I went twice. First time ok. Just ok. Second time ok. Nothing to write home about. But I will NEVER set foot in there again because as we were paying the bill, I glanced over at the commotion by the portable gumball machine. One of the owners had his grubby hands inside of the dome where all the gumballs were in (he unscrewed it) and proceeded to fish out a certain one out for some little girl~swirling his hand around! Ordered delivery was told 35 minutes for, which was very reasonable. Had to call back after 1 hour and was told it's on its way, waited 25 more minutes only to get a sad, cold pizza. Called the restaurant and they tried telling me I ordered only 30 minutes ago. Needless to say this is the last time we will be ordering from here. All I can say is retchid! I am writing this as I try to eat. Ordered out after two 14 hour work days. Ordered house special pizza for delivery. Was delivered a 1/2 cooked, lukewarm at best, soggy, wet pizza. Had very large, raw barely cooked onions, some peppers were cooked, some were raw. Big waste of money and by far the worst pizza I have ever had.. one star is for the delivery driver, very nice kid. read more

My wife and I went for a mid-week dinner---we ate in the cozy bar area which is seperate from the main dining hall...the chicken parm was outstanding--huge portion with ziti and sauce, salad and soup ....i really like the layout of the bar--it has a raised section with leather couches if you just want to grab a drink and chill or watch a game---has lots of sports memorabilia--next time I will try the pizza...the service by the blond bartender was very professional--she is a doll! read more

On our last visit to West Main Pizza in Plainville we requested seating for two. This gentleman, who was tallying receipts, told us to go sit in the bar. We stated we wanted to sit in the dining room. He then proceeded to tell us to either go sit in the bar or go somewhere else. We chose to go elsewhere. A woman who was picking up her pizza commented on how rude this individual was. We will never go back to this place again. And we did have a lovely dinner at Sax's Pizza. We wouldn't even give West Main Pizza one star. read more

Can't speak to how good or bad the food is because I never got that far. I called in an order for a large pizza with cheese on half and three toppings on the other half. When I got to the restaurant to pick it up, I was met with a man at the front counter wearing a sweatband and mirrorred sunglasses, who turned out to be the owner. When he got my pizza, it was a small. I explained I had ordered a large and he said they could make me a medium to go with it but I would have to wait. Not wanting to wait, he told me the small pizza was $5. I told him I wasn't going to purchase the pizza as it wasn't enough to feed my family. He then tossed the pizza across the counter and said "here, take it then". For an owner, his appearance and behavior was completely rude and unprofessional. Not happy!! From a person that lives in the neighborhood and orders exclusively from wmp! Monday night 8:40 call for delivery, they refuse but state we can pick up, really needed delivery, I hang up. Upon realizing I made a mistake so I call right back at 8:41 and the say too bad kitchen is now closed!! Mind you the hrs state till 9. It's ok though I will take tonight's and future business elsewhere!! read more

Visited West Main tonight. It has always been my favorite hometown pizza restaurant. Ordered the chicken parmesan and it was excellent - large portion and great flavor. Received excellent service, as well. I would highly recommend West Main Pizza! read more

Classic Plainville pizza the best in town. The very best meatball grinders. If you grew up in Plainville this is the place kids went to in the 80's and now as adults we still come back. Location has changed but same great family owns it and runs it. Food taste just as good today as it did then... read more

OUTSTANDING pizza and other foods! Friendly staff too. Yes, the place appears outdated in the front but the place is very clean and has a cozy atmosphere inside. I have tried ALL the other pizza shops in town since I moved to Plainville in 2009 and this is by far superior pizza. The family owned and operated joints are what I prefer and West Main Pizza is the only one I go to now in Plainville. Others have come and gone and others are just plain crap... Please keep up the high standards and family appeal. read more

The food is not the issue - it's OK to good. We went there and there it took us 1 hour to get our food. But that wasn't the issue either. When we went up to pay, the owner (lady) saw my wife's face and asked if everything was OK. She said since you asked, it took an hour to get our food. The owner said that they have been open since 11:00 AM and she was the first to complain and that they have been in business for 45 years. My wife said, well you asked me so I told you. The owner said that "You must complain everwhere you go!" My wife said "What did you ask me for if you didn't want to know or didnt care?" The owner said "Get out and never come back!" I couldn't believe it! I have never seen the owner of any business react so harshly to something that could have been handled so easily. We will never eat there again. I am still in disbelief that this lady could be so disrespectful to a customer If you demand to be treated with respect, do NOT go to this place. Both Sax's pizza and Pagliaggi's pizza is much better anyway. read more
