    Definitely try the BBQ brisket

Stopped by West Coast Sourdough for lunch and we were SO impressed! You will be greeted with a warm welcome from Carson and his team. They are all so friendly and hospitable. The sourdough is baked fresh daily, and you can definitely tell. It has the perfect crispy crust while still being soft on the inside. We tried the Turkey Pesto, French Dip, and BBQ Brisket, and all three were really good. The sandwiches were generously filled with fresh ingredients, so every bite had a good balance of meat, veggies, and flavor. The French Dip was especially satisfying with the au jus. Our favorite was the BBQ Brisket. The salads were huge and loaded with toppings instead of just being a bowl of lettuce. They also have soup bread bowls and flatbreads, so there's plenty to choose from if you're not in the mood for a sandwich. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick lunch with fresh ingredients and generous portions. They also do catering so definitely recommend looking into that. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Saw the positive reviews for West Coast Sourdough and thought I'd give them a try. Ordered online for pick up and arrived early. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Sandwiches come in three sizes - 4 inch, 6 inch and 8 inch. Pricing starts at $9.99 for the 4-inch, $12.49, $14.49. My 6-inch sandwich wasn't that big, which did make it easier to eat. It looked kind of basic, but the garlic pesto sauce was super tasty and the fresh sourdough bread was good. Overall, way better than Subway!

Went here for the first time today while in Irvine and short on time. Friendly greeting and service, the owner needed to help the young lands taking orders and he and my husband chatted a bit. We tried the pastrami, I got the veggie with pepper jack and my daughter had the garlic pest veggie. Too hungry and in a hurry to take pictures. Very fresh ingredients, good add ins and a nice variety on the menu. Food prepared quickly and the prices seem reasonable for today economy. Being a sourdough themed place, I was excited to try the bread and it was amazing. Fresh and with a good chew. I'm going to be in the area for the week d and will come back and try it again.

When it comes to bread, sourdough is king. Don't Rye about it. This you knead to know. Located in a small complex is a new sandwhich spot that is my new favorite. This place can get busy due to its proximity to a plethora of offices, and the grind with all hands on deck was ok n. This was on a Monday around 1pm. First of, the star, that bread. I got a pastrami sandwich but TBH the toasted bread won me over. Crunchy. Fresh. I loved it. I also had to get a bread bowl with clam chowder, and THAT bread stole the show. Fluffy. Crisp. Perfection. The clam chowder itself was also tasty, I wonder who makes it for them? Soda options are a let down with Pepsi products, however the strawberry watermelon was amazing. The Mango lemonade was a little strong, add some water or extra ice to melt to bring it back to drinkable. I added starry to make it less sugary. My only complaint was no butter? I always have leftover bread with an bread bowl, and sourdough just pairs so well with butter. They should also find a way to do a half sandwhich and soup deal for lunch... though Im not aware of their logistics if that's plausible. Shout out to everyone working there, rapport was great with many customers. Not me, but many others.

I would have never thought that I would be making an account to leave such a positive review. From the incredible service, to the freshly baked bread with top shelf produce, to the freshly baked cookies, I was completely blown away! I tried their chowder bread bowl and that was by far the best soup I've had in awhile! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is in the area!

First time here! The turkey sandwiches and harvest cheddar SunChips were very fresh, savory, crispy, crunchy, flavorful, and delicious. The bread was crunchy and chewy, just like it should be. Also, the Sprite, was super tasty, sweet, and refreshing, good service, nice atmosphere with upbeat music, and I had an excellent experience today.

Tried this new sandwich shop nearby Irvine Spectrum and it did not disappoint. Their clam chowder bread bowl and southwest chicken salad were so good! Service is awesome too! Ambience is bright and cheerful Thanks to Carson and Erica for the hospitality!

This is hands-down the best Italian sub I've had in a long time! The bread was perfectly crispy, the ingredients were fresh, and the portion size was incredibly filling. I'm also a huge fan of their clam chowder bread bowl. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself is clean with great seating. Service is lightning-fast, too! Highly recommended!!

It's a beautiful little spot in an unassuming shopping plaza. They've got good seating and a cute outside patio! Love that! But enough about how the place looks; let's talk about how it tastes! This right here is a nice cafe, serving up bits and bites, and lattes: hot and iced. With their coffee, they use beans from a fantastic local roaster, and with their matcha, they're using some primo stuff! We ordered some matcha today, for that true Japanese experience. I got a mango matcha latte, and I got the regular. The mango has that awesome balance of fruity and bright flavor that enhances that earthy matcha. Silky smooth and delicious too! The standard matcha is just a lovely classic. It's a matcha, and a good one! What's not to like? We were a bit hungry too. Luckily, the sandwiches looked fantastic, so we opted for those! I got the Brio Brio banh mi, which is a cold and fresh sando that features jidori chicken, and a Vietnamese-style slaw mix that's got crunchy veg, crispy onions, and some zingy dressings! I know it looks a little plain, but the flavors packed into it are nothing short of yummy! I chose a chicken pesto sando, which comes with the jidori chicken as well. It also prominently features a grilled tomato along with the titular arugula pesto! The bread is toasted well, and the texture is impressively fluffy! Sweet, savory, and simply scrumptious! Together with the matcha, I think it's a perfect meal to have on the patio like this! It's summertime, so what are you waiting for? Patio dining is the way to go, especially at a place like Brio Brio!

The place itself was big and spacious with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. The portion sizes were generous, which made it feel worth the price. However, one downside was the lettuce quality and size. There were tons of brown pieces that I needed to filter through and pieces were cut fairly large making it hard to eat. Overall, the pricing felt reasonable for the amount of food but just which there were a little more attention to prep would have made the salad better.

I saved my rewards points for a free entree only to get this?!…read more I was heading out of town for the Memorial Day weekend and wanted to stop by sweetgreen to redeem my points for a free entree, up to $18. Sweetgreen's app only mentions how many of your points would expire within 90 days, but doesn't give a more precise date. So like 60 days? 30 days? 2 days? I wanted to make sure I redeemed my hard-earned points before they would expire. This sweetgreen is located in Irvine Spectrum Center where the 5 meets the 405. Despite the ginormous amount of parking, I got so lucky when a car pulled out as I was trying to look for a spot nearby; otherwise, I probably would have had to park closer to Target instead. As soon as I came in, I was met by delivery and pickup shelves, and as I sidestepped to the right, I noticed the setup was more similar to the Torrance location than the Long Beach location. Since I'm more accustomed to the Long Beach location, I was expecting there to be kiosks, but there weren't any. AJ immediately came over to offer help, though it was a welcome that became unwelcome as he was quite condescending. I wasn't totally sure how I'd be able to redeem my points for a free entree in store, especially since I find that the sweetgreen app isn't as user-friendly compared to other restaurants' apps. AJ's response was simply "you can order online or in store." Uhh okay, thanks Captain Obvious, but I was asking how I can redeem my points for a reward in store. Making me look like an imbecile doesn't answer the question! AJ and Jordan were busy preparing entrees for a single customer and a party of two, respectively, in front of me. It took several minutes for Jordan to finally get to me, and that even included another employee going back and forth; I almost thought that employee would be the one to serve me, but I guess he was supposed to be in the back doing something else. During those several minutes of waiting, I had decided on a Miso Glazed Salmon plate, which is $17.25. However, I noticed their CYO section of the menu mentioning that toppings could be anywhere from 65 cents to $2.25. I tried looking around to see how to tell how much a particular topping would cost, but had no way to tell! So if you were to select 4 extra toppings to go with your entree, you could pay as much as $9 or as little as $2.60 extra. Big difference! When Jordan finally got around to servicing me, I told her I wanted the Miso Glazed Salmon protein plate, but also asked how I'd be able to tell how much an extra topping would cost. She did mention that the colder toppings were 65 cents, but the avocado was a counterexample as she mentioned it was one of the $2.25 toppings. Fortunately, it would already come with the salmon. Anyways, I saw that Jordan was about to add the white rice to the plate, but I stopped her and asked if I could switch that out with the quinoa since I'm trying to eat less white rice in my diet. She made that switch, no hassle, no problem. I then asked about the broccoli and corn, both of which were 65 cents. Between the two, I went with the broccoli, bringing my total to a dime less than $18. At the register, Jordan asked if I wanted the dressing on the side or mixed in. I preferred on the side. However, I had to scan my QR code several times before the transaction would finally go through. Afterwards, she asked if I'd like some sourdough bread, to which I couldn't say no. I also asked for a water cup, and she handed me one. I went towards the front door to get a fork, napkins, and some water from the water dispenser. Then, I sat at a table by the rear wall to enjoy my salmon plate. Or tried to, at least. I noticed there wasn't any kind of sauce in the plate despite sweetgreen offering up to 3. I could have went up to ask, but with how unwelcoming AJ was and how indifferent Jordan seemed, didn't feel comfortable to as more customers came in to place their orders. At least the ingredients tasted fresh, and I enjoyed them individually. However, without a sauce, I felt like I got deprived of what could have been a tasty meal. I did get kind of lucky with the salmon, even though I didn't taste much of the miso glaze. I noticed Jordan opening the salmon bin, and there were only two filets inside. After finishing my plate, I used one of the two restrooms they have in the rear. I had trouble with both the sink and the hand dryer not working in a timely manner that I almost thought I'd have to leave with soap on my hands! It took much longer than expected to finally wash my hands and leave. However, before I left, I looked at the menu and saw that the Miso Glazed Salmon would come with spicy cashew, which didn't sound like a sauce, but the sign showing the sauces indicated it was! I really did get shortchanged on the spicy cashew sauce! :( Now that I only have a few points left, I doubt I'll return to a sweetgreen soon, even the Long Beach one, after such a disappointing visit to this sweetgreen.
