work were 32 years old. The West Coast representative, Letti Anderson, who came to my home to assess my old system and provide me with a free quote for a new system was wonderful. I could tell she was very honest and did not try to give me a hard sell on anything, and the next day provided me with a quote to replace my system, including condenser, evaporator, furnace, and all of the duct work for both downstairs and upstairs. The quote was much less than any of the other HVAC companies that I contacted, who I might add were not very reliable in terms of getting back to me. On the morning of my installation, four big West Coast trucks showed up with an army of technicians headed up by Frank, Erwin, and Miguel. Frank, who was the foreman for the installation, was fantastic and extremely personable, friendly, and professional. The crew laid down tarps throughout my house and were very respectful to maintain cleanliness throughout the installation. The installation itself required 1 1/2 days and they made sure that the duct work for the upstairs air conditioner (which was not replaced) was completed on the first day so that I still had air conditioning upstairs. Now, with the new system up and running, my downstairs is now like an Igloo. If you are considering replacing an old AC system, my recommendation is to look no further than West Coast Air Conditioning. This company is wonderful! I'm writing this review from my chilly living room, all thanks to West Coast Air Conditioning. After getting the run around during a heat wave I came across West Coast Air Conditioning and was immediately relieved at the level of customer service I received. Within a day of so of speaking to Ben he made accommodations to come out to my home and give an estimate. Since my whole unit was shot I had to replace everything which was no easy job during 100 degree weather. I also decided that since the whole unit had to be replaced and ducts redone that I would rather move the unit to the attic for more space and less noise. Ben assured me this was no issue and easy to do in my home. What was great during the inspection was that he spent the time to walk me through everything and explain in detail what needed to be done and gave me options to save money. He assured me I would have a quote by the end of the day which I did. Just like in the inspection he outlined a variety of options in the detailed quote with an installation date. The quote was competitive with other bids I had received but the customer service was unparralled so I scheduled with them right away. When the West Cost team arrived (Nate and Dean), they checked the current system thoroughly, walked me through everything explaining what they were going to do and then immediately got to work. They were very respectful of my home, cleaning as they went and super friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and have already recommended them to a few people. Who knew you could brag about HVAC companies at a dinner party but I have! The Lead Service Technician Rich came yesterday Jan 6, on time. He gave us details of what services we needed to have for a new furnace installed. He scheduled the installation, the next day Jan 7. (We had been without heat for at least a month, until we decided it was time. It's been very cold). The installation couldn't have gone any smoother. The technicians/installers were here promptly at 8am. The process took sometime because the old junk had to be disassembled, brought out and a few items had to be configured. But overall, I was so happy! Eli and Sal were the two men working on the installation. I witnessed great team work, with Eli doing some quality inspecting, there was a new exhaust pipe replaced on the roof-it looks great, the idea of having it the black made it look sharp. Very professional, they were very detail orientated. Eli and I communicated well. Eli provided a mini lesson on how to operate the furnace. A safety shutoff was explained as well. He confirmed all vents were flowing, as I requested. Eli also provided a mini lesson on how the new thermostat operated. (My generation operated with a visible pilot light). This new furnace operation was certainly all new to me. I did request an abatement process soon. Eli explained how the abatement would play Eli called Ben, to ensure I would get a call tomorrow to setup the next step for this home. I cannot say enough about the all the quality of the professionals, the promptness which I received. The clean up was great too. This company is outstanding. West Coast Air Conditioning, great group of people and wonderful service! Letti came over to give the initial bid and has a sparkling personality. She is very knowledgeable and answered all questions that we had and provided a bid to us the same day. Nate came by the day before the install to put together a list of parts. He walked us through what they would do and where best to place the equipment. Nate was very pleasant and provided us with excellent information. Guillermo and Andy did the installation, and are both really great and easy to work with. Both were very knowledgable about the process and the equipment. We work from home, so they were careful to stay out of our way and always very polite when they had a question or needed something from us. I was very impressed by their attention to detail, they really take pride in their work and it shows. They plumbed the air conditioning condensate drain line into our washing machine drain pipe and hid most of it out of sight. They kept everything very clean, even when removing our old ducting, which was mostly cracked and useless. They both went out of their way to make sure that we understood the new system and how best to maintain it. Now we have cold air for those hot days and our heating works twice as good and much faster than before. Really great company, and very professional and easy to work with people. We had a very positive experience in our dealing with West Coast Air Conditioning. This occurred on the heels of a very bad experience with another Ventura County operator. We recognized that we needed a new furnace and ductwork. The West Coast representative, Letti Anderson, visited with us, gathered information in a very professional manner, and then, the same day, submitted a detailed proposal showing several equipment options. After we reviewed the proposal and Letti answered several questions, the company was just as responsive in doing the installation. On the first day, team leader Adam and his son, Aaron, showed up slightly early for the install and respectfully explained what they would be doing. They completed their work, checked out the equipment and advised, as expected, that they would return the following day for the ductwork. Again, on the second day, Adam and Aaron arrived slightly early, accompanied by a third crew member, Erwin. This part of the work involved removing old ductwork from the attic (very dirty work) and installing the new ductwork. The guys were very respectful of our property and I was amazed that I could not find any residual dirt/dust left behind in the house. Excellent experience and service from start to finish. My HVAC stopped working right when this cold spell hit Ventura. I called West Coast because of the reviews on here and other sites. The "preferred vendor" for my condo complex was NOT West Coast and that vendor had horrible reviews. My one and only phone conversation with the other vendor was ridiculous and frustrating enough - and thankfully I was able to go with another vendor - and West Coast kept getting recommended to me. The customer service scheduling person was very friendly and easy to work with - I needed an afternoon appointment and we set it up. Someone called to confirm the appt on the morning of (That was cool since I was going to call them to confirm since I took the afternoon off work) Josh showed up on time and we went up to the roof where there were a bunch of AC units! He had me go downstairs and shut mine off so he could isolate which one was mine. Once that was done, he let me know about the problem - a capacitor or something (I don't claim to understand! But a capacitor is in Back To The Future right? Haha) That didn't get it working fully though - apparently it also needed coolant (or some type of fluid). When our 17-year-old AC went toes up during a heat wave in September 2024, we called three local companies for estimates to replace the entire HVAC system. Letti came out for a consultation. She was professional and knowledgeable, and submitted the most reasonable proposal, which was substantially less than the other companies. The equipment she proposed was top notch. We chose her bid, and she maintained excellent communications with us throughout the process, keeping us advised and being very responsive when we had questions. On the day of the install, Alex, Gary, and Ethan arrived as planned to start the job. They were all polite, friendly, and efficient young men. They were careful to follow applicable codes, and worked well as a team during installation process. They were respectful of us, our home and property, and responsive when we had questions. A permit was required for installation and Letti coordinated that duty with Justin and secured the permit in a timely manner. Once the job was completed, Doreen was helpful in scheduling the required inspection, which went smoothly, and the installation and equipment passed the state's inspection without issue. We are very pleased with the service we received from West Coast Air Conditioning and all their staff during the process, and the equipment is serving us well. We recommend them highly. I have been using West Coast Air Conditioning or many many years! They installed my air conditioning and home HEPA system. They are well priced, professional, on time and give you excellent customer service. It's rare that I give reviews, but I feel this company deserves it ! I enjoy that they give me reminders to come out every six months to maintain my system. Recently my 23 year old heater was acting up and they were great. They did not try to sell me a new heater. They say oh you just need this part or that part and boom it's repaired and functioning beautifully! What I like is I have had the same technician for sometime now and that tells you something about a company when they retain their employees that means that they care, they are family owned and I highly highly recommend them. Joby Riddke has been amazing maintaining our system over the last few years! Always courteous, on time, extremely knowledgeable and explains everything, and never leaves a mess. You guys are awesome! I always enjoy talking to Jim in the office. He's always so wonderful and truthful about information. In fact this is true. I called him to inquire about duct cleaning and he actually told me that it wasn't necessary for my situation and saved me a bundle he was honest he could've sold me a duck cleaning service. BUYERS AND ENVIRONMENTALISTS BEWARE*****Contracted for what we thought was a simple AC add and asbestos ducting removal to a 1970s circa Camarillo home. Entire system was in fine condition but we were told about asbestos laden duct work and its hazards so we moved forward. We thought everything was 'fine' and we paid them the full amount on the two-stage contract. THEN WE FOUND out that they didn't use a licensed asbestos abatement subcontractor when we asked for "paperwork" to support the removal/disposal of the waste material and insurance certificates for our files. We were alerted to several potential hazards when the new system failed an efficiency test. There were cracks in the most of the ducting boots so the new system failed and turns out not all the asbestos was removed. We did pay out thousands of additional $ for a series of air quality and asbestos surface tests. We eventually were forced to hire new licensed asbestos abatement and HVAC contractors to finish the needed work when WCAC abandoned the job. This was a terrible experience we would not like to relive or have you experience. Customer service; workmanship and integrity have little value here. This experience ended a 20-year relationship we had with the Residential Sales Manager, who we considered an A team member in our Property Management Company. read more

I wish 10 stars was an option! After a nightmare go-around with a home warranty company, I was referred to Bryan and Ben (leader of the residential division). Ben contacted me right away and came to my house first thing after a holiday weekend. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. Polite, professional, knowledgeable, and respectful -- he promised he'd take care of me and he did just that! I had a quote in hand that same day. The guys came to my house the next week; Alex and Nate were super friendly and nice, and got to work right away, covering everything and taking every precaution to be clean and efficient. The missed no detail, however minor -- I have a crack in my concrete from my previous AC unit and Nate checked to make sure if it was OK to have it showing or if he should pull out the new unit enough to cover it up. The work was done in one day and I even got a call before they left my home to go over some information and let me know it was done. On top of all of that, Ben called me the next day to check in! This company is the absolute BEST -- hands down. Their price was beyond reasonable and these guys are the best to work with (and I used to work for a contractor, so I know!!) WEST COAST AIR CONDITIONING IS A FIRST RATE COMPANY!!! I had a new HVAC system installed with air ducts replaced. I interviewed four companies before I chose West Coast Air. They were competitive, but they checked more of the boxes than the others. First I met with Letti. She explained the facts and figures and informed me of my options. There was no up-selling or gimmicky sales approach. She was very knowledgeable, honest and explained the systems clearly. She definitely made the decision making process easier. Next, Jake and Frank did the installation. It was smooth as butter. They were on time (you know that is a rarity), knowledgeable, respectful and organized. Excellent work. I was very impressed. This team of workers is excellent!! I have home built in 1958 with some asbestos and original heating system. I had a quote from another company which was good, but I believe one should get a few estimates for work. Ben Hummer, came over same day, within a few hours after my call!! He is a man of integrity and knowledgeable. He stated they could locate new heating system in attic (2 story home), remove old system including broken down ducts and asbestos, add a new vent to area which had no heat flow.... We also opted for an air conditioning system. The guys could have dishonestly charged me extra money for an electrical system I thought might need to be updated to accommodate the new air conditioner... THEY STATED I DID NOT NEED to do this. ($2,500 saved). I was able to communicate well with all the guys, no language barriers!!! I am 60 year old woman and felt very safe and comfortable with Alex, Dean, Nate, Guiermo all very respectful, neat, conscientious and informative. Great team work. My furnace hasn't worked for about 3 years now so we decided to replace it. I am so glad we contacted West Coast Air Conditioning for this project. Not only they were efficient but the customer service was excellent. Nick first came to our house to check if the furnace can be repaired. He was very patient in explaining to us what was wrong with the furnace and gave us options so we could make a decision that is feasible for us. His demeanor made us feel very comfortable and trusting that we decided to replace the furnace that is more energy efficient and cost effective. I also dealt with Ben who gave me a very reasonable price for a new furnace. He was very upfront, informative and very accommodating. Alex and Harley came over to install the furnace today. They were at my house on time. They were nice, pleasant and very friendly. The furnace was installed without a hitch. They cleaned the area really well too. The West Coast Air Conditioning team finished installing my HVAC today, and I couldn't be more pleased. Ben listened to my thoughts, and made some recommendations of his own. He told me what to expect for installation duration, and it was accurate. And his proposal was on target for my budget. Even when I had to leave town unexpectedly, in the middle of the installation, the crew didn't mind delaying the work until I returned. Alex was very good about giving me updates throughout the day, each day. Adam patiently described the changes that were made to the Circuit Breaker box, and how the Compressor worked. Aaron gave me a good answer to my question about what a  3.5 ton Condenser means. The whole crew worked well as a team. They always showed up on time, covered the open vent holes at the end of the day, and thoroughly cleaned up the work areas. And they were courteous and polite. When the project was completed today, I was left with pictures of the installed components and the manuals. I am not your typical homeowner as Nic can testify, I'm extremely anal and perfectionism flows in my veins. Nic showed up and tried to ease my concerns , jokingly announcing he was completely the opposite of me, but not to worry, he would take care of me. Nic is old school and extremely qualified and puts customers first. He got the ball rolling and kept me informed along the way. A complete pleasure to work with and totally reliable. The final day of my repair, West Coast sent Tannen and Jacob. I'm not certain if Nic had given them the fear of God speech but upon their arrival I spoke with them on the phone and kind of gave them both a 'brief' description of my expectations. When I arrived home and saw how well they had prepped to avoid and damages to flooring and walls I was blown away. They were both equally professional, courteous and obviously knew what they were doing. They were well-spoken and knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in detail.
