I came on a Friday around 6. There were a good number of people in here. Probably because everywhere else had a long wait since everyone was in town to see Tim McGraw and Faith Hill at Rupp. It was the same reason we came in too. Pies and Pints had a 40 minute wait. Anyway, no line at all. It's not a huge space but they never got slammed. I got a slice of cheese pizza and added a side Caesar salad. The pizza tasted like the kind you'd get from a mall food court. It satisfied because I was hungry but it was definitely not great. The Caesar salad was the star of the show. Very good! You can't mess up Caesar salad. The croutons were also really good. I paid about $6 so it wasn't a bad deal. My friends both got the spaghetti. It was huge! Hot with a ton of noodles and cheese melted all over the top. It also came with two breadsticks. They liked it. It seemed really filling. The breadsticks were definitely a selling point. Soft and warm. Anyway, I'm sure this place is a popular spot for lunch during the weekday. I ended up here before a UK basketball game because it had the shortest wait of area restaurants. I ordered a slice of pepperoni. It was inexpensive and was the perfect size for me to feel satisfied. I ordered a pepperoni calzone online and set the time to pick it up at 8pm. when I arrived they had made a pizza, not a calzone. Without apologizing, they asked me if I would like to wait ten minutes for them to prepare my order correctly. I said yes. After waiting they gave me the calzone. I had ordered pizza sauce and garlic butter, and instead received two containers of a sauce that I had not ordered. I went inside again to receive the correct sauces. Upon arriving to my home, I discovered that the calzone was sausage and not pepperoni. The staff here is an unapologetic mess and I will not visit again. read more

This place is the bomb. They give you homemade ranch with your pizzas. The Greek salad with grilled chicken never disappoints. Please don't judge them for the slower service. They are usually short handed as most establishments are these days. I visited once a week for several months as I worked close by. The chicken Caesar salad is delicious and their calzones are crazy good. My fiancé and I are ordering their calzones to feed the friends and family who are helping set up our wedding reception. Staff is terrible, they definitely don't understand the concept of quality customer service. Little Cesar's, would be cheaper, have better service, and smell better. Don't waste your time coming here (literally. You'll wait a good 10 minutes before someone actually comes to the register to help you). I got terrible service overall the first time I went but I thought maybe it was an off day and came back again a few days ago. Most regrettable 20$ I've ever spent. The workers are cocky, cheap, and act like they hate their job. As for the actual restarting, it has a gas station vibe. Needs updating and some air fresheners. So, this is a great lunch spot downtown. I actually love the flavor of their pizza. My husband especially loves it as well. You can go in and get a choice of 2 slices of pizza they keep on hand for the lunch special and a drink. The slices are a nice size and taste great. They usually have cheese, pepperoni, sausage or veggie on hand. Or you can be like me and get a small 2 topping pizza made to order and a drink as your special. But then again, it wasn't really that bad. Now, considering the price and portion, you are really left wanting more value. The small pizza ends up being right around $10, if you get a drink. Oh, brother! This place stinks! I walked all the way downtown with my boyfriend and walked in to order some pizza. Not only did the people in the kitchen glance at us and did not bother to help us until we asked (the store was empty and nowhere near closing time), but the woman was very rude when she finally did attend to us. We asked if we could buy pizza by the slice and she treated us as if we asked for free food. Ever inquisitive, my partner located this place on Yelp. Sounded better than Domino's and anything is better than Papa John's, so we ordered a pizza and a salad. Delivery was quick and the pizza was hot and exceptionally good. The salad that we shared was good. I spent a lot of time picking off black olives, but if you like those, there are more than enough on this salad. It was 20 degrees and snowing outside and no other traffic. The food was unreal. We Had combo of two topping pizza breadsticks and two drinks. This was hot fresh and fast. This is our absolute favorite pizza in town! I can't really speak to the restaurant condition as we've always had it delivered. We like how the pepperoni is hidden below a layer of cheese. So the pizza here wasn't BAD, per se, but it was pretty aggressively mediocre. Lots of canned veggies, mostly flavorless crust, pizza sauce that tastes pretty much not at all like tomatoes. I'd say price and flavor put it on par with a Papa John's or Pizza Hut: characterless, but inoffensive. If you're a pizza connoisseur...well, don't come to Lexington expecting cheap, excellent pizza (haul yourself back to NYC or Chicago). If my order had been correct, I would have said 3 stars (about where I'd put most major pizza chains), but, alas, it was not. I ordered calzones for takeout, had calzones verbally confirmed as my order, and got...small pizzas. Should have checked before I left, given the big "No refunds issued for incorrect orders" sign at the register, so that's definitely on me. But I didn't order when it was busy, my order was submitted online (so I couldn't have spoken wrongly), I DID enter the order correctly (have the email to prove it and everything!), and my order was SUPER simple (literally only 2 items, both calzones). So not really sure what happened there. Overall, I'd say it's worthwhile if you really want pizza, happen to be in the area, don't want to spend more than $15, and don't mind dealing with a wrong order. You can order a whole pizza or by the slice. I ordered their lunch special a 2 slices of pizza & soda for $5. I went and sat by the window to enjoy my lunch. All I can say is YUCK, PEW.
