If I could file this complaint against UPS online, telephone and West Coast Mail Center in Van Nuys with zero stars, I would. I am an older mature adult who due to COVID- MONKEYPOX- AND now the new and more virulent swine flu was forced to move my formerly brick-and-mortar Educational Consultancy to my now converted home to office, 1.) The electronic notice dated 8.12.2022 appeared at 2:45 pm Saturday 8.13.2022 sayin the package was delivered exactly when I went to my USPS LOCKED box monitoring my Internet radio broadcast via bluetooth at 12:45 pm. If anyone would have knocked on my door, I was home and could have received an essential delivery! Now I won't get the item needed to represent a client preparing to advocate with evil empire LAUSD. WAS THIS INTENTIONAL?!? Trust and believe it fits with the past 5 years of craziness ( 2014 to 2022, and counting). I will not ever do business with anyone only offering UPS as a delivery option (NEW EGG). UPS =BAD FOR YOUR BIG BUSINESS WITH small businesses. read more

I called because UPS delivered my package to an access point but did not say which access point. Fernando was super friendly and ready to help. He called UPS because I was not able to get in contact with them and waited for 30 minutes to get me answers. Fernando is awesome. Before this place I had a different mailbox place and the difference is like night and day. Not only does he go above and beyond in terms of reliability, but in the last 2-3 years various shippers have lost track of the occasional package, and Fernando can somehow always track them down! He seems to know people at the USPS, UPS etc which is very helpful. I really can't say enough good things about this place. Also he accepts outgoing mail (very helpful since the Post Office won't even take envelopes after hours, anymore); and sells mailing supplies and stamps. This is a very well run business. It's quite interesting that people would assume certain things due to their experiences and unfortunately this person did not have a good one. I have been a HAPPY client of West Coast Mail back when they were across the street from their location now. They have always been friendly and reliable. I remember when the pervious owner had it which I only meet twice. My go to person has always been "Fernando" he's always been pleasant, helpful and kind. During Christmas I get a LOT of packages since I don't really go to stores because of covid. I sometimes can't get to the location due to my job. He has always been nice and I know it may be an inconvenience for him at times because he needs the space for other clients. (I'm doing better with that lol) however, he has always kept his smile and handed my husband my packages and always tells him to tell me HELLO. If you need a mail box, or don't want to go to the post office (face it these days who does) then I would suggest to go and give WC mail your business. Keep away from this place at all costs!! Had to go to Fernando because my UPS package was delivered to him. He greeted and was very polite. Even made me laugh a few times. He asked for my name, found my package then asked me for my ID. I gave him my ID he wrote down my name and my DRIVES LICENSE NUMBER in the column designated for the pick up time . Most people that are ignorant, wouldn't think twice about giving there extremely sensitive info like that to someone who is very careless with such personal data. So called him out on it and his story kept changing as to why he wrote down my DL #. First he said it is required(but no column for it on his UPS log form?) Then he claimed someone came in with a fake ID and UPS fined him a $1000. So i asked him how does keeping track of everyone's DL# prevent fraud? You think anyone that makes a fake ID puts there real DL# on it?!? I mean come on....seriously? That's when i knew he was full of shit. I made him cross out my DL# but he refused to give me my package. I told him he has no right to do that but he was still adamant about not returning my package. So I was forced to call UPS and that's when things got real interesting. I asked to speak with a supervisor right away. I explained the situation and she verified that he is not required to write down my drivers license number and keep a copy of it. The supervisor Dan put me on hold and called Fernando on the other line. I overheard his conversation and his explanation was even more preposterous as to why he needed to keep a log of everyone's DL# that picks up a UPS package from him. After having a conversation with the supervisor he agreed to release my package. The supervisor came back on the line and fill me in on what happened even know I was overhearing the conversation. I persisted with making a formal complaint. When he overheard me talking he once again change his mind and said that he will not release the package. I still had the supervisor on the line so when I told her this she asked for me to put Fernando back on the phone. He tried to play it off with his "charm". After this 30min ordeal i finally got my package from that piece of shit. Funny how the truth comes out when you don't buy people's BS. Now i don't know what he does with all the sensitive data but i sure as shit do not trust him with it. Or his logic. This is a very stupid man that operates his business in a very asinine manner. I have also escalated this incident to LAPDs Van Nuys Office. Please do not allow this person to have your sensitive info. He does need to see it but not write it down and do god knows what with it. read more
